Grindhousehero13
I'm watching the original movies, since it turns out I've only ever seen the Dream Master and New Nightmare. Was Freddy -ever- scary? depends who you are I for one loved his movies not because he was scary but because its awsome but I do have 2 friends 1 boy and 1 girl who have a real Phobia of Freddy, the girl wont go anywhere near anything Freddy related and she get scared of people in stripe sweaters no joke and the boy broke down and cryed in the Freddy's Nightmare maze from 07. electro_killer
I personally love the movies. Hes not scary to me, I actaully laugh during the movies because of his one liners. But NOES just works so well as a maze, I liked the remake, just hated the new Freddy. They really could have done sooooo much better.
Trevler
So media is going to see this maze today. I think its a rather good sign that Murdy is going to showcase this one. I doubt he'd do it if it was crappy.

Trevler
HOTC is not anywhere close to being done. Its still mostly bare walls. They can't very well show something that isn't built.

Freak
I haven't seen the remake, but was there a scene where Freddy came through the wall like that clip they showed in the sneak peak video? If so, I hope they incorporate that into the maze.
DTH316
If it's incorporated into the maze, it'll be a screen with a 3D cgi effect... to emulate the completely HORRIBLE retake on that scene in the movie. Seriously, there's no way anyone in a theater thought that looked real. Especially when in the original, IT WAS REAL. Ugh, I think if anything pissed me off in the remake, it was that scene. Trevler
Why the hell would we do it with a 3D effect in a maze THATS NOT 3D?

DTH316
^ and failed MISERABLY. Never seen worse CGI in my life. PS1 graphics were better than that garbage.

electro_killer
I forget how it was used in the other mazes, does anyone remember? There was a false wall, that had this stretchy material over it, A scareactor would be on the other side reaching through.
DTH316
Which was how it was done in the original movie as well. In the remake on another hand... ugh... that's just a different story.

the ghost
I dont know what exactly to expect, but according to themeparkadventure.com even people who hated the new movie said this maze was impressive. Of course they saw it scare free, but I actually like this house idea more than most people. In my mind Freddy is the ultimate horror icon. Hes got some awesome kills which can almost compete with Jason and leatherface, but hes also somewhat of a literal monster because he does not rely on reality. I may be disappointed, but I am REALLY looking forward to this maze this year.
