e z_e Posted October 27, 2012 Share Posted October 27, 2012 A letter to the street scareactors- While we love all the houses this year, my wife and I find ourselves spending more and more time sitting on benches throughout the park and watching you boys and girls tear up the streets. The dedication to your craft and the personalities you give your characters are nothing short of amazing. We've seen you endure injuries, hot costumes, large crowds, and drunk (and sober) idiots without missing a beat. Thank you all for the screams, the laughs, the hand hearts, and the threats of terrible bloody death. It has been an honor to watch you all at work.When the event is over, the couple on the bench, bearded guy and glasses girl (AKA Craig and Jen)will miss you very much. I enjoy you two coming to Mel's, it's fans like you guys that keep us going on those crazy nights. [silent Hill] *the first nurse who "took" Duffy and cuddled up to him [Gothic] *most of Cast A's gargoyles who really got me good. [House of Horrors] *most of the cast in the first set (especially in the final gauntlet). [Alice Cooper] *the jock from Cast A (which i forgot to mention last week because he "tweaked" both Duffy and Pal Mickey's nose) *The dad in the "Vengeance is Mine" room who called Duffy an "idiot" [Penn and Teller] *most of cast A who got me, and a one of the muses in the slot machine room (which i was floored to see that they had a Lupin the 3rd machine) who broke the 4th wall and called me out by my actual name instead of my usual username. and as unorthodox as it sounds, i'm going to have to give mad props to one of the orange shirt ops who gave me the opportunity to skip the line, and took me to the entrance where Duffy and I got our "Radiation Shields". [Traditionals] Many of the trick or treaters who were excited to see that i got them M&M's. [The Chainsaw Prisoners] the african-american inmate from Cast B (i think) who saw me and said "you again?". Syn coming in and out of Mel's Gothic, last 1 through again The photographer in dead end telling me to go back into my vault. The vampire who did the gungham style with us. Rosie Rosie Rosie... We always enjoy seeing you as well! I remember the bench scare; I was the Beast in the brown robe with a rope tie and a Voldemort nose who scared you plenty of times there as well. And yeah, Turk's recently discovered the wonders of the center piece in Hollywood. Five strollers come through and you guys pause and fist bump the kids gently. IMHO kids that small should not be here, and you guys were so gentle. Cody and his fellow beasts-thanks for teaching Jen's hat to fly:) never been prouder to be a cerebin. Warriors-thanks for the thumbs up for Jen's baccanoid shirt. We'll totally be checking the bushes before we sit down in the park for the rest of our lives...kitten girl-I swear we'll bring you candy wednesday, we don't want you to sic the iniquitus on us. Leapord collar vamp-Jen thanks you for the pocket lint,she'll treasure it forever. To our half frozen vamp girls, we're so sorry we couldn't give you any of our warm blood. Last but certainly not least, to our rat escort friend, Jen says thank you sooo much for her cookie. It's far to precious to eat, we're thinking of having it framed. Easily one of my favorite experiences in that house and maybe it'll be the only one i'll miss the most to get another personal scare. (After you scared my kid brother who wore glasses) He asked me last night if I was apart of Nightmares and I said yes and ill see him soon, where here I am. Because of you and a batch of actors (carnage your included here, the doctor, the redhead nurse of black widow, and the mother are all here as well) with great music is the saving grace of this house if any of those weren't there it would be another run-of-the-mill house. Thank you and I hope I can say goodbye on halloween. I know i haven't given much appreciation yet but don't worry after halloween ill post all the scareactors who made my nights ever so memorable. Sprinting, jumping over the flowers, and then charging up to me...I had no idea it was you (I thought it was a guest running FROM you) until after you freaked me out. That was awesome! Shoutout to the vampire that told my girlfriend that "redheads are delicious" or something to that extent. And to the vampire near kidzone that pointed at my Vault shirt, and told me she liked me lol. <3 to the chainsaw girls near Penn&Teller ripping everything up! There was a blonde and a redhead that continuously picked on my girlfriend and I (and our stuffed animals). "SERIOUSLY?! WHO BRINGS A GERBIL TO THE PARK?!?!" at my girlfriend's Pygmy Puff. It was awesome. <3 the Traditionals near kidzone last night....you guys are all awesome. <3 to the one who recognized my cat as a Cats n' Combs cat (first scareactor this year to mention that). Thanks to the blonde Vampire in the area where 7 used to be for creeping my girlfriend and I out...forcing us to stop holding hands, and then walking around us. It was awesome. I feel like I'm missing a lot, and I most likely am. Hoping to write a huge post on Halloween night! I was mesmerized by the bungee and had no idea you were standing right behind me till I stepped on you and nearly had a heart attack! Then I was torn between my terror and stammering out an apology. She made me swear a "double trick or treat smell my feet promise" on her grave to give no candy to any other trick or treater but her. Especially to either of the other foxes.
