Halloween Horror Nights - Hollywood 2015 Speculation

Recommended Posts

I think either AHS or Insidious 3 sounds right.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3195644/?ref_=nv_sr_2

Insidious: Chapter 3 focuses on Elise, so I'd agree and say either property is likely. Maybe the latter more so because American Horror Story will be starting an entirely new story come October.

So for me the chances are: 50% Insidious, 30% American Horror Story, 20% Other

post from micechat. take with a grain of salt

I have a close friend who worked as a scare actor in the Dark Christmas scare zone last year and he said that his supervisors told him that they are almost 100% sure that the scare zone will be a maze this year and they were all asked to return for it.

also it looks like Dr. Jimmy is giving us a hint as to what band murdy is talking about. He posted these recently

so either Duran Duran or Adam and the Ants. Granted, these could just be his guesses

EDIT: nvm looks like he doesn't have anything on hollywood...yet

If the property is Insidious rather than AHS that means no hints are red herrings. Robert is still a member of the cure, email has killed letters, and Elise is the main character in Insidious ch. 3

He never said any WERE official red herrings. Just that one was a carny trick. That's probably about Freakshows or letters, because they're obviously not literally being killed or going extinct.

Post-Punk is a vast genre.

Video killed the Radio Star does seem to be the first song that comes to mind regarding hint #2.

Maybe that's the carny trick? We outright dismiss "radio" due to the first song we think of? R.E.M. Is considered Post-Punk and their first single was Radio Free Europe.

Honestly I think that Insidious 3 fits the clues too well for it to not be Insidious. However, unless I misread, he never stated that it was an IP, so there is a chance it's an original maze, although I doubt they're planning the original(s) before the IPs.

So The Cure fits all of his hints, and the plot of American Horror Story: Freak Show seems to be modern technology killing the freak show. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you this song: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freakshow_(The_Cure_song)

I also discovered a couple more songs, but none nearly as striking as the one above:

http://www.metrolyrics.com/disco-dancer-lyrics-devo.html

http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/coldfeet/workinginacoalmine.htm

Ummm yeah modern technology (as in technology that are significant to the present day as we speak) did not kill the freak show (in fact if you count Cable it is kind of bringing it back into style) Human rights killed the freak show. Human rights is not technology we are grasping at straws here...also for future reference Mayonnaise is not an instrument.

I'll throw another The Cure song in the mix: Friday I'm in Love.

1) Jon is the middle name of The Cure's bass player.

2) Love has been killed by modern technology.

3) Was a single and arguably one of their better known songs.

What else we know: the Friday the 13th reboot is supposed to be released in November. Incidently, The Cure also has a song called The 13th.

We won't. That's quite unfortunate because that sounds like a FANTASTIC idea.

Maybe it's one of the strange properties he mentioned early on? I dunno lol probably wishful thinking on my part mainly because I just want to see how it would play out.

BTW it seems like Orlando may be getting a Hellraiser house, so that's a possibility for HHNH

Murdy kinda denied it a while ago on Twitter but who knows I hope he changes his mind. Seriously if Orlando gets Hellraiser and we don't you don't know how mad I'd be.

I'm just not sure if either of The Cure songs are all that popular. Based on Hint 3 whatever song murdy is talking about seems to be pretty well known. The Cure songs mentioned seem pretty obscure to me

I have to agree. (As long as hint #3 isn't the red herring).

Here's a list I found (it's wiki but it has a large amount of bands):

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_post-punk_bands

Band names that stand out to me are:

R.E.M., A Flock of Seagulls, Eurythmics, 10,000 Maniacs, The B-52s, there's probably more, but those are the ones that jumped out at me.

I don't know if you've watched this season of American Horror Story but the entire plot is about tv taking over while the Freak Show is left in the dust. We may not agree with it, but there's no denying that that's the plot. I still think it's more likely Insidious though.

Does he have inside information? Sorry for the stupid question but I've been wondering ever since I got into HHN spec but I never got around to asking.

Dr. Jimmy usually supplies reliable clues for Orlando. The "usually" is for his annual April 1st post which shouldn't be taken seriously. As for Hollywood, he doesn't give clues often, but when he has they were reliable.

It's not whether or not I agree it's History

not trying to be anal but just trying to be realistic!
