  1. Actually people do care. Have you not seen the large amount of complaints and comparisons to HOS this year? There are people one the HHN FB page saying HOS is far more original this year. That Uni is dropping the ball. That the website sucks. That they don't even think they will go this year, and will go to HOS instead. These are not the hardcore fan base, forum going people. This is the GP saying these things. The GP are far more important than we are. We, as true fans who are willing to help the event, should inform Uni of the misconceptions, complaints, and thoughts of the GP. Otherwise they will not know. Fans usually are willing to do surveys, give positive as well as negative responses. Explain in constructive ways where things need to be tweaked, because we love the event. The GP usually can't be bothered with these surveys. It takes away from their oh so precious time. And how are the GP or anyone suppose to know the theme when it's not ON the website. Just check out the FB page, every other post is: What's the theme this year? When are you going to release the theme? I want to know the theme NOW! People say it's SH. People say it's TWD. People say it's AC. And now people say it's P&T.

  2. The post on the HHN Orlando Facebook: "We are getting ready to make another big announcement soon...Consider yourself warned." Notice anything here?: http://www.riolasvegas.com/casinos/rio/casino-entertainment/penn--teller-detail.html

  4. I basically said the same thing. Along with telling them their site is currently boring as dirt. If TWD is the theme, they better have TONS of walkers in these hordes...

  6. If that house includes the option for me to smack Lori, shoot Shane and lock Carl in a room where he can't wander away...I'm completely down with it ;-) LOL

  7. I have been thinking about the houses they have announced so far and I came up with an idea. What if each house this year represents a certain medium of entertainment? Like Silent Hill represents video games, Walking Dead represents television, Alice Cooper represents music, and Penn and Teller represent the stage. If we get a house based on literature, it could end up being our long rumored H.P. Lovecraft house.

  8. This is outrageous. Everything I've heard today has made my skepticism *disappear*. Very much looking forward to this house.

  9. Pretty excited about this house. I'm a huuuuge Penn and Teller fan. (Also, I moved all the press images, video, and info to the first post. Makes life easier.)

  10. I took the survey.. after the questions regarding the theme, in the comments, I put something along the lines of: "I had no idea of the theme until you told me in this survey"

  11. Troiandan, I share your joy. I love P&T, I love Vegas, and I like the premise of the house. The dark comedy houses have always been some of my favorites, so I'm really looking forward to it.

  14. While I respect that not everyone shares my joy, I'm really excited and looking forward to this house. It has become increasingly difficult for me to go without my requisite cheese during HHN, and I'm just as pleased as punch that they seem to have delivered again. I get the feeling this could be some pretty sick humor here. I hope I'm right, and I'm ready to go!!

  15. Well he swings a sword that is about 9' long and well over 100 lbs which he drags behind him that can cut through 6 in steel like butter (or bifurcate a person in one swing) . He is seven foot tall and can pick a person up by their neck and can skin said person with on hand.(http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=gC8i6kUI-R0... but be warned it's graphic.) I'd say he is formidable... slow maybe but definitely solid and deadly. And the horn has always implied doom (hence it's use aside for a way to transition the worlds). The WWII one they used was to warn of impending air raids... which always meant death. A slightly different Chrysler victory horn was to be used to warn of impending nuclear attack during the cold War. An investigation was performed in Zagreb and its surroundings in 1991 and 1992 during the war against Croatia. The study included 50 civilians who, at the moment of the sounding of the air-raid siren, had a continuous electrocardiogram recorded as part of the routine cardiologic examination. What was found was that civilians always reacted with increased pulse frequency at the moment of the sounding of the air-raid siren. Anyone who has played the new game downpour will notice the horn is missing... I for one felt the fire alarm that replaced it just didn't make me dread what was coming as much.

  16. They could probably re-purpose the InBetween winged demon costumes to work with the Gargoyle theme. They already have the glowing eyes and such. They could also use a sort of storm scene with wind and water, like last year in Forsaken. I think the gargoyle house is the one i am looking forward to the most as far as details go.

  17. would this pushing happen before or after he rapes the mannequins?.. i'd be careful about knocking him off balance because he could fall on you resulting in the pyramid's "point" to puncture your face/body... -insert SQUISHY-blood puncturing sound-

  18. I like the way you think my friend. Now THAT'S an express pass that I would fork the cash over for. Why yes, feel free to bitch and whine about the Hollywood event, different coast entirely...bitching and whining completely acceptable in this case

  23. I kinda hope the house only have gargoyles, and bats,or other things, not humans, we are going to have enough humans on the other houses as it is, I kinda hope this house is for creatures only, I wanna see some cool costumes, cool designs,

  24. Common misconception about HHN... it has never really been about the scares. The event at its core is one big halloween party. It always has been & always will be. Its main objective is to entertain. Scares come second because not everyone is going to find the same thing scary. Just because it has "fright" or "horror" in the name, doesn't mean it is required to provide such. Over the years it has expanded to provide more "chills than thrills" (depending on the year), but again, since people differ, the event will always cater to "fun".

  25. Thank you, thank you so much. We are all here to have fun not to fight over technical details. However, I am actually a Norse God of Halloween Horror Nights. But you don't have to worship me unless you want to.

  26. Victorian house could have some literary references to it. There are many Gothic Fiction horror stories from that time period.

  27. HEY GUYS! Remember that there are several members here with opinions that may not be as familiar with the event or how things work as some others. We're getting pretty tired of hiding posts because some can't stop acting like assholes to others with the witty remarks and sarcasm. This is a theme park event held for entertainment purposes. You are not some Norse god of Halloween Horror Nights. I'm going to start adding warning points leading to suspensions and bans when I have to remove a post because someone has to whip their e-peen out. Grow up and act your age.

  28. For me, Jason, Freddy, Saw, etc, are overused in general when it comes to Halloween/horror related events. I think because each of them have such huge franchises in general, for me at least, seeing that an event like HHN is just oversaturation. Again, that's just me. I can very easily understand how you can enjoy the IP houses so very much, it's great to be put into the middle of a scene that replicates one of your favorite movies. Which is probably why I'm looking forward to The Walking Dead so much this year. It's my favorite show and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it feels to be engulfed into that environment!

  29. Man where are the UMTH tickets : /
    1 point
  30. It boils down to this, Universal could provide brand new houses every single year, with brand new scarezones, new shows, discount the tickets so they are dirt cheap, add nights, give away free booze and money and people would STILL find something to complain about. I have a very simple solution for the whiners, if you don't think your going to enjoy yourself, then save your money and stay home. That's just fewer people in line for the rest of us to have to contend with.
