  1. You're right, I think that's what I meant in my head, but mixed up Dementors with Deatheaters.
  2. Bigfoots run either 2.5 or 3 feet. Just depends on specifics for the role. With a 6' height minimum, you'll most likely see 9' and taller. I personally have no clue what's happening, but when hearing a current park IP will be used, along with bigfoots...I thought Deatheaters. I'd assume they're using the stilts to carry additional weight, which could mean stilt walkers puppeteering large puppets. Again, this is entirely personal speculation.
  3. Just to clarify, for those who are asking. "Hybrid" stilts are simply drywall stilts. These are the stilts used for all seasonal events. "Bigfoot" stilts are used in Superstar and at Transformers. This will be the first time Bigfoot stilts will be used, by Universal, for a seasonal event. Bigfoots are used primarily by local entertainment companies and are designed specifically for performing. They are more mobile and extremely sturdy, allowing them to carry more weight.
  4. This was the case when it was only housing Mardi Gras floats.
  5. Funny, I am in this picture. I just forgot to smile, if only I knew.
  6. Truthfully I'm not to sure what they will do with the parade. If they suspend it, it puts a lot of people out of work for the time being. I've also heard talks of no Macy's parade. With the superstar parade, it could save UNI a lot of money in shipping costumes, floats, balloons etc... Regardless, they have a plan for HHN and I'm sure it'll be a good year.
  7. So this isn't so much wishful thinking, but...thinking about the new Superstar Parade. I wonder if it will cause any issues for HHN. I'd imagine the route of the parade will be similar to most others, meaning having streets cluttered with props for SZ's could hinder the parades performance. So hmmm...
  8. You were quick to respond to me. I'm glad you do enjoy the zone. Also, the wheel chairs are difficult to see, but we've become more aware of them.
  9. To touch on this quickly. The "Canyon" isn't the entire zone. The zone is extended out on both sides, more so towards GE. Now, the zone was intended to be larger, but due to the near by concessions between GE and Canyon, this was unable to happen. The zone makes due with what its got.
  10. You must have been walking through at the one wrong time. There has only been one stilt that has fallen so far. Some get really low to the ground, and people often think they have fallen when they have not. Hopefully you come back and get another go!
  11. This voice is a well known actor from Universal, and the voice is just how he talks in person. I believe this to be simply a coincidence.
  12. It only takes one night. Construction will pick up after RTU. After saturday night, HHN will be in full swing.
  13. There will be ground roles in this zone.
  14. It's not entirely known yet. Most of the times are different for each.
  15. I can only hope this beautiful lady brings me good luck during this years event. That being said, let me say something about the pictures before we hopefully end discussion on that, otherwise, it needs a new thread. Scareactors in the streets are actually told to either NOT take pictures, or at least keep them to a minimal. Often times when things are discussed after sets, a remark might be, "blah blah blah, your wasting too much time taking pictures." We understand everyone wants a picture, but this is how we see it. 1.) Someone walks by and just flashes a picture in our face...Ouch, great now I cant see for a few minutes. There have been occasions where i've walked off set because I didn't feel safe, as I couldn't see. 2.) Im standing there taking a picture with you and you want more. More poses, switch person in the pictures, etc... As this is happening, 50 people who paid a lot of money to come to the even to be scared are walking by watching me spend time with you. What happens now? People line up for pictures and once you walk away, 5 other people are demanding pictures. I did it for you, so I guess I have to now for them. 3.) I don't, nor do most, mind posing for a quick pictures. Be ready! When I pose for a picture, I'll do maybe a 5 second count. Your having camera issues? Im sorry, im moving on to scare someone. Have your camera on or whatever you need to do. Personally I hate when someone asks for a pictures. Not only when they ask, but they follow you asking repeatedly. If a scareactor stops and says yes, they're probably breaking character in some way. So like I said, if your ready...pose and snap the pic!
  16. Fun thought, but this isn't the case. We already know what all the houses are and S&S is the only SZ to become a house.
  17. We discussed this a little in the B&T speculation thread while talking about the possible location of the new show. With the street zone being extended down that part of NY, it means most likely queue lines will be entering and exiting in new locations.
  18. don't forget about the main stage in front of Rockit. Though I know this is generally used for a queue line, you never know. I believe it was in 2008 they used a SS to host lines for 2 houses. I cannot say which SS, as I don't remember. I'm also not suggesting they will do this. Though I would like to point out the tower they have bult down in NY where the queue line would normally be. Same location for houses such as Body Collectors and Frankenstein. With this, might we want to assume queue line layouts will be changing?
  19. New tweet released from UORHHN "A sick, sick sound? Or a sweet one? Either way, it leads to a memento for you…" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXo_iPRVm0A
  20. Oh good ol' Youngstown, my home town. They love using Carey, Ohio. Maybe the TV station is based out of the area. How fun would that be.
  21. You are required to perform a minute monologue. Can be anything from just a minute of facial expressions and movements, your own created monologue and/or something from a movie. Head shots and a resume are highly recommend for an actor audition, but they aren't required. This is similar to most auditions, though they pull fewer people at a time and send you in to audition 1 at a time. It's quick and painless. Good luck
  22. Ive been to these auditions there before. Anyone can go, as long as you have a monologue prepared. Since they are auditioning for shows that involve singing, dancing, and straight diolague...it's absolutely preferred to have people with experience audition. This doesn't mean that anyone should hesitate to go. I highly recommend giving these auditions a shot.
  23. This just makes no sense. If your looking for attention, please do it elsewhere. HHN is an amazing event which is fun to both work and attend. To say you've lost interest due to not being cast, well, it's a little selfish.
  24. Boy, if only we had the answer to this! Everyone would know whether to expect a role or not. Just go in confidently and be energetic. Stand out in your own way. Since no one has any idea what body types they are looking for, its just the luck of the draw. From the sounds of last week, one maybe three people out of each group were being cast. Tomorrow will be quite the same, if not even more selective with fewer people getting cast. I may be mistaken, but they closed auditions last year after the third week. The event was around 75%+ cast after reunion auditions. Just be relaxed, be yourself, and have fun...
