Halloween Horror Nights 25 Wishful Thinking

It could be a Muscovy, but I am curious how you are so certain it's a duck. In the picture you can't see the front of it, can't really tell if it's neck is extended and can't see it's legs. There are geese that have colors similar to a Muscovy duck, like Spur winged geese. Either way, obviously I'm just guessing with what I'm looking at. Maybe he used a duck instead in order to make it less obvious??? Or... maybe it's another food porn picture.

I think you mentioned something about a couple big cats on tumblr too? Maybe it is also a reference to another Mother Goose Fairy Tale. The one about The Master Cat... Aka, Puss in Boots.

The simplest answer as to why I believe it's a Muscovy duck is: I see them all the time. They are the duck I grew up around. They are very plentiful in my area. The red skin around the eye orbit tends to be a give away as well.

The more complicated answer. They are ducks because they are quacks in a bush.

I'm leaning more toward cryptids for the big cats that Dr. Jimmy posted. We did have a rumored cryptid house in 2012. The loss of SS44 seems to have caused us to lose that house. Cryptids are animals who's existence has been suggested, but not proven. There are cryptids that have been proven to exist. The giant squid, the devil bird, and the okapi are examples of animals that were initially considered "myths/folklore". Modern cryptids would be El Chupacabra, Sasquatch, Nessie, and the Beast of Darmoor.

They really need a cap on Express as well. At the rate they are being sold, there are going to add a 3rd express+ line.

Yeah pretty much. express becomes the norm, express + becomes the new express, and the regular line becomes the untouchables who have to fight to the death with tridents and the winner gets access at some point during the night to that particular house... no guarantees though

My cynical and disturbed side kinda likes the untouchables idea. But it would have to include a 4th ticket option. Those who get to stand and watch the untouchables do battle. The vicarious voyeur option? This option does not give access to the houses, only to a viewing area to watch the untouchables, and catch occasional glimpses of the express and express + people.

I would enjoy a cryptids house as well. I'm not sure which cryptid I'd want to see more though. I also wouldn't want it limited to traditional cryptids. I'd want the Mothman and Jersey Devil, too.

I did not receive it myself, but I heard a new survey went out about HHN tickets and I was wondering if anyone had some screenshots or remembered the numbers? I heard a new way of structuring the express pass was in the survey, but my friend did not have any numbers (or bother to remember the; bad friend).

I've heard about it, too. Apparently, it is very convoluted with many ticketing options. I have heard that the survey has a confidentiality clause. We may not get screenshots.

Even though some of the first one raised my eyebrow I read it as "We are throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks".

And really, a confidentiality clause in this community is about as useful as a grave robber in a crematorium.

How are you going to know who divulged what? Even screenshots... I doubt each question was personalized.

Someone I know got the survey as well. There was something in the survey that leads me to believe there will be more than 8 houses this year. The survey really was more concerned with your ticket purchasing habits for the most part.

I thought that the express tickets were already capped? They probably could cut that number though. I haven't had a anything bad to say about it probably because we generally go the 2nd week it opens when it's less busy.

I think a cryptid house could be great. Maybe have something where a rich collector of oddities rounds up cryptids to put in his collection, but they all get loose somehow. Here are a couple of potential candidates that could be there...

Lair of the White Worm could be the Megaconda.

The big cats mentioned earlier could be several different options: The Queensland Tiger/Yarri/Beast of Bodmin/Beast of Exmoor/Giant Black Puma/etc.

The picture of the werewolf could be the Beast of Bray Road or the Loup Garou. Either that, or it's just a Dog of War from Havoc riding Thomas the Tank Engine.

There were at least a couple pictures that could possibly tie to the Jersey Devil.

Then there's Jack. I've read and watched quite a bit of information on cryptids. But I honestly don't remember The Terror of London - Spring Heeled Jack. I guess he was a demonic looking humanoid that appeared in London. I guess he could jump up the sides of buildings and was super agile. Maybe Jack was just ahead of the curve and was the true inventor of parkour.

If they did do a house like this, appearances by Bigfoot, Chupacabra and the Mothman seem pretty mandatory.

I took the super top-secret survey and it in no way alluded to the content of the event (i.e. 8 houses), but it was 100% HHN-centric.

They have sent me surveys in the past that asked nearly identical questions, and for the life of me, I cannot see how this survey would yield any useful information - then or now.

But the answers are making some bean counter over there feel incredibly S-M-R-T, I mean S-M-A-R-T.

Of course, some of you are saying there were two recent surveys and I only got one...

If your survey didn't allude to houses, that means at least three surveys went out. Edited by Legacy

I would assume they would spend more time focusing on something to tie the anniversary together. Without story development to hold the anniversary content together, it's just a normal year except with an overexaggerated "25" on it. The main way for this this year to please me is to get a special backstory utilizing Jack and any other original content they plan on bringing back, or creating. My first idea was that possibly they would have the scarezones tell the story, whether it occupies all zones or just 1. The way they do this is to have a classic "HHN Past" scarezone with every icon and every past beloved character used. (Basically 20 Years Of Fear.) OR they can do multiple story-based scarezones where there's 4 or 5 zones each controlled by a seperate past icon. Not to mention a Jack zone, since he's returning.

Just to add: Does anyone think that they will use that rumored "Prop Master" icon that was in development for HHN24, but was never heard from again? I was really excited about that character.

I've only gotten one survey other than the one I posted the screenshots earlier in this thread.

It was a confidential one and It had nothing to do with HHN, back in Early December I think.

The one I posted wasn't confidential, I guess they don't like me anymore...

I posted screenshots of the one prior to this one, too. (The one with ghostbusters on it.) I, also, haven't received any surveys since. Except for a confidential one that was not HHN related and I was unable to complete it due to mobile issues.

After talking to some people, I realized that a lot of people are unfamiliar with Krampus. Just in case anyone here hasn't heard of him, the short answer is that he's like a demonic anti-Santa Clause. much like Santa, there are different versions of him in various countries. However, the underlying theme is the basically the same. He's not very nice. I'm only bringing this up because I think this concept could make a really good house. Below are links to descriptions of what Krampus is all about as well as pictures.
