Wasnt it apart of a house in hhn XX? Maybe 13 houses if they thought of it as a house to?

Oooooooh you're right. I thought that was, like, a best of house, though? Fact check me it's been almost a decade and I was like 10 that year lol

Both R&M clues are Legacy’s. I just yoinked the second from IU where he posted it.

Frightanic was a great house, or should we call it houses?

Last year’s house number was easy to tick off using your hands. This year, you won’t be able to do that.

If I remember correctly frightanic was a dual run house. Would we be getting something similar?

Here are the IPs I expect to see:

Given:

Stranger Things

Likely:

The Haunting of Hill House

Killer Klowns From Outer Space

Probable:

Hellraiser

Happy Death Day 2U

Maybe:

Universal Monsters (I expect this more for 30)

Outside shots:

Child's Play

Any iteration of the Purge

Im going to assume that Child's Play is on the list because Universal doenst technically own that film but chucky could still have a possibility of popping up at some point just with a different name?

i believe Universal owns the "Chucky" branding while MGM or Warner Bros owns the "Child's Play" branding. Universal would just have to name the house "Chucky Does The Thing" and they'd be fine. Copyright laws are nutty AF.

Does anyone think Jigsaw or Final Destination are possible? What about Pet Sematary?

but you never actually see a ¨villain¨ in final destination. sure the villain in the movie is death, but you never see death. because of that, the maze would just be a torture porn maze with no scares whatsoever.

Jigsaw is a no-go, it flopped in the box office. And no one cares about it unless it appears in an overarching Saw House.

Final Destination I think is a piece that I think could show up at any time, as with most late 90's-Early 2000's movies. But the lack of a central villain like The Pig or Billy from Saw would make it kinda weird.

Pet Sematary is 100% possible as long as it's 100% specified that it is the FILM version not the book version, since Stepehen King is a stingy old manchild. Last time I checked the new film isn't owned by one of our lovely HHN Villains (WB, Disney, MGM kinda)

Indeed, it was a dual run.

Remind me what that means?

A dual run house is a house with one overarching theme that actually has two houses that fit that theme. Frightanic was labeled as 1 house by Universal, but was two houses (Fear in First Class and Carnage Crew).

Legacy has has given us two house clues. I’ve supplied hints.

I’ll add his hint from IU. It applies to both R&M clues.

Is it too late to get MY speculation in? I'd like to come back and see if I throw the dart anywhere near the bullseye..lol

Stranger Things 2 (duh..this alone probably made them expand the calendar)

Haunting of Hill House (be good to strike with this while the iron is hot)

Stephen King's IT (based on the first movie..Aiello was asked this at the Q&A and he neither confirmed nor denied it for HHN29. 2nd will be out around the time HHN starts & IT was used at WB studios last year, hence why they likely couldn't use it)

Blumhouse: either they bring over Unfriended/Truth or Dare combo OR Happy Death Day 2U & another Blumhouse franchise

The Thing (this needs a REAL movie house..and its a Uni property)

Nightmare On Elm Street (again, like Thing, based on the actual movie)

Hellraiser (never cared for the 1st film, but seems to be a fan favorite)

Re-Animator OR Return of the Living Dead OR Creepshow (I can only hope..fat chance on any of these..but let's see)

I didn't realize I didn't leave much room for originals...but I predict at least ONE come back from the classic years...NIghtingales? Catacombs? The rest will be originals.

Honestly I wouldn't enjoy getting Frightanic BACK as a dual run. Is A&D really about to make 2 more chapters to Frightanic or is that just the clue for another dual house concept? I'd love to see what else they can do with the dual house concept, it's really cool and a good way to keep the house count up without being too artificial.

Also, the idea of 6 IP's and 6 Originals makes me really, REALLY happy.

We’re not getting It. Plain and simple.

More accurately, Universal owns everything but the first movie. This is why everything Uni is doing will continue the storyline, while - I think MGM? - is being forced to change everything in that abortion of a reboot.

What about some oldies but goodies like My Bloody Valentine,The Strangers,Drag Me to Hell, or Cabin Fever?

I'd love for all of the films featured in Silver Screen to be made into full houses. I feel like My Bloody Valentine, The Strangers, Shaun of The Dead, and others are IP's that could pop up at any time.
