HHN XX Tickets, Pricing, & Dates

Just noticed this too, why does the FFP link say it get's you in EVERY Wednesday, Sunday and most Thursday nights? The Thursday and Wednesday are flipped. It get's you in every Thursday and most Wednesdays.

They say EVERY Wednesday because they will let you in EVERY Wednesday that the event is open, not every Wednesday of the month of October. That is the same for the Thursdays that the event is open, for I think the word "most" is just a typo and should not be there.

My memory is not the best, but AP prices usually end up cheaper than the Stay and Scream, correct? I think I am going to get the FFP this year but will probably end up going on at least one off night, if not more, so trying to get an idea of the total cost and whether the posted prices are about right for the nights I'm looking at or if it might be a little cheaper.

FFP is the best way to go, also its more than likely they will make some off-peak nights available to FFP holders, as this happens often.

I agree. FFP is the best ticket to get. I have purchased the FFP for the last 5 years and it is definitly worth it. Even though it's only good for off peak nights it's still better because usually the crowds are less and not to mention you can go anytime you want sunday-thursday...

I'd definitely planning on the FFP. But I may end up going a couple of the non-FFP nights as that's when friends will be in town. I'm just trying to get an idea of how much those nights might end up costing.

One could be the first weekend in October however. Didn't that end up as a FFP weekend last year, or at least Friday night? I know I can't count on it, but if it's been a pattern in the past to add it, that could be one weekend where I don't need to buy an extra ticket (which would be nice)

Well I guess it's safe to say that I'll be booking my hotel + flight first, and then purchasing a FFP (if even for use on 2 or 3 days) later on since it isn't available on the site yet. Or I can just wait until Friday before booking anything.

Hope they have the UTH tour again this year..

Halloween night was quite slow last year. Longest wait during the busiest portion of the evening was only 25-30 minutes.

Everything was also discounted including the alcohol. Souvenir shots were going for $5 with $4 refills.

It stands to reason they would offer Halloween night on the FFP. They just want to get people into the event and it sounds like they have a difficult time during that evening.

Last year was the first year we missed attending the event when it was open on Halloween night...sounds like we missed some good deals on booze! LOL ;) With Halloween falling on a Sunday night and most people having school/work the next day, I bet we will see slower night....at least that's what I'm hoping for.

Halloween night at HHN is always a good time, the only thing that comes close is spending Halloween night in Key West... ;)

I know that the FFP with the AP discount last year was like, $58.72 or something like that.

I'll definitely be getting a FFP again this year, like I have the last 3 years. Such a good deal, and I can really get my money's worth on it (Last year, thanks to my FFP, I went to HHN 10 times, for roughly the price of 2 one- night passes).

Does anyone know if Ticketmaster and its connected stores (i.e. fye, Spencer Gifts) will be selling tickets to HHN again this year?

Quick question, for those of you who've been, are the lines ever that long on the first one or two weekends of HHN? Every time I've been it's been in the middle of October, so Express Passes were a necessity to do everything in one night. I'm hoping that's not the case for late September/early October this year, although with WWOHP opening up soon the crowds might be a little bigger around that time.

Can anyone tell me what stay and scream is? Like do you stay at the park and then they hold you off in a reserved area for 1/2 hour? And if so...can I use my annual pass for the General Admission then and use a stay and scream?

You can read this THREAD, they are discussing Stay & Scream.

The first weekend, "opening weekend," is not that busy. Actually, express is not a necessity on any night of HHN, I can always do everything in one night if I really want to (and usually do). For the next weekend, I'm not sure because I only go on FFP nights, but I know that Thurs/Sun would not be as busy as later in the event. Basically, the earlier you go, the less busier it will be.

1) I think they will add the final Friday/Saturday again. That's just my prediction.

2) Halloween was the last night of HHN last year as well, soooo I don't quite understand what you're getting at.

What hush said is what i meant about being on sunday and people having to work the next day, that's what i was wondering but also Sunday being the day that people can get the discount with the Coca Cola can, I wonder if this would also affect the attendance, Probably not, but is a discount night nonetheless

100% agree. I have never purchased an express pass before and 9 times out of 10 I still see everything in one night. All the houses, scarezones, and the B%T show. FairyCorpse is right, I've gone opening week since 2002 and as long as you get there early you will see everything. And for the rest of the days getting a FFP is the way to go. I have bought a FFP for the last 5 years and I couldn't fathom going to HHN without one. Last year the longest I had to wait for a house was SAW and it was only 35 minutes on a non peak night.

Last year, we got to Florida on Fri Oct 2nd...but our flight landed sooooo late from delays we didn't go to the park that night. We went Sat night and it was DEAD...we got everything done within an hour (we also did the Stay and Scream so got a little head start) and even went on all the rides that night. Did a couple houses as many as 3 times.

The next day was Sunday and we thought it would be dead. We went out for dinner and watched some football and got to the park a little bit after it opened and it was PACKED. Took us forever to get in and lines near the gates at Wolfman were like 45min and Saw was already 90min. It was pretty crazy and unexpected.

Each year there seems to be a "surprise" like that where it's DEAD on a weekend night and then a Thur or Sun is packed.

I agree that has been my experience as well. However ticket pricing gives a pretty good hint at what to expect. I would guess that Saturday, the 2nd this year probably won't be that busy either. Why? Like last year, the entire weekend before and the Sunday following are FFP days. It's unlikely FFP holders will pay for that particular night and for others who plan to go that weekend, most will opt for Friday due to cheaper prices. Later in the run, all bets are off...

If you have a FFP for IOA, do "they" bring you over on the pathway where Field of Screams was, or what?

If your talking about a Frequent Fear Pass for Islands, then sorry but there is no such thing. I think you are asking about the ticket that gets you into IOA about 3 hours prior to the event for $15.00. I think its called Scream Early or something like that. When I got that ticket in 2008, we got to IOA at around 4, did every ride and walked out the main exit for IOA and walked into HHN through the main entrance. They tell you you can go to HHN through a backstage entrance but idk I never did that.

"Add Halloween Horror Nights to your regular daytime park ticket!

Daytime guests to Universal Studios® Florida and Universals Islands of Adventure® can save on admission to Halloween Horror Nights® with a Stay & Scream upgrade."

From what Oysterhead said, it sounded like you can go to USO during the day and stay in a holding area and then go to a couple houses in that area, whether it's NY or Kidzone. (which all of that is true) But when the website said USO or IOA for Stay & Scream that made me think the same about USO, they'd escort us over and hold us in NY.

But now I understand. (Scream Early wasn't what I was thinking of though.)
