  1. Just because i'm an ass.... I figured i'd post this Screamscape Update - (2/13/12) Screamscape Update - (2/16/12) Here is that Penn & Teller article http://www.insidethe...lebrity-survey/ Penn's Tweet on Twitter: As you can see, Screamscape posted the rumor of P&T back in February. Then 'Inside The Magic' posted an article regarding a survey that included both Alice Cooper and P&T. Then of course we have the actual tweet from Penn himself about their meetings with Universal. And just for kicks, here is a random article claiming that we were getting TWD as a house along with Alice Cooper... http://acomicbookblog.com/2012/04/walking-dead-prison-themed-maze-coming-to-universal-studios/ That article was initially uploaded on April 24th. But Screamscape reported the rumblings of TWD on April 20th. (4/20/12)

  2. What has the Undertaker done for horror? Honestly. Let's take this further though: What has Arbor Day and Easter done for Horror before HHN? What has Bill and Ted done for horror? They're a staple. You're automatically assuming that just because someone doesn't do horror they can't do horror. And that is the wrong way to look at it. Anything can become scary done right.

  3. Oh so its a dumb idea for someone of celebrity status to come in and create an original house? Hmmm... funny. It has worked for Hollywood since 1998. Clive Barker (1998, 1999, 2000), Rob Zombie (1999, 2000), WWF's The Undertaker (2000), Alice Cooper (2011). Oddly enough, you have no idea how good or bad a house would be if Penn & Teller (or anyone else for that matter) were to create it. Just because you don't like the idea of it happening, doesn't mean it isnt true.

  5. Anyone else hope they just play the theme song on a loop in the house...

  6. Why exactly is it a waste of a house? seriously, i'd love to hear a fully detailed explanation on why you think this. As far as i'm concerned, with that type mentality, any of this years rumored houses could be considered "a waste of a house". "Ugh TWD!? Really? MORE zombies?... what a complete waste of a house" You really seem to have a very limited and very narrow point of creative view towards things like HHN. You probably are one of those that have it in their mind that if something isn't directly horror based, it isnt scary or it doesnt belong at HHN. How about broadening your horizons a little and expanding your skewed vision to thinking "outside of the box". I guarantee you that if HHN limited itself to your way of thinking, the event wouldnt be on its 22nd year... and Knott's wouldn't be celebrating its 40th haunt event.

  7. I see where you're coming from Mr.Grim. Being a huge Silent Hill fan I would be heartbroken if the characters weren't on point. Especially since many of the characters have distinct looks/movements/attitudes. I have faith that A&D along with Konami will pull it off. I wouldn't be surprised if Uni contacted Patrick Tatopoulos (the creature effects guy who did the movie)

  8. LOVE IT! :-) They should have him randomly hit a concession stand, grab some popcorn....and of course the whole time Lori would be asking "Where's Carl? Has anyone seen Carl?" Seriously, the world is being overrun by zombies and you can't keep an eye on your kid? (You hear me Carol, you see what happend to Sophia...) He was a complete douche bag wasn't he? I so wish Rick would've put a shank in him sooner than he did...

  9. Then, fellow guests - prepare your "22" pendants and prepare to be eaten or beaten.

  10. They need to cast someone as Carl, and have the actor randomly wonder from the house out into the scarezone and then appear randomly in other houses, and then back in this house, just randomly walking through silent hill and the other zones,

  11. Perse, we need to petition for a "Beat the Everloving Shit Out of Shane" prop for this house... Mr. Grim, I've often thought...if I was left alone with Lori, I'd pull a Shane, shoot her in the leg and let one of the walkers do their thing....LOL Poor Carl, if he grows up to be normal on all fronts it'll be a miracle...LOL

  13. That would not be a bad thing at all. She is the only person on the show I want to smack hard. Upside the head. With a baseball bat. Everyone else has their shit together, but Lori just seems to be caught up in so much angst about everything. Hey here's an idea, if you hadn't slept with that douche bag Shane and could possibly be pregnant with his kid you might not feel like such an insufferable pain in the ass. Rick's too good for her. **End of rant** Could we have a Shane prop that we get to beat the shit out of too? He annoyed me from the very first time I saw him on screen.

  14. Actually I would like the show more if I didn't hate most of the characters. Daryll was cool and Rick was.. but half these people I'd want to kill myself.

  15. I would love to see a "Laurie" prop getting torn apart by walkers... SHE is the most annoying person on that show, it not television in general

  16. This is the house that has me psyched for this year. I'm so glad to see that Uni is taking pop culture and infusing it into the event this year. TWD is the perfect catalyst for an amazing house...here's hoping it is going to be as mind blowing as the hype suggests it will be.

  17. the burning barn could be easy in theory...they could do effects like The Orfanage: Ashes to Ashes...which i believe was my fave house of HHN XX

  18. It is possible to do a house based on magic and illusion without having scareactors just standing around doing magic tricks.

  19. Ding ding ding. We have a winner. However, the branding will get very apparent. And Karras, just like every year, proof is what I have been told but can't share. If I share, then I won't be told in the future. However, I've been told by three different sources Penn and Teller were very involved with a house even before Jimmy's video. If there's one thing I've realized about HHN, it's where there's smoke there's fire.

  20. I hope it's an apocalyptic theme. It can work. I don't like Silent Hill and The Walking Dead - cash grabs and not creative. The design was created already through the series'. I would love to see scare zones that are right outside of the house entrances with a nice transition between the two. For example, a snowy/fog ridden zone for Silent Hill, then zombies that are on the other side of the fog.

  21. Where's the proof for it? I'm sorry but a person claiming to have ‘sources’ isn’t enough for me. Plus there's a great difference between a P&T show and a house. One making sense and the other the dumbest idea I've heard happening to HHN since the tent over IOA. I know you’re the speculation police but you've been wrong in past years.

  23. The monkey from Alladin. Actually, ABU is an "Active Back-Up," a position that can fill in for regular performers who aren't there.

  24. I wonder if the deteriorating projections can be used in close quarters. You hear the siren, the music changes, sounds, and the walls start to deteriorate. In the distance you can hear Pyramid Head dragging the giant knife across the floor. Maybe a room where the lights turn on and off, or noise...filled with nurses re-animating and becoming still, you have to walk through them. Oh a girl can dream

  25. This is my usual... It is more or less the signature drink found during UNI's annual HHN & Mardi Gras events.... only on steroids & not a pre-mix. Whats in it: - Malibu Rum - Captain Morgan Rum - Myers Rum - Orange Juice - Pineapple Juice - Grenadine - Monster Energy Drink
