HHN XXI Speculation II

Recommended Posts

I don't see why they wouldn't go back to that time period. It's not like there going back to the Universal palace. Unless it's the Universal Palace Casino. I agree with Dante a few posts above me I would love to see another Leave it to Cleaver house. That house ended up being my favorite that year..... then again I always tend to like the comic houses.

I loved Leave it to Cleaver as well, but I just don't think that storyline has anywhere else to go. We all know the secret. Loved it, and hope for a similar house in the future, but I think the story is spent.

Usually the Fangoria based houses ie...Leave it to Cleaver, The Spawning in my opinion are/were for one time use. But hey who knows...

I agree with you 100% but we can always hope.

Or we can forget the house existed.

Joke houses are one-note and shouldn't be reused. Psychoscarepy wasn't always a joke house, which is where it's "exception" comes from.

Okay, I'm going to give a few things that I can say are VERY likely based on what I've heard. My source is well-trusted and has been correct many times in the past, so I have no reason to doubt him. He also doesn't tell me everything he knows, and I don't say everything I know.

* Expect a casino or gambling-based house.

* Do NOT expect an extreme house this year.

* Chance, Cindy, and Eddie will NOT be the icon this year.

* Do NOT expect Fate to be the icon.

The smirking queen of spades with the dagger is our show-girl of sorts, our temptation, Lady Luck. The ace of spades is our representation/manifestation of Death, or "The House." Two entities. Two icons. It takes two to hit 21.

That sounds spot on to me. I think a duo would really bring life to the event.

Sort of like the Grim Reaper and Death itself. One does the killing, the other takes the soul.

COOL NEWS!!!

Could it be that we have a brand new show this year. An original dance show, unlike Bill and Ted?

Heres why I say this.... On the Universal Audition Page, they are looking for athletic dancers for what they are calling a brand new high energy dance show at HHN. The only things is, they do not say anything about being able to look like pop stars and such?

I may be reading the description wrong, and if I am, then its my bad!!!!

Here is the link..... Here

Now this is news!

Traditionally, Bill and Ted Auditions are announced the same time as Scareactor auditions. The fact that there is no mention of pop-culture figures with the announcement of a new show, plus the fact that Brushwood isn't returning, and the previous writers of Bill and Ted being gone, it looks like this may be a MAJOR change on the entertainment front...

Thanks for finding this...

Now i wonder....is the show based on a popular musical or a completely original idea????

We would know if it was based on a known musical. They would be auditioning for singers and have a character list posted. "Dancers" for a "new show" implies an original show.

Now...will it have a horror tie in??? probably but who knows it may be a comedy

As crazy as it sounds regarding the auditions is it possible there is no Bill and Ted this year? If Bill and Ted auditions are traditionally announced with all of the rest of the auditions and there is no mention of any lookalikes being casted I can't help but come to that conclusion. I would hate for there to not be a Bill and Ted show. I hope I'm wrong.

You can also read the official press release sent to us from Universal.

Your Fate Awaits

Here is a picture of Fate, a un-used ICON created for Halloween Horror Nights XV (2005). This DOES NOT mean she will be this years ICON, bit the picture is here for reference and speculation.

fate-hnn.jpg

When I read thru the article I noticed something "ORLANDO, Fla. (June 28, 2011) — They say, “To wait for luck is the same as waiting for death.”

Are you waiting for Luck?" " Notice how they capitalize Luck. Hmm could our Icon be Luck? Or any variation of Luck.

I wonder, They would totally have to make a new show, I am not a huge fan of bill and ted but I like it and i go at least once, but, if no show, that show takes a lot of people, with no show, (plus that rumor i read about only 4 scarezones or something like that) the lines for houses would be just, crazy, no? i dont know

I hope so because B&T is one of my favorite parts of HHN. I always look forward to it.

Mine too. HHN without the Bill and Ted show would be like having HHN with no houses. B&T has been a major part of HHN for quite some time and I doubt that Uni is going to get rid of it anytime soon...

I don't recall EVER hearing how her house was "just the beginning." I DO recall hearing however that they decided to give her a house, for the fans who knew who she was. I was also under the impression that her house was a prequel. A member of the general public probably has no clue who Cindy is. It just doesn't make sense to have a "farewell year" when people interpret is as a "farewell, EXCEPT this one character." Idk, I'll admit I'm wrong if she has something to do with this, but I just don't see a connection at all between gambling and some demented orphan.

The Orfanage WAS the beginning of Cindy's story. It was a prequel: after burning down the orphanage, she was taken in by the Caine family.

That does not mean they're bringing Cindy back, and if A&D decided to go back on their plans and bring her back it would certainly not be to revamp her for a gambling/casino theme.

Though I do believe we might have a female icon nonetheless......

I'm a moron...

Okay... I was leaning towards Chance equaling Fate in someway, but I just realized that stupid Japanese proverb Universal keeps pushing, "To wait for luck blah blah death blah." This gives us four potential Icons.

Chance

Fate

Death

Luck (dumb Luck...)

The proverb can be read two ways; one Death and Luck are the same entity, which is the obvious reading. The second, and probably more contextually accurate reading, is that they are a pair that go together.

So, since Death is everyone's Fate: Death = Fate

And Chance and Luck are essentially the same thing: Chance = Luck

By deduction, Chance IS returning, only as Luck (or she's returning as herself to represent Luck).

And Fate is finally getting used, only this time as Death (or Death is appearing in Fate's stead).

Either way, that's how the pair is going to fall. The Death card and the Unlucky card together to form 21.

Hit me.

Agreed. But I hope it's half way better than last years. *gag

On a "speculation" note, (this should be for the LT thread I guess) but any ideas how LT might tie in with the theme? Or would LT just have a separate house or something?

I don't think LT will be returning in any fashion this year. The game never really got going last year, and I don't see how it would currently mesh with the theme thus far. I think LT is on hiatus.
