Kenny
After all the build up that was put into fear does anyone think he will be returning and actually scaring people? Also what about a saw house? it fits the theme with luck and chance and all.

I admit, It would be nice to see him get a good scare, but I would prefer something new... I like the twin/equal but opposite concept though for the Icon(s)
Legacy
"It takes two cards to hit 21" I don't know why but that really struck me. It would make alot of sense if they icon we get was some kind of duo; twins, lovers, master and servant, best friends, relatives, etc. Something along those lines. Queen and Joker? Fate and Luck? I just got twenty times more excited. Even if it doesn't happen (it is just speculation after all) it's still a great concept! I've been making this point for a month... And what's another name for Luck? But it takes 3 to bust doesn't it? 0.0 In all matters though, I am really excited about that statement too. I am not sure if Uni has done a multiple icon year (besides, of course Homecoming, Sweet Sixteen and 20 Years of Fear, but those were reunion-type years). It will be interesting to see how Uni could deal with this, and how it compares/contrasts to the Raven Twins concept of HoS. It's all in the cards. Our unfortunate winner didn't bust, he hit the key number (21) in both the game and the event. There aren't three cards. Nothing in the clues points to three. The game of Chance let him "win," but he still couldn't escape his Fate."

Hush
I've only had the chance to read up a bit on this year's theme and thus far, I'm not too sure what to make of it all. I would venture to guess that as many others have stated, the concepts of fate, chance and luck will play roles in some way, shape or form. The "casino" oriented idea/theme is actually a fairly good one, once you are inside a casino you lose all concept of time and where you are at...if they play off that type of ambiance, it could prove to be very interesting! I have to say that after 20 years of attendance, they've got to really pull out all the stops to make this year a memorable one for me.
Pumpkin
If we are actually getting a house for The Thing prequel, does anyone have an educated guess as to whether or not it will return to Sprung Tent #1? I know it's a little hard to tell because only a few code names have leaked for that location, but I was wondering if Universal would follow suite by placing it in a sound stage, like the other theatrical promotions, or if they'll decide to keep the staging similar to Assimilation, thus returning it to a tent. With the talk of a possible WWI house and a hospital also in the sound stages, I've just been thinking about where everything would potentially fit. MartyMcFly
Just thought I'd throw this into the gauntlet: someone in my audition group earlier today was asked if they would mind being gagged. I should add that she was an attractive woman and that based on her body type, she will likely be scantily clad.

dante
If we look at death through some cultures...Reincarnation plays a role in some religions....they believe that the person dosent trully die but that thier spirit waits to transfer to a new body....perhaps this plays into the Rune room because many of the ancient civilizations that used runes as thier alphabet believed in mutliple gods and reincarnation..so thier fate is to continue living until thier mission in life is acomplished and they are then removed from the wheel of reincarnation and pass on to the netherworld...so maybe they will uses this concept to work with fate and death Edited July 13, 2011 by dante

If the "third card" mattered, it would be front and center with the rest of the dealt hand. That third card belongs to another player or the nonexistent dealer. The actual hand only has two cards. Cody
The face down card is most likely the dealer's, which suggests that either the man was killed/dismembered for getting 21 in his opening hand (thus ensuring that the House automatically lost that round) or he was "removed" and had his hand left on the table as a warning for any other players around. The card is only face down before every player has decided their choice.
Legacy
You're right, Cody. All Player hands are dealt face-up. The only face-down card on the table, belongs to the Dealer (who isn't an icon). I also want to throw out that I really don't think Sprung 2 is our casino...
Keosilver
Oh, I just had another thought. If the icons this year are indeed based off the two cards dealt they have to be victims. They were most likely dealt something good that someone didn't like "The house" and that led to their demise. A pair of concrete boots perhaps? But the reason why I believe this is because they were dealt not to the dealer, but to a victim who lost his hand. HA I just got the joke, in black jack, what you are dealt is called your hand. You loose your hand when you bust or beaten, this person literally lost their hand lol.

LuBell92
the opening scene to the first ten, looks like it takes place in the 20.....it was an old scene, and all that was in the room was bricks (grey) and a curtain...the curtain seemed like it was from the 20s...it looked the the casino. also, the second tent seemed almost exactly like the 1st tent... dont ask how we know. what could this mean, could they connect both tents into one house? Lizz
I am surprised the website has not updated yet. My anticipation has really gone down waiting this long I completely agree with you. I think consistent small updates keep the public interested and on edge... Universal is completely failing at that aspect of HHN. We've had at least a week of rehashing the same ideas on the forum because there's nothing new to work with. It becomes frustrating instead of exciting. Mr. Cleaver
I am surprised the website has not updated yet. My anticipation has really gone down waiting this long Looking over Nick's update checker, the longest we've gone with out an update is about 24 days; but that was the transition from archives to new site. It looks like that usualy between June 22 and July 16 we've been given some sort of update. After that, it's usualy less than two weeks in between updates. I want to say 'be patient,' but they're letting the site get stale. We can only hope that Uni hasn't changed their method, leaving us with a teaser until August. We've got our late June update, so the clock's ticking if they want to keep somewhat on track. 2010 updates 2009 updates 2007 updates Cheers. I doubt that they would make both tents into one house They most certainly will not; A&D has stated that every time they increase the house count, they're committed to maintaining that number to avoid disappointing guests in later years. That sounds exactly like the opening to Catacombs. Grey bricks and a curtain does not a casino (or a catacomb) make.

Cody
Does anyone think that the ENTIRE event will be based in the past, or just the main part of it? If it is based in the past, only part of it; restricting their ideas to one land or time period makes it harder to think of house and scarezone ideas. The best years are the ones where A&D can do whatever themes they want.
Mango
I dont know if this has been mentioned before, but is it possible that in the Hollywood SZ every color represents one of the seven deadly sins? Only issue is that we only know 6 colors.... blue-sloth green-envy purple-pride pink-lust red-wrath gold-greed ...so what about gluttony? Again, just an idea, in fact it was an idea that some of the people in that particular scare zone came up with...
