Halloween Horror Nights 24 Speculation

Recommended Posts

I have different theory. There's a lot of missing children in horror that aren't because of the Boogeyman.

You're automatically assuming "Guys and Dolls" is about dolls? Okay...

And as of right now, the only potential house/scarezone combo I see is TWD.

My theory isn't that all children are missing from the boogeyman or el cucuy, I was using the point as an example. I could list 100 possible things it could be, especially if it is an original house.

I'm also not assuming the clue it is about dolls (although the word doll is repeated 9 times in the song). The first thing that popped in my head was the Island of Dolls near Mexico City, which was then followed by a bunch of ideas (a couple of them were even posted on the previous page). It all depends on how you want to approach looking at the clue (lyrics, creators, what else it was used in, who sang). If you have a good theory, care to share?

You say this, "And no, I don't believe scarezones and houses will match. And not just because we have too many clues."

And then a few hours later you say, "the only potential house/scarezone combo I see is TWD".

Although I could be wrong, if there is a house/scare zone combo we (in theory) could have 2 separate clues. This was basically the only point I was trying to to get across.

It is all speculation at this point...

All TWD was the problem, not TWD itself.

I agree... As bas as it was, I still think it may have been better than the year before. Thank god for the traditionals at least (HHN 22).

Some people are just zombied out especially because of last year. But there are still plenty of fans that want to see The Walking Dead, just not around every corner. The show and the comic are $.

Who said we were getting a purge house?

The Purge

"There are six sirens when opening Purge at 7 pm March 21st and seven sirens when closing Purge at 7 am March 22nd.

At the very beginning of the movie, when James Sandin arrives home, he says "Home again, home again, jiggety-jig". This is from the opening of an old nursery rhyme: To market, to market, to buy a fat pig/Home again, home again, jiggety-jig."

The only other match thus far even relatively close was Dr. Who, and I know we aren't getting that (because I really want it).

If there are other theories on this clue, fire away...

That clue could be for a street. Not a house.

Cassi is up to Clue 11 (which doesn't include the Who am I? clues). Some of her clues must be for streets.

EDIT: Since Cassi's street clues have pointed to locations, I decided to see if I could connect and SZ location to the clue.

To Market, To Market is used as a bedtime story by Kris Kringle in Miracle on 34th Street. Kris Kringle works at Macy's in that movie. There is a Macy's Facade in NY.

Purge = scarezone on NY streets

I have to be honest, that connection seems like a stretch... but it does work. :)

Is there any other place besides NY Streets where a purge scare zone would work effectively?

So... If you are buying into the idea that there will be a Purge scare zone, why won't there be a house? I don't think they would use an ip just for a scare zone. Has that ever been done before?

My personal opinion is that Purge would/will only work as a street. It's actually similar to how I feel about the idea for an Exorcist house.

There aren't enough environments for a house to be successful.

Now, I have not seen the first Purge movie, but it seems similar to The Collector/Last House on the Left/Strangers. Basically, it's home invasion horror usually with a bit of torture porn thrown into the mix.

The three movies I just mentioned would never translate well to a house in my opinion. Actually, The Strangers scene in Silver Screams always seemed too long to me, and that was just one room.

The Exorcist only has one environment. I suppose they could use other movies in the franchise and include the foyer and crab-walk scenes, but there just isn't enough variety.

I'm not allowed. Not on this one.

Hollywood did it. Last year. With the Purge.

Just to the reference made to my video. I never said they would do a house on the wishmaster , I said maybe a theme around Arabian genies or legends etc..

I believe they could easily do a purge scare zone and have no house. Cost effective , normal calls and some cheap masks that's it.

I suppose the Purge could be a scare zone only... but with the release of part 2 this summer, I expected a bit more. I agree with you 100% in regards to the Exorcist. There really aren't enough environments to set up a proper house. But with the Purge, I think you could set up a house fairly easily with a little extra effort from the scare actors. Just my opinion.

I think that some here are overthinking these clues waaaaay too much.

You haven't seen anything yet!

I haven't tried to analyze our two code names yet, because I know how convoluted I can be. I can overthink and link just about anything.

Charlie has soooo many options, and I could start from one point and end up in a completely different theme.

Although, Doc's pic of Charlie Tuna has me thinking The Incredible Mr. Limpet. Childhood favorite of mine. Most Don Knotts movies were childhood favorites of mine. The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, and of course his appearances on Scooby Doo. He did voice work in a Pinocchio animated movie. Pinocchio is a doll that comes to life. Everyone keeps talking about dolls.

Did any of the Orfans have dolls?

I'm assuming Pure Imagination is Doc's Charlie clue. Children have pure imagination. But Kiddy Widdy Winkies seems more applicable to a "boogeyman" house.

Charlie Brown, Charlie from TrT, Charles Manson, Charlene McGee, Charlie McPherson, I even considered Charlie = Charles = Ghostbusters.

Charlene "Charlie" McGee = the main character from The Firestarter. HHN has it's own little girl fire starter. Cindy?

Charlie is a mystery.

Answered my own question:

"Her only friend was a large porcelain doll, which Cindy considered her twin sister."

"Cindy escaped into the graveyard, her face a trail of burning flesh.

The next morning, Police and Fire officials found only the remains of Cindys doll, its porcelain face missing."

Cindy's original backstory. Hmmmm....

Wasn't Cindy also supposed to wear a doll's mask to get around the fact that they couldn't use an actual child?

I remember talks of white masks.

Yep! That's what is alluded to in the quotes. All they find is her doll, but the face is gone. Cindy's face is all burnt up.

So, now I'm thinking...

Cindy's story is somewhat known by the HHN fandom, but if they remove or tweak certain aspects of her story, the basic premise is "lonely little girl whose only friend is a doll".

And this has made me think of Robert.

Dear HHN masters,

Please, please don't base a house off of Robert. PLEASE!!! Even a resemblance to him will make the house terrifying. For love you have for us, me?....please!!!!

Heh... I have a house concept that features Robert.

I mentioned a while back that the "Dust witch" stuff could potentially relate to Cindy in some way, this kind of gave me the inspiration for that:

Maybe our dust witch is Cindy, grown up and bitter? Would make her use easier and more politically correct if anything were to go wrong.

Just looking at the previous hints... I don't think Chance exactly has the... Mentality that this speaker has.

Then again, she wasn't in servitude of Jack, so... I don't know. I'm confused.

This could be coming from a new character, multiple characters, no characters, a member of LT...

I just don't know. Help.
