Sinfear
If these zones were to stay, I’d guess Last of Us in New York, Dark Christmas in Hollywood, Blumhouse in Plaza, Jungle in Central Park, and Vamp in SanFran

Sorry, I just love when christmas and horror collide and I really want to experience something like that at HHN. And could be a double win for us in terms of personal preferences when it comes to certain themes. You want more snow-related things while I want more jungle-related things. On the first spec map, an original concept Krampus house was rumored, but never went through the second, so I’m kinda wondering that we might get something related to that as a zone. As for the rumored jungle zone, there’s a lot possible themes they could choose from like an ancient curse, a Scary Tales-esque Jungle Book with a Hindu lore spin, a Tarzan theme that may revolve around La who is a sorta lesser known character from the books, and at the craziest, they could do Jurassic Park again. These are all some guesses of mine, but you might have your own take it.
Sinfear
What if the creatives from HHN are looking at this forum for some inspiration? If the jungle zone happens and it’s eerily similar to your concept, you should try to get them to write you a check
Fear2010
Not sure if they do. But if so, then it should be happening, since everyone is on board with it now cause when it comes to Scary Tales, I can still take Mowgli over Alice (and Dorothy) again. Sinfear
LETS GOOOOOO. The Last of Us got announced and it’s based on the game too. Super hyped for this house 1
Fear2010
And just in time for the franchise 10th anniversary. I’m guessing they’re going with the games cause they probably have trouble getting the rights of the TV series, but I think it goes either way. However, Chucky is the only house that is on the television bill, so they probably wanna strike a balance to make sure everything is different enough. Get ready for more merch to drop at the studios right now!
Sinfear
This is the most I’ve ever been excited for an IP since Trick r Treat. The Last of Us is one of my favourite games so I’m super excited to see how this translates.
scithe
I'm optimistic for this year. Definitely ok with a Last of Us house.
Fear2010
Here are some details! "On both coasts, the haunted houses "will propel guests into a world of carnage and mayhem as they follow in the footsteps of the game's protagonists, Joel and Ellie, who endure a brutal journey in a world overtaken by a fungal virus that turns humans into various forms of a new threat known as the Infected," per a press release. Along the way, guests will encounter fearsome foes from the games, including runners, stalkers, and clickers, and will also stare down hostile human adversaries. Attendees will experience other locations from the games as well, like the Hotel Grand and subterranean tunnels. "We are excited to bring The Last of Us to life in a terrifying haunted house that is true to the spirit of this popular video game featuring our heroes, Joel and Ellie, clickers and more," said Lora Sauls, Assistant Director, Creative Development and Show Direction at Universal Orlando, in a statement. John Murdy, HHN's EP, added: "The world inside the game offers a multitude of suspenseful and horrifying opportunities to provide guests with a one-of-a-kind experience that can only be found at Halloween Horror Nights."" https://ew.com/amusement-parks/universal-halloween-horror-nights-last-of-us-haunted-house/?utm_campaign=entertainmentweekly_entertainmentweekly&utm_content=manual&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_term=648b3694ad70cc00013f0738 And the reveal trailer for those who had never seen it yet.
Joelimitsu
Now that we have two IPs out of the way, time to speculate which Universal Monster is coming this year
Fear2010
Though, I wouldn’t hold my breath, but some elsewhere speculated that the Top Secret house is Stranger Things and the location of it on the current spec map is actually inaccurate while Demon Slayer could be a codename for an original concept that is still Japanese-related. Sinfear
As long as Stranger Things is season 4 only and not a mash up, I’ll be happy. But I honestly disliked the 29 house. 28’s was incredible though.

Sinfear
Cool, with Stranger Things very likely to come this year to Orlando, I am even more happy that I’m doing RIP both nights I’m attending. The lines are gonna be crazy this year.
ultimateforce
I feel like this year is returning to my personal favorite, HHN 28. Something about this lined up is giving me deja vu.

Chucky is announced as a house, Stranger Things might have a surprising return for Season 4, Woodstock Vamp is the most rumored scarezone, and I also think it’s possible that the rumored Jungle zone might have a Scary Tales aesthetic and something literature-related (see my house concepts I written).
Fear2010
Now there are some talks going on about the scarezones being reduced to four, meaning the the now Minions Land zone won’t be having it cause that particular IP with its own areas at other parks is never used for the event.
Sinfear
That’s it. I’m declaring war against those banana addicted bastards. I hope this rumor isn’t true because I’ve just about had it with those little fuckers.
Fear2010
Wouldn’t hold my breath on the 4-zone limit yet until the next spec map update. The New York Waterfront behind the Sting Alley where the Klownz were retain the total to 5. Edited July 3 by Fear2010
Fear2010
On Discord, Legacy said that a next house announcement is gonna drop on Thursday at the longest, which could be Stranger Things cause this week marks the seventh anniversary of the series like how the Last of Us was announced on the first week of its 10th anniversary.
Sinfear
That makes sense. I’m excited for what the trailer for this could show, probably Vecna turning one of the characters from the last trailer into a pretzel.
Fear2010
I can see a week by week announcement, starting with Stranger Things for this time, the Exorcist for the next week, and Monsters for the end of the month that not only lines well but also roll us right into Midsummer Scream with one of the Hollywood originals over there. Then in August, we get the final spec map update and later a full dump of originals, zones, and shows to finalize the full lineup.
Fear2010
Well whaddya know! They recently dropped a playlist of songs as hints for this year’s event. Edited July 12 by Fear2010
Sinfear
Stranger Things season 4 official. I’m super excited and also relieved that it’s not a mashup house.
