I know we're all expecting it to just be a house based off of the original movie; but, I think there's a good chance it could be a "Sam presents" type of house with some other scenes included.

That would be interesting.  Would be neat if they could get a contract that didn't handcuff A&D.  If they had to stick with the movie, it would be hard to not outright copy at least two of the scenes from the scarezone.  That might not go over very well.  But a house warning what happens when traditions are not respected would be really interesting.  Could range from humor to fright to gore.

ooh, could this be the "semi-original" we've been hearing about?

I'm sure there will still be stuff from the original so that they can re-use some costumes and/or props. I'm thinking the scenes will be set up much like @zombiemanis suggesting. We see someone disrespecting tradition, Sam comes and teaches them a lesson.

HHN seems to have a good relationship with the director (a well received Krampus house, and a kill scarezone last year). So, I'm sure Dougherty/Warner will give them some breathing room.

Plus, there is a separate comic (Trick 'r Treat: Days of the Dead) and the upcoming sequel that they could potentially pull from.

Ohhhh, the irony.   The new Bill & Ted movie has been officially announced with original actors reprising their roles.  What does this mean for HHN besides a huge bowl of #regret?

Honestly I just didn't find the 26 B&T show to be very funny, it felt exactly like a Seltzerberg movie--"we're acknowledging that these movies exist!" The Stranger Things and Deadpool references were particularly egregious in that regard.

Once again, I'm happy that they have more budget for elsewhere. Look how good the announcements for the first two houses have been; I can't help but wonder if that's part of the increased budget they have from B&T's absence.

(At least, that's how I feel, and I understand and respect those who would disagree with me.)

Finally a new B&T movie!  Wouldn't it be cool if HHN's new show was based on those characters?

Rule - Analogy

So I went through many pages on the IU forum a couple of hours ago but since the clues are here I'm taking a shot at Clue 5.

Things we know:

5 is an original

The code name is Poison

Things I think I know:

I could have sworn I read somewhere Run was a good guess

Part 1: Shall we resume the stabbing?

Potentially a sequel?

Part 2: Someone was focussing on the beer but I think the giveaway is Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Now this is where I have 2 WILDLY different theories. Theory 1 is my original theory. Theory 2 came to as I wrote this out

Theory 1 - Steve Austin was in a movie called the Condemned about a Deathrow Prisoner Battle Royale. The 3rd Gif (You are now prisoners) makes me think we're getting a Hellgate Sequel.

Theory 2 - this one's a little out there. The Wikipedia page for the Condemned says Steve Austin's name in the film is John Conrad. Joseph Conrad is the writer of Heart of Darkness (if you haven't read the book maybe you've seen Apocalypse Now). Gif 3 reminds me of a Heart of Darkness/ Apocalypse Now Col. Kurtz type situation

How? Legacy specifically said it relates to word count.

Words per line. It was 4:2:2. Convert that to 4:22. :)

Normally I'd let you figure all that out, but we've got one day to go until the reveal anyway. A clip show of things you haven't seen before... or whatever it said.

I was re-reading the excellent HHN book by Chris Ripley last night to get a feel for the original dead exposure, where there was a note to say that in that year, one original concept didn’t get off the ground as they changed the icon. It was called “un-magic kingdom”, and would have  essentially been a theme park gone wrong. This sounds like a great concept, and I could see it fitting quite nicely with the R&M clue set 3.

I wonder how Crow fit into "un-magic kingdom", unless it was the traveling carnival of the past gone wrong, as it ended up on his land??

The icon wasn’t Nathaniel Crowe, I’d have to look it up.

The only Icon changes as a collective whole we are aware thanks to aiello , I believe at least are Cindy, Crow, and Eddie going unused...anything else I'm missing gang?

I'm sure there are tons more, but those are the  fleshed out stories we have to look at of unused. Unless we are adding Bone or whoever to this group since we didnt real get a story with him, I'll leave it out for now.

“The original idea for the icon this year would have been ‘The Evil Queen’, the concept would have heavily geared the event towards mocking their mousy neighbour. There was even discussions of a house called ‘Unmagic Kingdoms’ where various familiar attractions had gone awry”

and there you have it!

So could this be Clue 5? I actually watched the episode and it all sorta sounds like someone creating their own world to escape reality? And then there were the theories of Beth being a clone, maybe it’s someone making clones that snap (it’s funny that Blade Runner was actually mentioned in that episode). Or maybe something to do with missing kids that end up in a twisted type of theme park that ends up all being imaginary??

Edit: sorry, you were talking about Clue 3 NVM me!!
