Didn't Murdy also say that he wanted to speak to Toby Hooper (Who was at the Eye Gores, might eye add ) and see if he wanted to do the original? Unless this is the first year they decide to put in some new environment that doesn't involve a lair of some sort, I'm just seeing Hostel or TCM likely for the Mummy place venues. Who knows, maybe Murdy will work out some way for TrT to fit in the lower lot venue with the houses and forests. If done right, I think he could. Not to mention it would be doing something out-of-the-box. If you don't think Murdy saying he would like to do TCM or Eli Roth saying he would like to team up with HHN is enough evidence, then what is enough evidence for those two to be put on the possibility list? Besides, that was just some off-the-wall speculation. People, let's face the facts here. I think it's very likely we'll see a repeat, remake, or (hopefully not) maybe even both. Since they're -most likely- adding on a sixth maze, that would be big step in terms of finances. In that case, I may see the big-wigs telling Murdy, "Okay, we'll let you do your extra maze, but we want you to return a maze that everybody wants just to make sure we also appeal to the general public". I could see the return of HoTC a possibility. Then again, there was a lot of heat from the fans about returning Saw, so maybe he'll opt for a return of TCM but in remake form. In that case, I wouldn't mind. Let's also not forget Halloween. That could be repeated too and more likely since that dumb 3D remake is set to come out this Fall. What I ment by that wishful line-up I just posted was that since Roth wanted to do something at this event, I figured Hostel would be most likely with the third movie coming out, it being fit as the Mummy venue maze, and the fact that they could reuse some props, or even sets, and still get away with calling it new maze. Eli Roth doing an original maze....now THAT would be cool. I just wish Hollywood would just let him get moving on that Thanksgiving movie so we can see it and have it as a maze at HHN. Grindhousehero13 Posted January 16, 2011 Share Posted January 16, 2011 I think with Machete getting a movie (Although I dont know how well it did in the box office) that Thanksgiving will get a movie soon but it would do well as an ORIGNAL Maze in the mean time it may help it become a movie just like the orignal HOTC Maze helped Rob with HOTC. as for Hostil Although I didnt care for the movies I think it would work great as a maze (Orlando's Run: Hostil Terrirtory was based off of Hostil, and did pretty well) Im just saying Its not in the lead yet! Just hearing that made me sigh of relief. I don't want Michael to come back right now. I want this year's event to be new. Despite what Grindhouse says, I still think Hostel is a descent a possibility for this year for the reasons DTH just mentioned and that they could reuse some sets from Saw and still get away with it. What bugs me is that if we're (most likely) not going to get TCM or Halloween for repeats then that means the suits will, I'm sure, want Murdy to do a repeat to appeal to the majority. Evil Dead, Trick r Treat, Scream, and an original maze. Let's just hope that sixth one isn't a repeat. However, as much as I'm opposed to a repeat, I wouldn't mind if TCM was the sixth maze in the Saw venue and long as that's the line-up. I Love those movies! That still makes a TrT maze, possibly even a theme, likely since Michael Daughtry can probably twist Murdy's arm into doing it. I Love those movies! Pretty early in the year and Scream hasn't been released yet (it's had some test screenings though) so I think it's about 50/50 chance as of this moment. If there's no SCREAM, I'll just If there's a repeat, I'll Trick 'r Treat actually being done, I'll be surprised like Sorry...
