QuestionMark
Why would they put the Casino, which would be the house for the main theme, in a tent and not a soundstage? Doesnt make much sense.
Gambit
Why would they put the Casino, which would be the house for the main theme, in a tent and not a soundstage? Doesn't make much sense. Well they put Bloody Mary in the Jaws Queue in 2008 so why not the Casino in a tent. Besides, tent houses can be just as amazing as a soundstage houses. Just look at the Catacombs last year for example.
Oysterhead00
The interior of as stage simply offers more control than does a tent, and drunks are far less likely to molest the monsters. (The damage done in the original Thing house by passing idiots was sad to behold.) Just curious as to how the house location affects drunks??? JDW
Just curios, as I've been following this thread since it was part I, but where did this speculation come from that Sting alley was going to be full of hags? This is an assumption by some. There are some whispers of a Hag-like character in Sting Alley... Although I highly doubt it would actully be "hags" from The Coven. Remember this is a map Gambit made and purely based off specualtion. My two cents: A pirate house is very possible but I would place it elsewhere based on code names. (could be completely wrong however). The WWI house is still a vague rumore that I haven't heard anything else about since the initial whisper in March. I have heard from an inside source that The Thing will be in a soundstage, but will be sharing with another, so it will not be in 22 Then we have conflicting sources. I do believe quite a bit of dis-info is out there to lead us astray. A lot of my good soruces from the past are disagreeing. I don't know if any are intending to but it could be a plan to confuse. wasnt S&S gonna be in the Jaws Queue? Originally this was the thought... and it may still be. But new info suggests Possible 23a.

Blizzrock13
Well they put Bloody Mary in the Jaws Queue in 2008 so why not the Casino in a tent. Besides, tent houses can be just as amazing as a soundstage houses. Just look at the Catacombs last year for example. It always depends on what the house is going for. The tents are great for a more cramped atmosphere, but if you want to see jaw-dropping sets, the soundstages or the parade building are going to be the best locations. I've always hated that RoF was tossed to the Jaws queue like an afterthought, when it could've easily been a classic if put in the right place. If the casino is the icon house, I'd rather seen (presumably) lady luck displayed with extravagance, rather than subjugated to the event as a whole. But...hey -- universal can see the big picture of what they're going for, whereas I can only make largely uninformed conjectures. ~Blizz
Goo
How could they possibly put a theme like Saws&Steam in a SS? They wouldn't be able to use Chainsaws. Unless they took the Chainsaws out of the picture. But then it wouldn't truly be S&S in my opinion. I feel like, if there is a S&S house, it's in the Jaws Queue. JDW
They can't use Chainsaw in Jaws either. It is an even more enclosed space and they would gas everybody out. However they can use eprompt/electric. (Like was done in Last years Hallowed past house and PS:HFTH)
Bsquare
Just curious as to how the house location affects drunks??? What I mean is that the soundstage location makes it more difficult to get at and steal/deface/destroy sets, props, and the like. And yes, you don't have to be drunk to mess with the props, anyone with two hands and a low IQ can do that, so I hereby and forthwith apologize for offending Oysterhead and, indeed, all alcoholics in general. HA HA HA, no need to formally apologize. We're happy, quiet drunks and would never touch anything. The way you said "Touch Creatures" I took it to mean Scaractors so was confused about what the location had to do with it. I guess I assumed PROPS would be stuff like the spinning tunnel destroyed and stuff like that (we went the first weekend and that already was ripped!). WIth the creature props in The Thing....I didn't put 2 and 2 together. I hate those @$$holes that deface the stuff.
Carnagefan
There are the sound box chain saws like the one used in havoc as far as defacing stuff it really can't be stopped doesn't matter what haunt it is that happens Edited August 3, 2011 by Carnagefan

Not necessarily... remember Dracula? By a few weeks in, there were holes punched in the facade. And that was in pretty much the most wide-open and brightly lit part of the house, in full view of both other guests and employees. In other speculation, the newest pic uploaded to twitter seems to indicate something demon-themed this year. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's something related to Sprung 1, since there's a "floating head" cast there, and I seem to recall there being speculation of some sort of demonic/cult house there. Goo
I too thought of the floating head name, and they do look like they're kind of hanging... Maybe they're puppets that someone will move around? Looks pretty freakin wicked.

Maybe they're puppets that someone will move around? Looks pretty freakin wicked. I'm expecting something more along the lines of a "which one is real" type thing. They've done it before, in Jack's house in 2007 and I'm pretty sure before that, where there's several heads "floating" but one or two of them are actually scareactors wearing a black jumpsuit and a mask. Kenny
it kinda looks like something from china maybe a peek at a chinese new year scarezone?
Sohrin
This a random bit of speculation, but when I hear of lady luck possibly being the icon, I think of her in a demonic version; a succubus (especially how the ones in World of Warcraft) is the vision I get for her....'anyone else have the same thought? Dr. Satan
So, here's my speculation... The orange demon/dragon heads seem to be the same or similar texture as the heads in the vortex tunnel at The Hallow'd Past last year. They're lit the same way and are obviously 2D. Now, the other heads definitely appear to be hanging. What if this is a Chinese New Year hint? They have lion and dragon dancers that look a lot like the ones in the photo. Remember the colored street roles. (For a better look at the image, go here: http://twitpic.com/60ipbn/full )
RingMaster
It's not the scarezone, it's one of the houses: Note one of the cards is green, and when you click on it, the picture of the demon head thingys pops up.
Lizz
Ooooooooh, floating demon head thingys. At least I can see the blue light come into fruition. Are you implying the blue light and this image are related? Because I can say with almost certainty that they are not. Two separate ideas/clues. I'm expecting something more along the lines of a "which one is real" type thing. They've done it before, in Jack's house in 2007 and I'm pretty sure before that, where there's several heads "floating" but one or two of them are actually scareactors wearing a black jumpsuit and a mask. I'm thought of that room in Jack's Funhouse after seeing this picture too. Definitely leaning to Sprung 1 for this one.
