bubby45
I think a thing house would be awesome . But I would also be totally stoked with another mythology themed house or they could take saws and steams and do a doomsday/mad max-road warrior futuristic end of the world themed combo type house . Don't know about another Thing house since they already did one back in 2007 and they did a Doomsday house as well in 2008. It might only be me but I just don't see them doing another Doomsday house or even another Thing based house even though they were both pretty good... LMFAOsebastian
I would love a scare zone that has to do somewhere along the lines of the wicker man.
Freak
I think Our hope for another Thing house is for the prequel coming out soon, they could advertise the movie like they did Wolfman, I really hope they do it I honestly see it more likely happening in Hollywood, actually since they said that Hollywood will have one maze that is based on a 2011 movie. If there is a Thing house this year at Orlando's event, it will be interesting comparing the two. I have one thing that I want to put in the wishful thinking hat: Sell more energy drinks with no booze in it. That would be very, very nice. Also, a scarezone that could be a mini maze of some sort, possibly with obstacles like hanging chains or whatever, with wooden crate-like walls and fog with strobes. That would be an awesome scarezone. Queen Mary's event in Long Beach, California did something like that at the entrance.

But as much as it huts to write this I don't really see them doing that cause of the problems with the crowds plus the park running normally doing the day. It's small so I don't think crowds would be an issue. I guess that sort of thing would probably fit better in Hollywood or the Terror Tram; though we kind already (had) that with the sheet maze, I guess. I think it would be cool to see a Medieval-themed house that involved an inquisition theme of some sort. I don't think it has been done before and I think that would be an interesting theme for a house. Knott's had one based on the maze on Beowolf and even that looked pretty good. Imagine what HHN could do with it inside of a SS....

You're right, it is/was Rat Run XD my bad. And well the boneyard wasn't really in the way of the main crowds (I think?) so thats why it worked....but were could they do something similar to Rat Run or outdoors maze type scarezone this year or any coming year with how the park looks now. ??? JDW
It was in '05 and only on super peak nights.. it was Jack goading on people running through a chain link maze with loud music. Edited May 16, 2011 by JWFearman
Freak
Speaking of a casino theme, where are the odds in Vegas of getting a maze on The Thing this year? (Bad transition, I know.) It would be awesome to have it inside of soundstage. That way, they can make it as cold as they want to, therefore allowing it to snow in there. Maybe put some wind machines in there. Well I think they have put away the movie houses... At least for a while. Especially seeing as they did the Thing just 4 years ago. Even with the revamp of the movie I think its probably too soon. Also, Cold Blind Terror was supposed to be cold and it was in a sound stage... But it was more of a soapy light inferno. at least when I went through. It was so hot it was uncomfortable. I don't think they can make it too cold for cost reasons.
BruinsFan
Yeah, I don't remember PS:HFTH being very cold either, but then again, NOES would have had to have been cold as well because they shared SS23.
LV-426
I don't know about you guys, but houses in soundstages are always chilly for me, actually, when is really hot outside in the queue lines, getting closer to the entrance was always great because of all the nice air that was coming out, sure, the houses are not freezing, but, i've always felt a little chilly in those houses (and a lot colder than tents anyway) Edited May 16, 2011 by black mask

As I recall, in 'Dead Silence: The Curse of Mary Shaw,' the first part where you're going through the cemetery was quite cold. For my ideas: 1. Possibly another 'The Thing' House. 2. I would gladly pay extra to see a 'Trick 'r Treat' House. The movie ruled, and several of the environments in it could fit perfectly into a House (Especially the abandoned quarry, and Mr. Kreeg's dark house). 3. Kind of going along with the general theme from 2008, a House centering around childhood fears, like the monster under the bed or the Boogeyman. 4. Making 'Saws 'n Steam' into a full House. 5. For kind of the scary/ funny House this year, I'm recalling a funny conversation I once had with someone while in line for one of the Houses in which the queue line went through Barney's Playland. Looking at how surprisingly spooky the Barney statue appears late at night, someone (Maybe me) had the idea for a House centered around a "Barney"- esque kids' show in which the already mentally unstable man who played the show's main character abruptly snaps and goes on a homicidal rampage throughout the studio. Cody
I've certainly been in cold houses. I distinctly remember the chill in Dead Silence as I stepped into the graveyard.
JDW
Well, I'm not the best at temperature guaging being that anything above 72 is hot to me (I'm a bit of a furnace). I think it depends on when you go through as well. If there are 20 or 200 people in the house would impact the temperature quite a bit. Now that you guys said it I do remember Dead silence having a cooler feeling. But HFTH and Cold blind Terror (which you would expect to be cold) were both hot when I went through. The latter being so hot I just wanted out. Nightcrawler, I like the ideas! (especially the kids show turned homicidal). I'm not against a Thing house (that house freaked me out for some reason) I just don't see it happening so soon. Jakemeister
I don't think it's the houses trying to be cold I just think it's the soundstages being A/Ced which feels especially cool when you've been in 85 degree weather. As Jeramy has pointed out some houses you would expect to be freezing weren't exactly. I remember Home for the Holidays some nights being quite chilly and others being quite warm and I think that is directly correlated to it sharing a soundstage with another house and traffic flow. BruinsFan
Dead Silence and some of the other mazes in which remember it being "cooler than normal" were in SS22. Just an observation.
Tman875
I agree that Dead Silence was quite cool as was the original Castle Vampyre (according to those who went in this house). I also think that these colder houses have all been in the same SS as BruinesFan pointed out. Edited May 17, 2011 by Tman875
Victim08
I don't know about you guys but for me Body Collectors: Collections from the Past ('08) was a pretty cold house....I remember going in and saying "it's cold!" haha XD
