HHN Hollywood X (2011) Speculation

Recommended Posts

I would love to see a Scream house. I wasn't attending the event yet when Orlando did their shout-out to Ghost Face back in 06 with the All Nite Die-In 2. I hear it was pretty cool though. And where is this picture you guys are talking about? I would love to see it; it sounds deliciously gorey<3

Here you go.

I dont see them skiping any of the movies honestly there most likely gonna do all 4

Maybe they will. I haven't seen the original Nightmare on Elm Street maze, but from what I understand, they incorporated all of the major scenes very well. If they do incorporate all the major scenes, I'm sure they'll reuse props for the high school; especially if this maze ends up in the Shrek queue. YOU THEY WILL. ;)

Thats true and untrue. If anything they'll use small elements from 2 & 3. They didn't have too many USE-ABLE environments. I see 1 being a bigger part of it, as well as 4.

The original NOES was horrible. Home Sweet Hell was much better and thats the one that included elements from all the films.

Any further speculation? Anyone think of any obscure but still successful horror movies we're forgetting lately?

One big property we forgot. This one. Be warned! It's terrifying!

EDIT: Screw it. Video got pulled. It was going to be that Prom Night song by Rebecca Black. Be thankful WMG had mercy on your soul and pulled for copyright issues.

what need to be pointed out about the first NOES maze is that the reason why it sucked was because they reused the entire maze from the privouse year (The Asylum) and just put fressy in it.

Freak, the link didn't work! But I imagine you put Never Say Never or something lol

Which reminds me, I'd love to hear THIS song at HHN:

Thanks for allowing my precious mind to get raped by such awfulness.

Back to speculation, I think the chances of Evil Dead showing up this year aren't really as good as it was at the beginning of the year. Why? Because of that stupid remake. If the chances of a maze on Evil Dead were to be slashed by a new movie, I'd MUCH rather it be based on a sequel that a freaking remake. First the remake is happening, then it gets canceled, then Remi likes the idea of a remake, goes back to it, and then Murdy will want to wait until the remake comes out. Is the maze going to happen, or not? Come on?

the thing is the remake is in limbo and has been for years who even knows if it will even be made (I hope not) so im sure there still a chance

Don't know if you had heard this, but the Hollywood Creative team (supposedly) were massive fans of Orlando's Catacombs when they came through last year. ;)

Murdy was actually able to go to Orlando? Interesting. Maybe this will mean some sort of catacomb-themed overlay for House of Horrors this year. That would be VERY easy to do. Though it wouldn't be based off Orlando's version.

I don't know specifically who, only that a group of Hollywood Creative members went through all of the Orlando houses. Considering our Director was the one escorting them, I wouldn't put it outside the realm of possibility that Murdy was among them.

Murdy did say he just had lunch with the creative director of your event...Hmmm.....

except Murdy makes it clear every year that he wont use ANYHTING from Orlando

Yeah, that's why I said it wouldn't be based off of Orlando's version. lol I meant to say that it would have a different sort of catacomb theme.

I highly doubt Murdy was there, unless he went after HHN was over. Hes always out and about during our event. But thats beside the point, did I miss spec on the house code named "soap opera?" If not, ideas?

How could Murdy go over there after HHN? Theirs closes on the first day of November like ours does. lol

As for "Soap Opera", I can't believe I forgot to bring that up! My guess is that it could be Wolfman (Not trying to be bias here, but it's kind of hard :P ). I mean, the relationship between Talbot and that lady could represent a "soap opera". Just my guess here.

Well I can tell you what Soap Opera DOESN'T mean. Sure isn't Evil Dead, Trick 'R Treat or Hostel. None of those have thick enough plots.

He could be referring to Scream or Wolfman (for reasons Freak just listed). As where Scream, well it takes place at high school and it has plenty of twists and turns, backstabbings and etc. My bet is it's on Scream!

Please, oh please, let this a Rebecca Black maze. Not only would it creep the heck outta me with that scary autotuned voice, but I would ask her out so I could take her to a Radiohead or Opeth concert to show her what real music is. lol

But I hope Murdy has thought about these hints carefully. After all, "The unexpected is the new cliche". -Scream 4

BTW, to me, this year looks like it's going to be 2010 on what could have been here last year. That's just how I see it with TrT, Scream, and Evil Dead or Wolfman.

EDIT TO ADD: Murdy just said that "Soap Opera" will take place in the Shrek queue. Interesting. I think my theory may be correct and DTH may be right since Shrek queue would be an ideal place for Scream.

Yup, I see a TV and a couch. Scream, it is, indeed.

"Don't look behind you...don't look behind you."

I'm a bit surprised. I was expecting something like, "Scream it is OMG THIS IS AMAZING! :D " or something like that.

Review of our speculation:

-Original House of Horrors overlay

-Original 3D RZ maze in T2 queue

-Evil Dead possibly in the WWW arena

-Scream in the Shrek queue

-Trick r Treat in the new location (JP queue)

-Hostel or Resident Evil (Based on the movies) in the lower lot.

you guys know how murdy is....have you thought that is codenames could possibly have nothing to do with the maze itself but be something like an inside joke of his? but you guys have made some pretty awesome accusations and i hope they're right!!!

Wai wai wai, where did Resident Evil come from? Hahaha

And I hope to God that Scream doesn't go to the Shrek Venue. I'm still hoping for some awesome outside sets.

Resident Evil I just threw in there....just 'cuz. It's possible....but I couldn't think of anything besides Hostel. Speaking of that venue, I hope Murdy does something a bit different with that venue. Whatever maze goes down there, I hope Murdy changes the pattern just slightly, at least. Instead of going the usual zig-zag up and/or zig-zag down pattern, maybe the path can zig-zag up and then down and up then zig-zag up and exit....if that makes any sense.

But someone guessed on Twitter that "Soap Opera" is Scream, but Murdy said, "The cat does not agree with your speculation". That doesn't mean Murdy himself disagrees. ;) Honestly, I think Scream would be a good fit for the Shrek queue. I mean, the environments are kind of small, sort of like MBV or NOES so it could fit in there. TrT should go in the JP queue since the dark canvas would compliment the forest scene.
