So, one of the sweepstakes winner went through the Gargoyle's House preview, and wrote this: I'm so pumped right now!5 points

That's what I'm thinking... It's hysterical to me that everyone is getting their panties in a twist over a simple word being tweeted...if the guy would've tweeted #hotdog...would everyone think the house was about hotdogs or the name of it was such? Come on gang, in a few short hours the answers will be revealed....no need to freak out over word. And on that note...#smallclowncar4 points

So you're telling me that if they called it The Gothic you'd feel better? If you don't count The (which really tells you nothing about the house) then just from the last couple years you have The Forsaken, The Thing, Zombiegeddon, Saw, The Spawning, The Wolfman, Creatures, Doomsday, The Hallow, etc... I guess I'm not seeing your gripe here. Creatures doesn't tell me what the house is either, as pretty much every house has a creature of some sort. And Spawning? What's spawning? Same with Hallow (although for me it still does give some imagery), having never stepped in the house. Gothic is actually much more descriptive than those. If the word Gothic doesn't instantly start giving you imagery in your head, then I suggest you expand your horizons a bit.4 points

That person seemed really excited about the Gargoyle house, now so am I. Can't wait for tonight!3 points

Who gives a crap what they NAME it?? I just can't wait to SEE it.. regardless of the name. It could be named Bleach for Babies, and I'd still want to go.3 points
-
The voice confirms that there will be a sequel to the Saw House (our hidden IP)! LOL, j/k obviously, but I was seriously waiting for the voice to say "Do You Want to Play A Game?"...3 points

After this teaser, I would most accurately describe my interest as piqued. Well played, Uni. I'm hoping that all the construction has dug up the portal that transports all of our scare zone monsters into our world (including well manicured vampires). Now, as to who "he" is... 19 hours and counting3 points
-
Could this maybe be a sign that the Classic Universal Monsters are the Icons? Universal seems to be incorporating the construction into some sort of story line. Perhaps, the Classic Monsters have been buried and are now being dug up after being forgotten. Think about it, Dracula, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein, The Mummy; whatever have taken a back seat at HHN having been replaced by things like Jack the Clown, Fear and Lady Luck. These monsters are part of the Universal Horror legacy. It could also tie into the 100 years celebration as well. This "creature" isn't alone either. The hand looks a little too manicured to be a zombie. Maybe Dracula or Frankenstein.3 points

Tonight will be the night Universal reveals all to us about Halloween Horror Nights 22. Thanks to everyone for the months of speculation, but now it's time for it to come to an end. Stay tuned later tonight after the reveal for all the House and Scarezone topics! Speculation 2012 is now closed and locked!2 points

I'm just happy that now I'm finally starting to "geek out" for this years HHN. This took too long.2 points

So the commercial is Walking Dead. Not surprising. I'm much more interested in our mysterious phone stalker.2 points

In the walking dead, the zombies don't "rise from the grave" as they do not have supernatural powers to unearth themselves from a ton of dirt and concrete, plus you have to have been infected by being bitten and those who died without being bitten were not affected (did not become zombies). The hand is more than likely NOT a zombie hand unless they are deviating from TWD.2 points

actually... the cryptic statement for gargoyles being "waterspouts" has nothing to do with being sprayed by water (at least not directly). Its because gargoyles are part of the buildings rain gutters and the water pours out of their mouth as if they're vomiting.2 points
-
So there's not going to be a house based on a Teddy Bear that comes to life?2 points
-
Man, can't wait to watch this forum erupt in a few short hours! Grabbing my popcorn now! And already predicting that Gothic will be my favorite house. Short name and all. =)1 point
-
^^^ Be careful b/c ketchup and mustard are around every corner and you never know when a pickle might get you!!1 point
-
I think I may be the only person in the world that finds the idea of possessed teddy bears, living in a Gothic cathedral a truly great idea. Lol. As a matter of fact hmm.....1 point
-
I agree that Gothic is a horrible name, but when UOR retweets using a hashtag for Gothic, it's time to admit defeat. Our cathedral is called Gothic, and now we must cope with this boring/awful name. And although the GP might not automatically think cathedrawl or gargoyles from "Gothic," the house description that always comes with the full reveal will likely explain everything they need to know regarding that. Sad, but true.1 point
-
I actually like the name although I do agree with you that it does sound like a code name. But isn't this coming from someone who just went on an official tour of the house?1 point
-
I'll believe it when I see it on the website with a logo. If you ask me, "GOTHIC" sounds more like a "code name" rather than an actual house title. On top of that.... its an incredibly stupid title to name the house. If you want to go with a one word title, just call it "GARGOYLES".1 point
-
I like the idea of Darkness being the icon, but didn't Universal say that starting with HHN XX that it will be a new era and that they are moving on and won't be reusing past icons? Or was that just about the houses?1 point
-
If there was a Vincent Price look a like in this room, I'd be set!1 point
-
I know this is pretty obvious but its clear that marketing are focusing on SH, AC and TWD. They are the only house that are featured on the billboards (in Orlando) and I wouldnt be surprised if they were featured on the the commercial (or at least one of them). I think that both adverts will be the same in Hollywood and Orlando but, Orlando will have a backstory and I wouldnt be shocked now if we did see an icon.1 point
-
We would first have to determine who the classics were. Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman, The Mummy, Phantom, Hunchback, Dr. Jekyll, The Bride, The Creature? Which ones would be showcased? Would we get 6 or 8 Classics? And I'm going to end up really wanting this if I keep speculating about it.1 point
-
The voice could also be the voice of Darkness. I do feel that the Classics are very plausible. It would be very interesting if they are incorporated. I could see the "tribe" aspect that has been mentioned working well if each Classic had their own scarezone of minions.1 point

Ok, I'm willing to get my hopes up again over the possibility of an icon again since I can see what you guys are saying about the similarities of fear's reveal . . . is it me, or is that a bandage on the index finger of the hand emerging from the ground? a vampire probably wouldn't need one of those, but could still be something supernatural. A demon of some kind would be cool. It has been really fun talking about this stuff with everyone here, I'm glad I joined1 point

Don't expect the "games" to be the resurrection of LT. It might be a similar concept, but with a whole new story. As others have said, if this were going to be an LT-style game, we would have already started investigations.1 point
-
This is my issue with them bringing LT back: why haven't they done it sooner? Instead of driving us all insane trying to guess what's going on, why haven't they given us access to the world of LT once again, if it is, in fact, returning? I wasn't into the LT thing back in 2010...does anyone know around what time of the year they started the whole LT stuff back then? If it was late, like this would be if it were happening, then maybe it's possible. But I just have a feeling that there isn't a lot of time left for them to give proper set up for LT before the event actually starts.1 point

Its bells... a stone grinding sound... a breath.... a growl... then a deep voice says "You cannot escape centuries of evil"... more bells and grinding.... another growl sound... then a lady whispers "Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights... all will be revealed soon". Well that last part is a little garbled. I know it says "something Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights" and "all will be revealed soon".1 point
-
everytime i listen to it i can hear or make up some other word it could be saying....with the bell going off at the exact time its going to take someone with professional recording equipment to edit out the bell and clear it up for us1 point

You can't complain if you've never gone to an event before. Go. Have an open mind. Have fun. Expect the unexpected. Trust me, you'll have more fun this way. BTW, this is my 100th post! I'd like to take this time to thank everyone here at HNN who has made this milestone possible for me! Without you...while I probably wouldn't be much different But thanks for all the laughs and smiles these last 100 posts everyone!1 point

Pfft Lizz... you forgot that would require me to actually have that much motivation I hate these contests in general. Especially when you're expected to sit & stare at FB waiting with your email ready and your cursor hovering above "send" so you can be one of the first ____ people to email them. As I pointed out earlier with the clues, I think we're missing a few after 44 emails were sent out.1 point

I think you just described yourself, Chris. I kid, I kid. Back on topic... I really dislike when the team decides to hand out clues this way. It's fine to have people enter the contests, but release the clues yourself. Waiting around for someone to realize they received a clue is just too painful for little ol' impatient me!1 point

It's hard to believe that in less then 34 hours we'll have the full reveal and know everything. Then it's only 3 weeks till the official start! Edit: Whoops. Thank Dr Who for that little trip in time. LOL1 point

People...SS44 plot is an active and fast moving construction site for a huge E-ticket attraction...no way in hell it's being used for HHN.1 point

"it's not of this world..." and "it's time He comes home" E. T. Is totally our Icon!!!! Someone had to do it. True spec: Not of this world makes me think of Terra Cruentas, or Mary's Mirror world. Then with the capitalization of He, I feel we should know who He is. And now I'll I can think is it better not be that damn clown.1 point

And on Facebook they're tying it all the resort construction. SS44 really was a HHN stunt! (lol)1 point

Anyone else hope they just play the theme song on a loop in the house...1 point

That would not be a bad thing at all. She is the only person on the show I want to smack hard. Upside the head. With a baseball bat. Everyone else has their shit together, but Lori just seems to be caught up in so much angst about everything. Hey here's an idea, if you hadn't slept with that douche bag Shane and could possibly be pregnant with his kid you might not feel like such an insufferable pain in the ass. Rick's too good for her. **End of rant** Could we have a Shane prop that we get to beat the shit out of too? He annoyed me from the very first time I saw him on screen.1 point
