I had previously thought that SS23A was the most logical location for the Thing House. However while watching the new trailer for the upcoming film I noticed at 1:52 something that I know for a fact is now located in SS22.

So I am not quite sure what to make of it.

As for Jaws, chainsaws yes, steampunk? maybe not so much.

I have always thought SS22 would be the best (IF they wanted it colder)

A chopper would be pretty much place it there. (don't think they had those in WWI or at least they would look very different.)

Just noticed that any update so far has been on a tuesday, the first 28th june, the second 19th july, exactly 21 days in between.

So with this being hhn 21, will the update be every 21 day?

Will the next update be 2nd of august?

They would have to be big frickin' updates. That would mean the following one would have to be the 23, and at that point you might as well launch the full site, because the next update after that would be September 13, which is way too late.

Personally, I hope not. Realistically, I have to doubt it.

Highly unlikely

Well... darn you Dr. Jimmy! So much for my ideas about the soundstages. Completely lost now for 23A.

I was thinking that it would have been in SS23A as well. Oh well guess we can now focus on the other houses.

They put THAT in the soundstage? This is going to be amazing!

I agree that would be amazing, but i have to make sure you are talking about the same trailer. There are two thugs shown at 1:52 on my trailer, something awesome, and something that is just a set... But yeah, I hope it's the earlier of the two- that would add some real life to it.

I found the one on the HHN site on YouTube and timed it that way.

What was on the screen at 1:52 was....wow.

Talking about props that may be in The Thing house I have a question. Seeing as the movie has just been made and not released yet is it possible they will use some of the actual props from the movie? It would certainly save on the cost and be rather cool. Could the chopper youre all talking about be the one out of the movie for instance? If the end of the new movie stays true to the start of the original shouldn't it blow up or is my memory failing me?

It's big, bladed, rhythmic and mobile.

I apologize very deeply for getting people needlessly excited. When I gave the time marker on the Thing trailer I inadvertently gave the time remaining in the trailer rather than the time past. Both show up on my screen when I freeze frame. It was 1:52 time remaining which was actually 00:33 in the trailer.

The object I know about is not as Legacy said "big bladed, rhythmic and mobile". It's felt and has a lot of balls.

 That's entirely inappropriate for a family website.

As much as I would have loved that I didn't believe it any way, that helicopter would have to be tremendously scaled down if it were to fit in SS 22 which only has a clearence of 23'. However who's to say a partial one crashed into the snow at the end won't fit...

I can't help but think a Pool Table is not solid enough evidence for The Thing to be in SS22. I could say a Pool Table is for a Shaun of the Dead house, because they used one in the Winchester. A Pool Table could also fit in a Casino or Gambling hall (especially a period based one). Speakeasies would often be hidden in in the back of pool halls in the 1920's, so a pool table in a Casino is not a stretch. Considering, neither of the two actresses in the new The Thing have even played a Sarah, and Widow isn't a role that works.

Unless we have more evidence that the Thing is in SS22, the roles don't seem to point that way, and it's still kinda a toss-up on what is where in the Soundstages.

They are saying thats evidence for The Thing because they used a pool table in the first house. (The Thing: Assimilation, I think thats what it was called)

And I'm saying that's not enough because a pool table can fit in multiple themes.

Also, I don't think there was a pool table in 2007 because that one didn't take place at the Norwegian camp.
