It should be noted the "sneak" pictures on facebook are stagged. The FB is run by an individual in Media relations.

Confirming this, a background check of Hal Geluk comes up with nothing. Fake sneak pictures are fake.

well they were able to capture it in the Phantom of the Opera room in Silver Screams. I mean, of course it wouldnt be 100%, but the way they light the room and the way they paint the room/design the costumes could make it possible for you to feel like you're at least looking at a Black&White scene.

I know they did it in Silver screams but pulling it off in one room would be much easier than a whole house in my opinion.

I LOVE "select color" stuff like Sin City and I have a collection of NYC posters with a yellow cab and the background all B&W and stuff like that...

A fake B&W WWI house with everything black and white EXCEPT the blood would be amazing. Black, White, and Red Blood....no other colors. Would love that!

It would be awesome if everything was done in black and white except the blood. It would make the blood pop so much more.

Fake sneak pictures are REAL. Fake sneak is fake.

But they can't be sneak pictures if they weren't sneaked. Therefore there just pictures...

Not that I'm complaining they're giving us back stage pictures. They put they'd give us more next week. Unless they're just giving us these to throw us off.

Managed to snap a shot before I felt the need to run… will go back for more later this week!

Hmmm. So, I think it's safe to assume there'll be more where this came from, but the "need to run" gets me thinking. Anyone else think Hal will meet a rather unfortunate and mysterious end before the big website update (presumably Sept. 1st)?

If you look at the Hal FB page, I find it interesting that he likes the book The Fall of the House of Usher, a book by Edgar Allan Poe. I think this is probably a hint, since it is very safe to assume that this page is going to used for viral marketing for HHN.

my thoughts exactly! There is a good chance it is a hint but you never know with Universal, you think they will do something and then they do the opposite. It could just be a red herring... <_<

So... you're implying that a "guest," imaginary as he may be," would somehow die at Universal, and then Universal would release a statement to the media stating that said "guest" had died at the park?

Doubtful. I wouldn't be surprised if "he" keeps posting throughout the run.

I don't think he was implying "that" but you never know what universal will do for media attention... :o

They would never release a statement saying an individual died, went missing, etc. It would be considered crass and heap massive amounts of negative publicity.

If Hal does, "go missing," he'll probably just stop posting. No farewell. No mystery. He'll just stop. Especially now that it's known he doesn't exist.

Also Red Badge of Courage, a book about being injured in war...albeit the US Civil War, not WWI. Also, his interests include "Nursing Life" and "history."

Since everything else seems to tie in with Universal parks or HHN...what's the deal with some of the obscure musicians? (Dick Haymes?)

They're signed with Universal music...

Just a random thought, DONT TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY, lol

But, what if the "Commercial" this year is based on this Hal guy?

Like, He sneaks into the casino late at night, a day before the grand opening, to grab a few pictures & what-not, and thats when our "Icon" or some sort of Monster, kills him or whatever.

Then *insert HHN 21 music here, with the guy who always speaks at the end of the hhn commercial*

lol.

Someone is on to something..... there very likely is no icon house.

And again... with this casino. We aren't getting one...

In the last few years especially, Universal has been awesome with the winks and nods to those of us who tend to dig deeper for info as opposed to the on-and-off HHN guest, so it would be great to have that little element to the final marketing that has those of us who obsess over info go 'Hey, it's that guy from that made up FB page' instead of 'Hmm,some guy died in a casino. Wonder what that means.' :D

That's a pretty big assumption, don't you think? Besides, why would they keep advertising a casino if we aren't getting one? The casino could be in any sort of fashion, may it be the event as a whole, a house, scare zone, etc. I'm curious to see your supporting information on why you think we are not getting a casino.

The only "casino" there would be would be the event as a whole, but it's definitely not a house. Besides... nothing on the website has explicitly said, "casino." It's all been gambling which doesn't necessarily have to take place in a casino. I can play black-jack on my wood, dining room table. I can buy a roulette wheel for home use as well. All we have right now are a set of doors, a pair of cards, and games of luck. Even the term, "House," applies to any establishment for any game; thus the term, "House Rules."

Sprung 2, though, is NOT a casino.

I've been thinking more of a speakeasy type place, but I suppose that isn't going to be in Sprung 2 either. So, I must ask you, why don't you think there will be casino or speakeasy type house or scarezone? Has someone you trust told you this or is it just complete speculation? I'd really like to see your reasoning behind it.

I agree with you and until Universal says so officially, I'm not going to believe anything otherwise...

Honestly, it's both.

I had speculated Sprung 2 wasn't a casino from the beginning. The roles don't fall in line with it. I honestly thought it was our pirate house. Everyone was assuming "Blackjack Dealer" was a giveaway, and it would be. Universal doesn't give roles that specifically though. In my mind, a casino was the one thing Sprung 2 couldn't be because that role was more specific than any other role from the last two/three years. As more houses were revealed, it became obvious that none of them were casinos as well. The only house it could have conceivably been was the "nurses" house, with multiple showgirls, but the Soundstage houses are known and it is none of them.

Now, I had heard back in May what Sprung 2 was but hadn't heard anything regarding it since this month. People are getting confirmation that there is a house that hasn't been announced, hinted at, or clued about that is NOT a casino. It matches up with what I had heard, matches with the roles, and matches up with Spec.

Now, regarding a "casino" or "speakeasy" scarezone, there is still the potential for that. However, logistically, it will probably be in the "Lucy" location and likely won't be called a "casino" or "speakeasy." Both of those things, by their very nature, are "inside," which matches all the visuals we have seen. The area will probably be more "gambling" themed than casino though.

And no... Hollywood will likely not be a casino, either.
