The lanyard has Halloween Horror Nights 21 The House Always Wins so it's looking like that's the title of thus years event.

1 page back.

There's a difference between a tagline and a title.

Halloween Horror Nights 15: Tales of Terror - Title

No One will live happily ever after - Tagline

This year has no "Title" just the 21 in the spade.

maybe i am the only one but seeing the pics and the videos of forsaken and acid rain, im starting to literally getting goosebumps, this looks like it might end up being one of the best years of HHN, the zones are looking amazing and the houses are looking amazing , which is rarely the case,

i mean, it might be too early to tell, but, all this new effects, amazing concepts, scary costumes,

i am really getting anxious and getting goosebumps about the event, plus, is in 7 Days, that makes me feel really nervous

Things are looking impressive this year and I think were in for a treat. It occured to me that when they said were entering a new era of fear they wernt referring to icons but to a new approach to how they tackle houses and scarezones. I think were actually starting to see that with 3D projections and new technology and techniques they are using this year. They are raising the bar for sure.

Totally agree. It's really looking like they pulled out the stops this year and there's not a single "lazy" house or SZ in the batch (that I can tell). Everything is looking really fantastic!!!! :D

I just had a couple questions about the event in general. :)

I've actually been following the website for a while and felt I should finally make an account. This is going to be my first year going, and has actually been my first year following it in depth which I have been since about April.

For the houses, how do they distribute people through them? Is it a continuous stream, or do they send groups in at a time? I know I've heard the term "Conga Lines" used when talking about going through houses. It seems to vary in videos that I've seen of previous years. Does it just depend on the type of house or even the year itself? It just seems like a continuous line of people walking through a house would make it less urgent or scary?

And for the scare zones, from looking at the map that was posted in (this? Or maybe another) thread, that they seem kind of small. Especially Canyon of Lost Souls. I haven't been to the park since April, so it's a bit harder to picture it in my head. But it looks like there would be a LOT of empty space, or non-themed areas. Is this a problem when actually going through the event, or is it just one of those that pops up on paper, but when attending it's not something you notice too much?

I'm trying to not put certain expectations in place for myself, because I really do want to go in and just enjoy the entire event. It's just small things I would kind of like cleared up.

The continuous stream of people normally happens when the event is crowded. Im sure universal tries their best not to send in alot of people at once because yes , the long lines do effect the scare in the house and a group of people always does catch up with the group in front of them which gets alittle annoying but trust me , youll be so immersed in the whole thing you wont even complain about you'll be just so happy your their. The event really is a blast ! You'll have the time of your life !

She has her own Facebook page as Lady Elisabeth Luck.

Really? I know I keep mentioning this but surely all the similarities between Lady Elisabeth Hawthorn and Lady Elisabeth Luck cannot be a coincidence can they? Development teams usually steer clear of such similarities to avoid confusion to guests. Could they be one and the same after all?

Just like there's a "Chance Schmidt" Facebook page?

I highly doubt Universal would give Luck a Facebook page, and then name it something different than what the HHN Official Facebook page just said Luck's real name is. It's most likely a fan-page, made by someone who assumes (just like almost everyone did) that Elizabeth Hawthorn is Lady Luck.

We know that isn't true, because Elizabeth Hawthorn is actually the scary looking ghost.

My friend called the "Fortuna" backstory the moment I mentioned that our icon was going to be some sort of "Lady Luck" type character (he's big on mythology). I hope we get a little more (and it sounds like we will), but I like the direction. It sounds like they're going to justify her existence and make her presence make far more sense, something that wasn't really done with FEAR.

Oh and that Facebook page is 99% a fan page as Legacy noted.

Heh...so if we're ever tempted to try our luck against fate, we just need to drink a coke zero and we'll be good to go. She'll slink dejectedly back into her casino.

I'll be sure to carry many Coke Zeroes with me, then.

And her being a Greek goddess in disguise is actually pretty great, it adds that much more ethos to the character. How much do we know about this year's icon? I remember knowing a lot more about Jack, Caretaker, etc around this time (unless I'm missing out on something).
