I agree with Liz that they know what they're feeling and looking for when checking your bag. And with the metal detectors, I think you guys just don't pay enough attention. Every time I've gone through and the metal detector goes off, they check the area that the detector goes off in. They might seem like they don't care about it because the detector probably went off at your feet when you were wearing flip flops or something silly like that, they can probably see it's apart of the design.
In 2004 or 2005, I remember CityWalk's security had me leave my belt in the car because it could be used as a weapon. I had one of those studded belts, and my pants were falling down the whole night. It really sucks. Now I just keep my shirt pulled down when going past security, and just show them the belt buckle when it goes off in the detector. Heh.
I have seen a lot of fights, I usually just try to stay away though because I'm usually a lot smaller and weaker then those in the fight. I have seen people get arrested and I always smell a crap load of pot.
