HHN Hollywood 2016 Speculation

Recommended Posts

John Murdy will be announcing a brand new attraction for USH at WonderCon, per "HorrorNightsUpdaters" on Twitter.

I'm willing to bet the rumored year round TWD attraction is not just a rumor.

Now my question is, will they claim this to be the seventh house, and open it with HHN, or will they do the smart thing and bill this as an EXTRA experience, claiming 8 houses? My money's on the first guess.

TWD Year Round sounds awesomeeee! Been asking for a new year round maze based on an IP for yeeeeears that would just start in the summer and reload every year before the fall. Seems like it'll cover all the seasons too, so I'm even more excited.  Can't wait!

Murdy does not seem like the superstitious type considered a good chunk of HHN could be considered super blasphemous, unless it is Exorcist and he is playing up the curse to hype it up. But I don't that's the kind of scared he meant. Personally of course.

Could it be that the ip that murdy says is an orginal take is really the purge 3?

Purge is pretty simple in concept and with a whole other movie with fresh material wouldn't real need a fresh take besides I'm going with my gut and saying this is Terror Tram again

So Maze #3 hints just dropped all coming from horror nights twitter and I'm gonna list them out.

I do think that Maze #3 is Alice in Wonderland (not alice cooper because krampus and 695775242841669632 )

I also think this is Alice in Wonderland because 697825032051949568 and 697463814279671808 and 697462272625549312 . That's why I think Alice is Wonderland is Maze #3.

My bad here it is.

Horror Nights: Today I will only give you a hint for the FIRST NAME of the person... it's the same name of a famous cartoon character...

Answer #1:

Question:

Any relation to a disney character?

Answer (Horror Nights) :

Why yes, this is in fact a disney cartoon character.

Answer #2:

Question:

Hand drawn, cgi, or animated puppet?

Answer (Horror Nights) :

Well technically 2 of those things.

Answer #3:

Question:

Is this a character from a horror film or show? And if so what year did the film/show air?

Answer (Horror Nights) :

No, I would not say this is a horror character or show.

Answer #4:

Question:

Is this animated character from recent years or older?

Answer (Horror Nights) :

Oh it's pretty old, but what is old to me compared to you?

Answer #5:

Question:

Male or female character.

Answer  (Horror Nights) :

Female

Also here are some other hints.

Question:

Am I correct in guessing that you will give us the hint to the second part of the name at a later date?

Answer (Horror Nights) :

Yes.

Horror Nights:

The treatment for maze #3, one of the hardest ones I've ever written, is now complete, coming in at a relatively spritely 75 pages.

Horror Nights:

I've been listening to the soundtrack over and over again. The score is going to play a key element in this maze as is the audio design.

Horror Nights:

This property is a different story. It violates almost every rule we have for what makes a great maze, it requires a different approach.

While even if the "Name" is Alice I doubt it's an Alice in Wonderland theme. For one all of the houses are said to be ip based. Idk too much about how things work but my understanding is if it's public domain it's not considered an IP or at least in haunt terms where Universal would have to pay to use the rights so it would be a "Original Maze" ala Orlando's Asylum in Wonderland or Malice from Knotts. Unless you count Disneys actual Alice InWonderland films which is unlikely for obvious reasons.

Second he said the code name would give it away so whoever the Disney character is her name is not in the tittle of the maze. I doubt he would code name the maze with the actual name. So that rules out even Alice Cooper.

Next, so since I'm assuming we are counting puppetry out this character has been animated as hand drawn and CGI which while Alice was in a highly CGI'ed film she was not portrayed in CG she was a live actress and we're looking at character and now a whole movie. Unless you want to count the video games by American McGee which I doubt while it is a horror take on Alice for someone like Murdy who does not play video games and has a stigma with them since the Silent Hill maze I would be surprised if Murdy even knows this exist.

Also a horror themed Alice in Wonderland is not new take at all especially in the haunt industry almost every major haunt has done it.

If I  were to guess with the character I would say either Sleeping Beauty or Snow White they both have been hand drawn with Disney  and CGI in Shrek films. And their names used as a code word would give away the maze it was hiding especially if it was something we have speculated

Snow White- Krampus

Sleeping Beauty- Freddy Vs Jason

im gonna go with either of those

I actually have a updated opinion as I researched I now think this maze is not alice cooper because  (also while researching I found out that a lot of actors have the same charater name as their normal name on cars 2) Murdy said that there is one maze with the letter "p" which I think is krampus because the chances of getting krampus this year is pretty high and the chances for getting alice in Wonderland or alice cooper in Wonderland this year is very low. However they could do a dark christmas maze to promote krampus (the film and the creature/myth ) and call it dark christmas and do a alice cooper maze but that's also unfortunately very low I wish we could have both this year but we probably won't.

Idk how though, I think I was the only person who tweeted him saying that this was an April fools joke, he even liked my tweet.

Also screamscape is reporting the tremors rumors are false and TCM and The Exorcist are coming to both coasts, that was also posted on April fools but I would like this to be true so I hope it's real

Orlando just released that the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is coming to their event. Screamscape might be right on that report of TCM and The Exorcist.
