StraightEdge
Horror Nights season is over as the 2013 event sadly comes to an end. But Murdy has been talking to movie directors about HHN 2014 already so aye ... Discuss 2014 wishes Well we finally get Trick R Treat next year? Is the Exorcist a possibility this year? Will "The Walking Dead" have a third comeback? Will "El Cucuy" get a repeat? Edited November 3, 2013 by StraightEdge

The Riddlers Son
I just wanna let everybody know that I have already the inside scoop on HHN 2014! TOTALLY KIDDING! Joking around. I'm not like those peeps that seem to know everything! Lol Anyways back to wishful thinking, I agree HHN 2014 needs to be the rise of Sam with him taking over Terror Tram and a maze! Mr.HHN
Alright here are my two cents. Trick R Treat will finally happen. Sinister will replace insidious. Resident Evil will replace Walking Dead. Alice Cooper might return or hopefully gets replaced with Marilyn Manson. El Cucuy mint return or we'll be seeing another legend. Oh and just to stir things up. Hellsraiser is getting a remake. Scream is getting a sequel. Army of Darkness is getting a sequel.
Ridesandstuff
I doubt TRT is coming since the sequel won't come out for some time Sinister is a possibility since John is all buddy buddy with Jason Blum, but then again you also have the poltergiest sequel looking for a release this year as well as all the success The Conjuring got, and e wot do two haunted house mazes. AHS is getting a good grip of attention, both critically and viewership, but TWD is doing the same at higher numbers too. Anyways, Here's my wish list Some Legend (since they've pretty much used up Hispanic legend unless they re use El Cucuy, maybe they'll move to Asian Legends...I was thinking Huli Jing) AHS: Coven (obviously) Poltergiest or The Conjuring The Ring AWIL Some HOH overlay

ferox
Well, Orlando was going to do a chupacabra maze before it was canceled at the last second due to construction. So there's always that. I don't think that particular myth could be pulled off as well as La Llorona or El Cucuy. Then again, I wasn't looking forward to Insidious at first and that ended up to be great. Sinister 2 is coming out in 2014. It's a blumhouse movie and time sensitive. I liked Sinister more than Insidious so that sounds promising.
Ridesandstuff
^I was thinking El Chupacabra as well, it's just that it's more of a cryptozoology thing and doesn't seem as rooted into folklore as LL or EC. Also Six Flags was using it (although I'm not sure if they'll have it next year). I'd actually really like to see a Cryptozoology maze with different creatures. Mr.HHN
Yea I don't think El Chupacabra will happen due to fright fest but I will love to see the moth man come to HHN.
ferox
Good point. I love folklore mazes since folklore is the oldest form of horror fiction (before books, video games, TV, and movies) but I think the chupacabra falls more into the cryptozoology camp. I should also mention that Scream 5 has not been announced yet, and aside from David not many people seem interested in it. There's a TV show, but as we learned with AHS being planned by Orlando and then having to be dumped you only get one TV show a year. Which I'm fine with because Scream is boring.
Ridesandstuff
For folklore, they could even do more general legends or personifications of things.i think a Grim Reaper maze would be pretty cool
Mr.HHN
Scream might not even never happen since Murdy pretty much doesn't like it and uses the whole scary movie Waaaaaz Up! Thing as an excuse to not do it.
Freak
Horror Nights season is over as the 2013 event sadly comes to an end. But Murdy has been talking to movie directors about HHN 2014 already so aye ... Discuss 2014 wishes Well we finally get Trick R Treat next year? Is the Exorcist a possibility this year? Will "The Walking Dead" have a third comeback? Will "El Cucuy" get a repeat? Man, I have not been this disappointed with HHN since 2010. No, I take that back. At least 2010 set our expectations so low that it actually wasn't as bad as I thought, but it still sucked. This year, I had high expectations for this year and it hit rock bottom. I've never been so eager to close the book on this year and go into wishful thinking. Before I go on putting down what I want to see, let me say what I want to see in the event overall before we get into the properties. If I don't see these kind of improvements to the event next year, then it won't matter to me what properties or ideas we get; HHN is just going to be one of the "let's just get his out of the way" haunts like Knott's was before the 40th. So here are the improvements I want to see: Try New Things: There is so much familiarity with the event now it's pathetic. We all have seen the reused props, the same scare tactics of distraction-scare (Which I'll touch more on later), the severe dependability on the "gutted" or "Cut-in-half" illusion, the static dummies replacing actors in certain houses, and the overuse of blank walls in the houses. For an event that is charging premium prices or mediocre quality, this is criminal. For someone who wasted $129 on the KD Pass, I feel somewhat cheated out of my money. High potential properties, a promising year, only to see how familiar and somewhat cheap the event is. Add More Shows: When I went to Knott's last night, I got to see Academy of Villains. For a show that only lasted two nights to fill the void that Elvira left, it was not a bad show. Afterwards, I started thinking more about this. When Elvira ended, I don't think people would not have minded about the show ending since they have several other shows, nor would I think it would have affected their capacity that much. HHN on the other hand, when they had their only show that was the big draw, they ended up canceling it; they never even bothered to think about replacing it. So who cares more about the happiness and satisfaction of their guests? I think we know who clearly cares. The very least HHN could have done was offer a replacement show to compensate for the loss of Bill and Ted. Just have a simple dancing show, a crappy little freak show, a puppeteer, a guy playing "Down with the Sickness" with a jar of mayonnaise...ANYTHING. Just spend a very small amount to help keep the guests satisfied. Because of that, guests have been paying premium rices for what is now (Assuming B & T does not return next year) 90% lines, 4% Food, 1% peeing, and 5% mazes. Absolutely no sit-down entertainment to keep the guests satisfied. If that isn't a spit in the face to your loyal customers and fans, I don't know what is. I've got more to say on this and more replies to what you guys are saying, but for now, I've got other things to tend to.
StraightEdge
My 2 cents: Resident Evil/ Walking Dead 3 American Werewolf in London The Conjuring/Sinister HOH Overlay that won't be Dupstep Alice Cooper III THE PURGE TERROR TRAM And will finally get a dream maze we all wanted: Trick R Treat The Exorcist Scream or Alien Or a repeat from Halloween or Hellraiser WISHLIST: Alien Predator Scream Cryptids/ Paranormal Creatures Maze HOH with barley little addition Original Terror Tram Edited November 3, 2013 by StraightEdge
StraightEdge
Insidous & TrT: I don't think will get a Insidous repeat till the third film comes out. Same with TRT, till the second film comes out. So 2015 for both. Exorcist: With a TV show coming out, there a possibility of getting this maze but it's a 50/50. And Murdy has been wanting to do it forever. Alice Cooper 3: Murdy really wanted to do this but skipped it for Black Sabbath which sucked. So he probably could do it this year. Didn't he say AC3 wasn't as scary BS ? If it wasn't then damn he maze would of sucked if we got it this year. He better have a good concept for it. Predator: My #1 Dream maze. When the Black Sabbath hint with the hand holding the skull everyone said it was Predator. Maybe with all the "Predator" comments, Murdy could have thoughts about making a Predator maze? Action movies but a maze would be fucking crazy And I think we're getting a survey this year since last year we didn't. Freak
StraightEdge how would Hellraiser be a repeat if it's never been done? Lol Don't you remember? StraightEdge is a time traveler. He said Evil Dead was whack before it was even announced! This means Hellraiser will be here for 2014 and be repeated by popular demand in 2015! On the subject, can you tell me, StraightEdge, if we got hoverboards, flying cars, and Jaws 25? So here's the line-up I WANT next year: -An original and creative overlay for HoH. Maybe walk thru backwards by entering the exit and give it a creative overlay. Something like that.Maybe with Dracula? -American Werewolf in London (Just ship the puppets over to Hollywood) -Trick r Treat (In SS 747) -Cabin in the Woods (Backlot) -Japanese Evil spirits house (Shrek/Persian Square) -Silver Screams/The Usher in stage 28 (You know, the one WE WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE THIS YEAR!) -An Usher themed Terror Tram on the European Streets A THEMED EVENT to the Universal monsters and traditional Halloween. An Usher scarezone on NY street, a TrT backlot experience, and the rest have a more gothic theme. Oh, and how about the return of Bill & Ted. If that's not possible, how about with Wayne's World? Also have a magic show and Chucky's Insult Emporium as its own standalone show again. What we'll most-likely end up getting: Universal Monsters Remix 3.0 Sinister in either Persian or Shrek American Werewolf in London in JP Trick r Treat crammed into the Mummy venue Walking Dead same as last year with a few new scenes from season 4 Alice Cooper or Marilyn Manson in SS 747...in 3D of course. It will look the same as Black Sabbath. Walking Dead Terror Tram again or maaaaybe Trick r Treat. One crappy show that's not B & T and, if we're lucky, Insult emporium on its own. Scarezones all feeling the same. Prices wil be higher and we will see even lower quality. Disclaimer: I apologize if I sound so gloom-and-doom and pessimistic on the HHN forums, but I'm being honest with how I felt this year. If I went back in time and told myself a week before HHN started that I would sound like this before the event started, I would have been shocked. They really disappointed this year and HHN does not seem to be getting that message.

StraightEdge
StraightEdge how would Hellraiser be a repeat if it's never been done? Lol I meant HALLOWEEN REPEAT or HELLRAISER. We need no repeats next year! Bill & Ted to come back & an official Chucky Insult Emporium. Could we get a 7th maze for the DM venue ? And good thing the DM ride will be open for HHN 2014.

Freak
Calling it now.. Insidious will be our repeat.. I don't think so. We'll probaby see Sinister. They might as well though since they'll recycle all of Insidious' props and walls. Yeah. Scream is not happening. Oh, and I wouldn't count on AHS or RE next year. We know Murdy wants to associate himself with the biggest television show of all time. Thanks George Luc- I mean, John Murdy.
