HHN Hollywood X Wishful Thinking

Recommended Posts

I'm going to miss the Saw Maze. I loved them. Sadly, I heard that they are not going to make a Saw maze again (or at least not anytime soon). But I would to have a Trick R' Treat Maze and a Scream Maze! I really don't want to see TCM come again though! Since leatherface had been there for 2 years already. I also think Freddy and Jason are done because they have been at HHN for 3 years now! So I really don't want to see Freddy, Jason, or Leatherface return anytime soon! An Excorcist maze would be nice and creepy though!

I see you're new here. Welcome to the forums! :) We have cake and ice cream for new people. :D

I think we've had enough of Saw. Period. I don't want to see it again...ever. Not even for a long time. Twice is enough. I agree with you on the NLC characters, though (Including TCM). Exorcist would be awesome, but Murdy has been trying to pull Steven King's finger on it for a long time and still won't do anything. I wouldn't expect it this year, nor anytime soon but who knows. Maybe Murdy will pull some epic surprise on us and say that he finally got the rights to it this year or maybe even next year.

I got no cake.... :(

A Trick R Treat maze would be epic, since those water zombies looked so good. Maybe more of a carnival style and not the hobo clown look they went with last year..

Another new member! Welcome! Dang, our side is growing! As for the cake and ice cream, sorry, but the people under the stairs ate it. ;)

If they went for a more carnival style for TrT, I could see it as the big 3D maze of the year. I could see the 3D effects working with the writing on Mr. Kreig's wall from Sam and maybe some of the scenery from the principal's house. The carnival style of the street party could probably work too.

For the record, Stephen King didn't write The Exorcist lmao

And if you want Saw, I'm sure you can go to Circus Circus or something. Someone, somewhere, will almost inevitably be having a maze of it. I can pretty much guarantee it.

But imagine... Saw coming back one more time... who would flip? I think that would be the one thing to make me say "you know what Murdy? I had faith but now I've lost it."

... A Terminator maze would be uber bad ass, c'mon now lol if you really think about it, having a half robot Arnie running after you through a crashed into police station and than an industrial factory where he gets smooshed and could easily blend in with the machinery would be scary, if done right. Totally not for HHN, but maybe one day they can do a "robots take over the world" maze haha

FINALLY, SOME ACTIVITY!

All is swell on my end.

The month is coming to an end.

Time really is flying by fast since the last HHN.

Pretty soon Scream 4 will be released upon the world in about 2 and a half months.

As you all know, I'm jumping in pure joy.

Even though Scream 4 comes out soon, that doesn't mean that it WILL come this year (Though I want it to come!). If the film doesn't do well or bombs, then I doubt Scream will happen this year and we'll end up getting House of 1000 Corpses back instead, probably. But again, Scream is the no. 1 requested property by the GP and the fans alike and it is the number one grossing slasher series ever...

If that happens, let's just hope they don't announce to remake Evil Dead right before the event so that Murdy may not decide at the last minute to push it off until 2014 or whenever a remake on it would come out. If that happens, they may opt to return Michael Myers.

Sorry to sound a bit pessimistic, but after last year's major disappointment (though still a descent event), I'm trying to lower my expectations so I don't jump off a bridge or something. lol But if they do have Scream, Evil Dead, and Trick r' Treat, I will be SO down for buying a FFP.

we gotta stop assuming mazes will come back just cuz a new one dose not and lets just hope they dont make a evil dead remake PERIOD

Scream is coming. There is no doubt about it. With a theatrical release of the number 1 slasher series of all time coming out in April, an approximate DVD release date of August/October, and the fact that it was voted by the people as the 3rd most anticipated film of the year (behind Harry Potter and Breaking Dawn) on Entertainment Weekly which pretty much ENSURES it will be a hit; that pretty much sets it in STONE that this movie is coming to HHN this year. If not, Murdy NEEDS to be fired for not capitalizing on this year's biggest horror territory when some lowly internet nerd like me, can see that it's a win all around situation. What else does it need to fit the fuckin' criteria?!

And I can NOT believe for the life of me that you HOPE Evil Dead gets remade. You make my heart sad. Even though I'd be down to see it, that still brings a tear to my eye.

Easy dude. I NEVER want an Evil Dead remake. Especially if Ashton Kutcher were to be casted as Ash. I'm just having us face reality here saying IF there were to be a remake.

EDIT: Wow. Just as soon as I said that, they're now looking at a script for an Evil Dead remake to see if they want to go ahead with it. http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/23155

Also DTH, please don't jinx Scream by saying that it WILL be a hit. ;)

Scream WILL be a hit. There's no such thing as a jinx in assur-ity.

The only thing jinxed, is Evil Dead, you SOB!!! Everyone chase Freak with pitchforks like he's Frankenstein.

Watch it man. I'm a mod now. Cross me and I ban you. Capeesh?

Just kidding man, just kidding. ;)

I think it's pretty much set-in-stone that Scream WILL be there this year since it's the third most anticipated film according to EW, like you said. So I'm not worried... oh crap! Now I jinxed Scream! Just like I did with the Wolfman!

In all seriousness, I hope Sam Remi is not stupid enough to green-light the remake. Not only would it suck (Keep in mind that there would be NO Ash.), not only would that mean another crappy remake, but that would also push back any chance of Ash getting the HHN spotlight even further! Not to mention that we wouldn't have Evil Dead Part 4! Wow this sucks. If Evil Dead DOESN'T come this year, then what would go in the WWW arena (Most logical location for such a maze IMO)? A Halloween repeat? Friday the 13th: Revenge of the Angry HHN fans?

Stephen King wont allow any of his properties for theme park use it kinda sucks but he has the right.

I dont think the remake will effect if Murdy does Evil Dead this year, look at F13 08 the remake came out 4 months after that HHN and the next year had nothing to do with Jason

Meaning at the time of 2007, New Line was probably still thinking they'd do another sequel whether it be another VS. or a follow up to Jason X so therefore, didn't mind signing the 2 (or as some believe, 3) year contract. 2008 came along, and I'm assuming the remake was a for sure thing to do early in the year but the contract was already signed.

As for Evil Dead, we KNOW there aren't any sequels coming because there hasn't been one since the early nineties. The remake, at this point, seems like the most for sure thing, meaning they'll want to hold off doing any business with HHN until they get that situation settled.

So all in all - Evil Dead is a much different situation than F13 because of the contract made 2 years prior. Murdy and Ghosthouse Pictures wouldn't want to lose the novelty of the Evil Dead maze by doing the original film one year, coming out with the remake, having a possible repeat, then people bitching it's not based on the remake because that's not the Evil Dead from 2011 or 12 that they know, blah blah blah.

Friday13 - much bigger franchise, contract, successful remake = original and remake based mazes and repeats that went over well with most GP and fans, therefore equaled OKAY.

Evil Dead - MUCH smaller franchise, no contract, no remake as of yet = bigger gamble without the remake, therefore pretty much a NO GO.

What they COULD do is, Evil Dead for 2011, the remake hits either late 2012 or 2013, so no maze for 2012 because they're waiting to see it's success, possibly not 2013 either. Evil Dead remake maze, IF the remake did well, for 2013 or 14, kinda like F13's stance, but then we all get pissed off and cry "repeat!"
