You know, maybe it was just me, but I didn't enjoy the saws and steam scarezone last year. Maybe I caught it in an off moment but all I got when I saw it was a victim strung up on a platform of some kind and some guy annoncing something that I couldn't hear over the screaming around me. That was it. No other scares, no nothing. So you can imagine my surprise when I heard they might be a house based on it this year. Like I said, I probably caught it at a bad time, but still....this fact is making it difficult for me to picture a house based off of it :/

All the superhero movies too1 and as for casey anthony.....yeah too soon. besdies, dont give that bitch any more attntion. lol and yeah....harry potter needs to make an appearence (maybe even something to do with that awkward voldermort huG!!!)

I'm really pulling for that Holidays house. I think it could be really interesting. They did so much with scary tales, after all (another semingly innocnet/ child like idea) that I can only imagine the cool stuff they could pull off with this kind of house. I'm not sure how I would feel about Santa chasing me with a jagged edged candy cane. It kinda scares the crap out of me...and I love it.

So the Thing house is officially...not as excited as I thought I'd be but not distraght either. It should be fun at the very least. And it's a prequel house, which means it won't be exactly like 07. I'm just...idk...not thrilled

I agree. I can see if we do get to have a Thing house (which I am all for) I can't see it in the Jaws house. I can picture it in the soundstages or something like that. I just cant see them putting something like that over there. However, that Horizon Extraction Company does sound like something that would be in the Thing house.....but I still have to wonder :/ if not the thing house in Jaws, than what?

Personally, while I prefer when everything ties together....ex. Bloody Mary how all the houses, while seemingly random at first, eventually tied in beautifully to the wonderful plot. I dont MIND if they dont. Last year I still had just as much fun as I would have if all the houses had been directly linked to Fear. But the event just seems neater and much more thought out when everything strings along so nicely. That being said though, isn't it only the big fans who sit back and truly bask in a well themed year?

Yeah, it all seems completely possibly. Normally, I dont believe people when they come up to me claiming to know the theme, but this all seems to make sense. I didn't get a discription of what Lady Luck looked like though....I'm wondering if maybe she'll be similar to Chance like we've all been saying? I'm curious to know. Also, regarding the thing house, I'm not against the idea. I didn't get to go to the event back in 07 so the idea of getting to walk through it will be thrilling. Though I doubt they'll have a house exactly like the last one.....Im sure it;ll be amped up and amazing

twistedhhn, I'm in the same boat as you. My friend reported to me last night the icon was going to be lady luck. He also mentioned a victim strung up on a roulette wheel. Maybe it's just speculation? Maybe it's the truth? I guess we'll find out I wouldnt mind a bit if it was true....I think it's about time we got a strong leading lady again!

L8nite, I think you may be onto something with your sin city idea. Just because we have a gambling theme, doesn't mean it's going to be Las Vegas. And now that HOS has announced that it's going to have it's own Las Vegas themed house this year, I wonder if HHn is going to go in a different direction The incorperation of the 7 deadly sins-a place full of sex, booze, gambling...kind of like pleasure island gone terribly terribly wrong, if you will.

I like the idea of having the 7 deadly sins incoorperated into the event somehow. Have they ever done that before? I can't recall. And yeah, the concept of having multiple icons is really interesting. Does anyone really think Chance is going to play some part in all of this? I can totally see how she'd fit in (maybe Chance in her pre-Jack days. Wasn't Jack orignally from the 20's era anyway? Or am I mistaken?) "It takes two cards to hit 21" I don't know why but that really struck me. It would make alot of sense if they icon we get was some kind of duo; twins, lovers, master and servant, best friends, relatives, etc. Something along those lines. Queen and Joker? Fate and Luck? I just got twenty times more excited. Even if it doesn't happen (it is just speculation after all) it's still a great concept!

Out of all the code names thus far, the one that has stuck out the most for me has been "doctor frankenstein clone". What do you all suppose that means? Also, I think a hall of dead presidents would be AMAZING. I always look forward to the cheese house so I think that would be a hell of alot better than the disappointment that was Zombiegeddon (no disrespect to anyone who liked/participated in that house.) Also, when I read all the different colors, I couldn't help but think of Mardi Gras. Yes, I'm well aware that we had that last year but it just came to mind is all. either way, this year is looking to be pretty interesting

When I think of the event being centered around this single haunted casino, it makes me think back to 09 with the Universal Palace Theater. Everything that happened that year happened because of the UPT but we still had the Usher, who served as the theater's right hand, so to speak. Maybe we'll have something like that this year. Maybe we'll get a dealer or something along those lines whose fufilling his/her duties to the casino. Maybe it's contorlling them?

I think having this whole casino/1920's sort of vegas theme could be interesting, though I am curious as to how they'll incorperate it throughout the entire park. As far as an icon goes, I think the most obvious guesses at this point would be some sort of evil Blackjack dealer......Lady Luck(which is far fetched but Im still hopeful lol)...or maybe even the House itself. The House I feel could be personified as a group of people. Either way, we have an interesting couple of months ahead of us. The whole thing seems to be tempting fate; putting your fate into someone else's hands. I wonder where this will lead. And yes, I think the whole "the house always wins" kind of motto could turn into our tagline. All in all a pretty interesting site. I look forward to see what we have coming next. Hopefully Universal has heard our cries for websites ala 2008. Ps- IN regards to some kind of zombie apocolypse I dont think that'll happen. Not only has HOS annoucned they'll be doing some kind of zombie icon/theme of sorts, I can't see HHN building their entire event around something. (at least I hope not. I find zombies to be terribly dull if not done perfectly)

well well well a website update! Exciting isnt it ghoulies? Gotta say I love the music on the site now; very twenties esque. So......now we await to see who our big icon will be.......an evil blackjack dealer, it looks like. Or maybe lady luck herself? Or maybe...just maybe....we'll be running from the house itself. Who knooows?

Keosilver, as cool of an idea as Fate is, I can't see us not having an icon in the foreseeable future. The public has become too dependant on the idea of having a "face" for the event. And while many of them have no idea WHO that icon is or what their backstory is, it's a recognizable part of the event that people can come to know and, ultimately, fear. And on a more personal note, I'd be so disappointed if we didn't get an icon. :/ It adds a more personal touch to the event for me. I like having a face to tack on to the ensuing nightmares.

Yeah Ill definitely be stopping in to check it out. I too thought it was just a cigar place, but these flamming dr. pepper's sound too good to pass up!

By the way Legacy, that commerical idea is genious!!!!! I pictured it perfectly in my head and it gave me goosebumps all over!! Definitely better than the tv spot Universal churned out last year xD
