  1. That and through the friends of mine I know are going, though I'll most likely never hear the end of how much fun they had. Can't decide whether or not I hate them for it, lol.
  2. The event looks incredible, and now I'm even more depressed that I won't get to go this year. Ah well, at least the speculation and dreaming were fun while they lasted. Can't wait to hear reviews from you guys once you go.
  3. Just popped up: @HNFrights- "To abstain from sin when one can no longer sin is to be forsaken by sin, not to forsake it. - Saint Augustine" *evil grin*
  4. New tweet from @HNFrights: "In here no one will hear you scream... http://owl.li/6h5yf " Very odd, to say the least. Anyone have anything come to mind from this pic?
  5. Idk if anyone brought this up, but in the screen cap that was posted on FB, the big jade ring looks like there's a picture, or symbol inside it. Kinda darkish, and it may just be the lighting, but it almost looks like a heart with something piercing it. Anyone have software to blow that up and potentially get a closer look?
  6. Heh, my bad. About the chains, the only place I recall chains being are the pic of the 'silver' skeletons, but not much else off the top of my head.
  7. The curse idea makes me think of the Bracelet of Anubis from Mummy Returns.Could be that our Lady Luck stole the bracelet or cheated and won it in a game(a CARD game? ) then put it on and wasn't prepared for the consequences. Thanks, Dr. Jimmy, now you have my Speculation Machine turned on lol.
  8. So, this might be just me thinking this, but that she's been cast as a little older, shes gives me kind of a 'fortune teller' vibe, which would fit into our theme of luck, chance, fate, etc...I might be way off mark, but the BK ad definitely feels like 'gypsy fortune-teller.' The pic that Dr. Jimmy posted, though, has sort of a 'fallen starlet' feel to it, with the jewelry and the dress. Again, may be the only one thinking that but it was what struck me first. Also, Gambit, forgive my ignorance on this if it's not the actual title of the house and I missed it, but if Nevermore: The Madness of Poe was something you or one of us fellow posters came up with, that's pure awesome
  9. NICE. I think one of the main things that catches my attention is the silhouette of a woman in a dress near the archway. Possibly our dear Lady Hawthorn? Also, there's a stylized "R&R" on the doorway. Has me thinking.
  10. Hmm, agreed. Body, possibly wrapped in a sheet(?) laying with the head on the right-hand side maybe. Also, can't tell if in the background it's the other side of the furnace we see in front or another furnace. Definitely intriguing.
  11. In the last few years especially, Universal has been awesome with the winks and nods to those of us who tend to dig deeper for info as opposed to the on-and-off HHN guest, so it would be great to have that little element to the final marketing that has those of us who obsess over info go 'Hey, it's that guy from that made up FB page' instead of 'Hmm,some guy died in a casino. Wonder what that means.'
  12. OK, so this may be really reaching, but hhnFEARfan, among others, mentioned Luck, Fate and Chance and it had me thinking: Luck, Fate and Chance are all ways to look at the different mysteries of life, the sometimes-unexplained events, but what if we were to look at it as a progression, or digression? Luck usually refers to gambling, fun and games and oft events that have a positive outcome. Chance might be looked at as something that's either good or bad, i.e. a 'chance encounter' or 'the chance of a lifetime.' Fate, however seems very definite, and usually refers to something beyond one's control, i.e. 'your fate is sealed.' Just think it would be interesting to see the digression of our Icon, if we have one, as something that they've lost control over; that we as guests or victims were pawns of and something greater than our Big Bad took control. Like I said, probably reading WAY too much into it, but I liked the different aspects of the words.
  13. Hey guys. Brand new to the boards, but love getting in on all the HHN speculation. I think it was Freakazoid that said on the last page something about Norse mythology and the runes, and honestly one of my first thoughts was the raven on the bookshelf. In Norse mythology Odin had 2 ravens, Hugin and Munin who were essentially his messengers/pets and if we're kind of on the fence about the Poe house, might the raven have something to do with our house involving runes? Just a thought.
