HHN XXI Speculation

I think this would be discouraged since the actors are there to scare and not for photo ops. Yes some will pose but they are not required to.

My reaction exactly. I love the contest idea but with so many mixed feelings about photo ops (some guests love it, others don't. Some scareactors love it, others don't) so it would take some major re-training on the subject. I don't see it happening.

For the Icon "The Dealer" if it is our icon i could imagine him wearing a long sleeved white shirt with red vest and black tie and hell walk around with playing cards but these playing cards will have the ability to come to life and preform his bidding... oh and on his clothes blood spatter you know common feature amoung the icons

I keep thinking it's a female Icon, if we have one. We haven't had one since Mary so it's been a while.

Maybe a personafication of good luck and bad luck, embodied in a "two-face" like persona. Half beautful (the good luck) and half hideous (the bad luck). Or a maybe a male dealer with two side kicks and the same kind of thing like Two-Face had in Batman Returns, only a "good luck charm" and a "bad luck charm". When I think of casinos, I think of luck. But I don't know I don't know why I am relating this all to Batman characters.

i have come up with some evidence to back up you theory that lady fate is the icon!

if you watch the teaser the queen is holding a knife. Tradiotional queen's of spades cards hold flowers, this links also to that the hand has been cut off?

Also it is the queen of spades, you would dig a grave with a spade :D which is linked to the word Death which was hinted to us early this year,

my last point is the red hair, this stands out and there has only been one other female character with red hair which is Chance, adding to this last year one of the key characteristic's of Chance was her knife....

My Rough idea's

Now for enviorment,After carefully analyzing the writting and music im thinking along the lines of an Abandoned Vegas casino where this icon probably died but refuses to leave much like the usher.... if anyone has played New Vegas then you will be familliar with the Sierra Madre Casino(not the villa).. something like that or if anyone has played Red Dead Redemption then you will be familliar with the Wreck of the Serndipity and steamboat gambling parlor that is another possible choice...wat do you think??

On the teaser it said for the intro "BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WAGER.... BECAUSE NOBODY BEATS THE HOUSE"

In card games you try to beat other players as well as the dealer. I'm assuming a storyline could be that if someone does happen to beat the dealer, perhaps in a game of blackjack, the dealer takes revenge on those who beat them. Hence the what looks to be severed arm in the little intro we received today.

I just heard from one of my sources that the icon will be a returning female, but won't be Chance.

Let's just say there's a reason smoke exist in that teaser video.

(I wonder how she'll look as a showgirl...)

Young storyteller?

I thought the idea was to retire the old characters, used or not used? However, I'm def. thinking that the character is related to a death of some sort. The ace of Spades is the card of death when you translate playing cards to their roots as tarot cards. Now that I have time to think about the theme, perhaps maybe we could see a failed magician within the haunt. One that mutilates for entertainment, I mean think about it, magicians/ specifically illusionists, torture girls for entertainment. I'm still skeptical about the theme, but the more I think about the possibilities, the better this gets.

Taking what you said about the meaning of the Ace of Spades, this is how I see it:

TAROT CARD TRANSLATION:

The Queen of Spades : Representing the energy of a Queen, this feminine power was traditionally known as a widow, crone or divorcee. In modern times, she can be viewed as a model of self-sufficiency, independence and intelligence. She often has extremely high standards due to her subtle sensitivities, which can be perceived by those around her as being critical or hard to please. Her true motive is to refine the world, to upgrade peoples' understanding -- so that everyone can have the space they need to become fully themselves.

Sounds like an icon to me. A black widow of sorts. Who kills the men who defy or hurt her (thus the cut off hand). A powerful queen
