  1. That tweet that said "lots of hoops to jump through," kind of struck me, with the cryptic comment being "balloons."
  2. The closer it gets to the event, the more it slows down. I don't check at all once the event starts. I usually log back on in May or June.
  3. It's not even the fact of them announcing those first. I've recently heard that Penn and Teller is confirmed? I'm sorry, I've never heard of them. Pardon my lack of knowledge on has-been Vegas shows. Literally no clue how they are relevant, how they are scary, and how anyone will know who they are. Yeah, us on the forums know them, but we make up less than five percent of the audience at HHN. I'm so, so SO incredibly disappointed in Uni this year. Words cannot even describe. I'm contemplating even wasting my money on an event that seems to have been created for the sole purpose of "LOOKY HERE, WE'RE RELEVANT." When they NEVER needed to do that in the first place. At this rate we have room for three original houses. So not looking forward to it. I know people are going to say "Hey, calm down you never they may be really scary." When truth be told I could care less if they were actually scary. They have sacrificed artistic freedom for popularity which to me, as an artist, is terrible. Again, excuse me for being crude, but I hope something clicks this year to make them realize that originality will ALWAYS get them far. People's opinions of Alice Cooper, Penn and Teller, The Walking Dead, etc are GOING to influence whether people go to the event, whether they like it or not, and whether anyone agrees with it or not.
  4. I don't really know where else to post this because it's not really spec or wishful thinking, but I am so so so so upset that Uni Orlando is turning to relying on media inspired houses. When I first heard of Silent Hill I was excited because we usually have a house or two based off a movie. But now that more and more and more houses are being released and there is absolutely no original concept to them I'm severely disappointed. I came to HHN for the originality. If I wanted to see the Walking Dead, I would watch the Walking Dead on t.v. And I didn't because it never interested me. With originality, it was all new to EVERYONE, so no one could say "Well I didn't like the show so...." or "The movies suck!" And to top it all off, Uni has AMAZING ideas and shouldn't have to rely on these pop culture houses. That's all I have to say.
  5. No, HHN Hollywood attracts more guests because the population is like three times that of Orlando.
  6. I'm not upset because I think Penn and Teller isn't scary, I'm upset because I feel like they've kind of given up on originality and they're giving into advertising. But, to each his own I suppose. Sorry I'm a little behind, but are we expecting an Icon, or are we expecting someone with a lack of a personal storyline?
  7. What if the scarezone is like an extension, it could be fog world/other world, and then when you go in the house it begins to transition. You could enter the queue line for the house through the scarezone.
  8. How about we have one of those handy dandy recap posts? just of the confirmed stuff and the speculated stuff. Much obliged!
  9. I've always considered Sunday to be the first day of the week though.
  10. Bunnies aren't so cute like everybody supposes. They got those hoppy legs, and twitchy noses. What's with all the carrots? What do they need such good eyesight for anyways?

  11. I need some advice from serious photographers. I got a Nikon D3000 a few months ago, and I love it. It takes great pictures. I'm only going to be at HHN for one night, and I'm contemplating taking it with me to get some nice quality pictures for everyone, and myself. But I don't know if I should, any advice?
  12. Can someone post a pic of the current card house at it's fullest? I lose EVERY game EVERY time.
  13. And in French, there aren't that many different dialects, they all sound pretty much similar. I'm pretty sure it's all English. It's just hard to decipher when so many words are spoken at the same time.
  14. I don't think it's French, I speak French, and if these people are speaking French, it's very poor. The French "R" is very distinguishable, it's made in the back of the throat, almost like your choking, and I don't hear it at :13, I hear an English "R" (Sounds like he's saying "In the front." or something.). Or at around :18 I hear another English "R", like she's saying "I need homework."
  15. I was going to say something about Casey Anthony in relation to the event. But I ruled out that it was too soon. It will always be too soon.
  16. I was thinking about this "Spanish house." I recall someone talking about a nod to Catacombs, and wasn't there a bit of the plague during The Spanish Inquisition? It just hadn't reached the outstanding number just yet?
  17. They usually have an extra scarezone, that's not really on the map, right? I remember in '08 they had two that weren't on the map.
  18. I recall hearing somewhere that IFB can stand for "Invitation for bid." Maybe they haven't decided yet? Idk, maybe I'm just thinking about it too hard, but I can't think of what IFB means either.
  19. Another thing, I know I've said I don't see how Cindy would relate at all, but logistically thinking, it just wouldn't make sense. Chance is the same age she's always been, but Cindy is suddenly somehow old enough to be a showgirl in a casino? it just wouldn't make sense. Especially is the date this year is set before we first saw Cindy. It would just involve so much change to Cindy's character, and if they're going to put that much into it, just keep Cindy as is and just write a new character!
  20. Does anyone know if Rocky Horror will come back this year???
  21. I don't think we would get a video game house, sadly due to the connotations and stigma people have with video games. Unless that video game has already been a popular movie, such as Resident Evil or something. I'm not an avid gamer at all, I play the sims at best. But Bioshock is a FANTASTIC game, one of the few I've played. And as much as I love it, I don't think it would work just yet as a house. Although, last time I checked there was talk of taking the Bioshock franchise and making a movie. So maybe sometime in the future, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
