I'm too lazy to go so many posts back to find it but somewhere it was said that the scaractors from the Dark Christmas scarezone had been contacted that they're almost %100 sure that they're going to do a Dark Christmas maze. A lot of people here get so caught up with believing that Murdy "let them down" because he didn't do this or that that they forget that a lot of the stuff that they "don't get" can really easily be explained if you have a less reactionary state of mind. And because they get caught up in that, they end up being unsatisfied while the people they knock for being "casual fans" end up actually enjoying the event. Grindhousehero13 Posted February 2, 2015 Author Share Posted February 2, 2015 That's what I think as well, but I'm just saying just cuz he said on HHNH twitter may not be the whole reason, like I said from someone who does not like nor hate AHS it does not seem to work as a maze, imagine as many AHS fans there are if Murdy said "I personally don't think AHS will work" how many tweets will flood on top of the AHS tweets they already get and how outrage they will be. A General statement like "It's not a good idea to do competing shows" covers all his bases with FX and the fans. And what basically Ferox means is Speculate that's what we are here for, but people tend to speculate on how "We as Fans are gonna get screwed over cuz of______" which blank is always either AMC/TWD, not having a show or Murdy. Rumination has been shown to exacerbate negative cognitive biases in depression, and to reduce likelihood estimations for positive future events. We examine the hypothesis that, in depressed patients, rumination would reduce the ability to imagine positive future events, whilst increasing the ability to imagine negative future events. Method: The ability to imagine positive and negative future events was assessed using the future thinking paradigm (MacLeod, Rose, & Williams, 1993). Depressed and nondepressed participants completed the future thinking task after being randomly allocated to either a rumination or distraction manipulation (Nolen-Hoeksema & Morrow, 1993). Mood was measured before and after the manipulation. Participants also completed a standard verbal fluency task. Results: In the depressed group, compared to distraction, rumination increased both negative and positive future thinking, although the effect was only significant for negative future thinking once baseline levels of hopelessness were controlled for. These findings are consistent with the prediction that rumination would increase negative future thinking, but inconsistent with the prediction that rumination would reduce positive future thinking. Previous findings that, compared to controls, depressed patients generated fewer positive future events were replicated. Conclusion: Ruminative self-focus leads to greater negative future thinking in depressed patients, further confirming that rumination exacerbates negative cognitive biases in depression.
