Halloween Horror Nights - Hollywood 2015 Speculation

Recommended Posts

Wasn't too excited about Insidious Ch 3 potentially coming to HHNH until I saw it tonight. I was blown away at how good it was especially for the 3rd installment in a horror series and there are many scenes that I would love to see how they execute.

Yeah it looks really good! Hoping to see it as a maze this year!

The 1967 album from Cream has a song on it called Strange Brew. I thought that title stuck out possibly for our purposes. Although I doubt this connection matters, I discovered that there is a comic strip called Strange Brew that is drawn up by John Deering.

Actually, I have a pretty good guess I think.

White Rabbit from Jefferson Airplane could be the tie to Alice in Wonderland (assuming you get it)

The album was called Surrealistic Pillow and it is on the top 500 Rolling Stone list.

Jefferson Airplane is in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Obviously Alice in Wonderland was a book, so it has nothing to do with music.

Got A Revolution! The Turbulent Flight of Jefferson Airplane is a book that was written about them.

6. red herring (the band is from the USA)

The White Rabbit is a blatant reference to the White Rabbit and his hole from Alice in Wonderland.

I thought he said he wasn't gonna do an Alice in Wonderland maze.

There is one possible way they can make it work. He didn't exactly mean a variation of the Alice story and its possible we'd see a Alice Cooper take on Wonderland, if this is what the Out-of-the-box is.

Hey everyone I'm back if you remember me. Just saw the code on Twitter, thought I'd throw in my two cents so here goes:

Maybe this is a little more obvious but still hidden, if you catch my drift. The Beatles are unarguably one of the most popular bands in the world, and America (as the clue specified). They were from England. So that fits. They're in the hall of fame, and their seminal album was release in 1967 Sgt. Pepper. Now it would seem this would point to a 3D or psychedelic style maze, but here's my guess... Look closely at the celebrities on the album cover... Anyone interesting? Perhaps, Edgar Allan Poe. Maybe it's our turn to take on the original Prince of Darkness. Just a crackpot theory but you never know. Thanks for listening.

Not Alice in Wonderland. As you see I even put 'Based On' so that includes all variants. Thiugh I would love it. It's not seeming so.

The day Murdy tweeted that, perhaps it didn't look like Alice in Wonderland was a real option, but things could've changed making it happen after all. Muddy said no because it didn't look promising, perhaps it came through at the last minute & here we are. Just a guess, it lines up very well.

That's definitely a literary connection, is out of USH's comfort zone, and is debatable as horror. I like this

I'm just going off of what Murdy said. I asked this around the time the Out of The Box Property was being shot around. And then Orlando's 'leak' happened so I asked. It's totally possible. I would love it. Shot around as in U.S. Throwing random stuff at it like JW, Mad Max. Etc. Edited by HorrorNightsFan13

If we got an Edgar Allan Poe maze I could die happy. I can see how this may be "out of the box".

Almost everyone is in the Hall of Fame except Love and Moby Grape and they very well could be too, but I couldn't find them.

I think I listed pretty much every song from every album (except Bob Dylan's Basement Tapes). I also included album names with cover art links. All these albums are from 1967 and are on Rolling Stone's top 500 albums. Now it's time to sift through the data...

By this time he would've already had the out of the box property in mind so I doubt it.

Oh and about me denying Alice. I'm gonna eat some crow on this one. Murdy didn't reply to me. He may have just been busy but I was thinking. In my tweet I used the word Consideration. Maybe there was nothing left to consider and he was just taking advantage of my use of words. So sorry, Owen, for shutting you down so quickly. I need o remember to not shut people down immeadialtey and take their specs into consideration

On the note of Alice in Wonderland. Didn't Murdy say that Orlando wouldn't share the Out of The Box property? That either means we'll get it and Orlando won't, or we won't get it because it's something different.

It doesn't have to be the same version, don't forget we both got clown factories last year. Yours was ice cream, ours literally made clowns. Maybe yours isn't in 3D & ours is or vice versa. Perhaps ours is based on Asylum in Wonderland & yours connects to the 3rd & final Alice Cooper maze.

There are many ways around this, like when I said our Insidious would be best-of all 3 & if yours came it would be just 3. Same IP but different ways to use it.

Terminator Genisys is out July 1 which takes that movie out of consideration. If Terminator was to be used it would have to be based off any of the original films or the newer ones or perhaps an original concept idea. Alice Through The Looking Glass comes out next year actually so technically it could still be used.

Yea I know Genisys comes out this year but if we did get Terminator I'd imagine it to be something along the lines of Salvation. Genisys doesn't look like very much maze material from what I've seen in the trailers.

He likes referencing the magic eight ball whenever he answers you doesn't he Oatmeal? Any thoughts? I'm going with 'Post Punk' Insidious

Thank god I won't miss the announcement, and I agree, I think it will be Insidious. TWD doesn't seem to be the focus of the event anymore. Which day do you think it will be?

I think James Wan could be the creative consultant that has been brought on for the Terror Tram (just my guess). With that, and with the dvd release of Insidious 3 estimated to be in September, Insidious seems like as good a guess as any.

I don't think he's the creative consultant because when I asked Murdy said if he told us who it was it wouldn't give away the theme of Terror Tram, but I think Insidious is still a good guess.
