"The Thing" as in the remake? I can see where they might re-do this house. Saves money and all. The original one was pretty good, but it would be nice to see a new movie-bases house this year.

The film itself is a prequel to John Carpenter's film.

A massive cleanup was done today. Let's try to keep the speculation about the things we know and not about what we want or some plain random stuff. We have a wishful thinking thread for all the miscellaneous discussion.

Better yet, let's hope we can make it through another 3-4 weeks (hopefully sooner) until we get all our information and we can end speculation!

So I was looking back at the fourms and not many people have been talking about the Jaws Queue codnames. Insomniac and Bubble. Not alot of information but maybe it means a person with insomnia and maybe it drives them insane? Not sure about Bubble... if anyone has anything to contradict this then let me know so I can think on that Idea too...

More than likely not happening, but Stephen King's Insomnia, which also had to do with the fates, had people with bubbles over their heads. But good idea if it did happen.

aristo dead #4 tent 2

Found out this one the other day.

If that's true perhaps there is a character related to Aristotle. Aristotle is also credited with creating the word "luck". I will leave this post with a quote from his writings translated that seems appropriate.

"What is not capable of action cannot do anything by chance"

Not much for "inside information" but I was out at Uni last weekend and was speaking to one of the Jaws cast members. The person said that the rumor floating around the Uni cast is that the Jaws house will be some sort of "fear extraction" house. The person probably was basing this on complete conjecture, but knowing how you guys love any info, I figured I would throw it out there.

With a new clean-up comes a new recap. While we got very little as far as confirmed information, there is a great deal of information flying around that allows to speculate on what is occuring this year. Again, this is not an all encompassing list, as this is based on previous, open discussion or documented information. Some "Whispers" have been flying around for months that I have not included either because the sources have purposely kept the information limited or there is little information outside of conjecture. The purpose of this recap is to allow individuals to "catch-up" or remind themselves of things that have been discussed already.

* New information is marked with an asterix.

Spec Recap

What we know for sure

The entrance for the Sprung 2 house (Havoc) is where the exit normally is, meaning we have different crowd flow coming out of that house than in the past.

The façade for Jaws is built further out than normal (and is getting a true façade).

Sprung 1s Room #8 is known in the permits as the Rune Room.

Three of the houses have some sort of overhang requiring sprinklers to be installed (possible a ceiling or Up-Scares).

None of the previous Icons are returning.

* There are at least 8 houses and 6 Scarezones (theyre not cutting back). Houses are in the same locations as last year. Scarezones are in Hollywood, New York, Plaza of the Stars, Shrek, Central Park and IFB.

* Something, similar to a scarezone, is happening in Lucy.

The font of the website can be seen in HBOs Boardwalk Empire.

Auditions include asking for individuals who can speak Spanish.

* IFB seems to be a stilt-heavy zone.

What we can deduce

* IFB = International Food Building, which is the restaurant between Animal Actors and Simpsons.

Gambling/Games is/are the predominate theme this year.

The time period and location of the icon is the Big-Band (1920s-30s) and probably NOT Vegas.

We are having some sort of Casino/Gambling house this year.

* A 9th house is NOT happening this year. There has been no casting for a 9th house, no physical clues to a 9th house, no leaks of a 9th house. (It has been announced, but we can deduce it).

We are getting something that is heavily influenced by Spanish culture or history.

What we know isnt happening

We arent getting a literature-based event this year.

* Cindy as an icon this year.

Major Rumors and Spec (Not confirmed)

* We may see the return of a The Thing house, to coincide with the Universal Pictures release of the prequel.

Death will play a major part this year (stems from a perceived clue from Catacombs last year).

RIP, VIP and Unmasking the Horror tours will return this year.

* There will be a WWI house in in the Soundstages.

* Official Clues From a Mutual Friend

In heaven, the three with whom I would talk? Eoin Colfer, Steve Jobs and Peter Falk. The accepted interpretation of the riddle is that, All die in the end, or, All meet the same fate. There can be more to it, but that has yet to be confirmed.

* Character Code-Name Spec All character code-names can be found at HHNRumors

* General Spec says that Sprung 2 is our Casino house, although that is not confirmed or a consensus.

General Thoughts and Spec

Not all of the characters we know from the past were actually Icons, which means people (Monsters? Spirits? Zombies?) may come back.

The Queen of Spades has a dagger and red hair… take that for what its worth.

The Ace of Spades is known as the Death Card.

* Everyones Fate is Death.

Not all the houses and scarezones have to tie in with the theme.

It takes two cards to hit 21.

That I'm sure comes from the fact that the name "Horizons extraction facility" is being painted on the house.

You forgot the WWI house in the soundstages.

Also I feel this might be worth sharing:

I wonder how many people at Auditions picked up on the fact the sheet with work conditions list "must be able to work in extream heat or cold."

I thought it said that every year?

Thanks. I knew I forgot one.

And I'm fairly certain that's just a standard line that they use every year.

I heard that was "Arrested Dead"

What if instead of "Arrested Dead", aristo dead meant dead aristocrat? Wouldn't that fit in the gambling theme?

"In the United States and other nations without a history of a hereditary military caste, aristocracy has taken on a more stylized, as opposed to literal, meaning, referring as it does to the ruling class in general, and especially old money." - Wikipedia

By old money, they are referring to someone/a family who has maintained a large amount of wealth over familial generations. I don't know, but it could be that this Aristo Dead character was someone who bet everything, all he/she had. Just seemed fitting to me.

As the source from which I first saw Arrested Dead has now switched it to Aristo Dead, I think you're right. We're gonna have some dead folks puttin' on the Ritz.

"It takes two cards to hit 21"

I don't know why but that really struck me. It would make alot of sense if they icon we get was some kind of duo; twins, lovers, master and servant, best friends, relatives, etc. Something along those lines. Queen and Joker? Fate and Luck?

I just got twenty times more excited. Even if it doesn't happen (it is just speculation after all) it's still a great concept!

But it takes 3 to bust doesn't it? 0.0

In all matters though, I am really excited about that statement too. I am not sure if Uni has done a multiple icon year (besides, of course Homecoming, Sweet Sixteen and 20 Years of Fear, but those were reunion-type years). It will be interesting to see how Uni could deal with this, and how it compares/contrasts to the Raven Twins concept of HoS.
