Dark Legions: Walkers

Exactly! I was wondering the same thing about what kind of scares they would get...since most of us can walk faster than a zombie shuffles, it wouldn't be very scary. Or challenging.

If they hired people for this zone and for one reason or another changed it up, those people will just be utilized in a different area...hiring them was already part of the budget for the event. :)

They haven't cut us down a zone.

Last year, 6 named zones. This year 5 named Legions and The Iniquitus. So 6.

The Walkers were never fully "revealed". We got a name with no description, that wasn't on the site for long.

What is being lamented is a possibility based on spec and incomplete data.

We've heard there are going to be scareactors at the front of the park. Some who have said they don't appear to be apart of the Vampires or Rat Lady escorts. This could make a 7th area.

Also considering the theme mentioned on the survey and the Walkers shown in the commercial, maybe everyone is jumping the gun a little.

Maybe Universal couldn't list the Walkers as one of their legions because of AMC. That doesn't mean zombies won't be in the streets. The street experience is described in terms of the legions on the map. The map also doesn't mention the Rat Lady or her escorts.

Until it is confirmed through someone saying they are no longer cast as a "walker" or a "walker" is not seen at the event, I think the best bet is to wait and see.

I really really hope this is the case, and I hope all my freaking out was for nothing lol, I hope they have the zombies in the front of the park,

it is just kinda weird for them to do all this hiding, makes it seem like there won't be,

but if what you are saying is ring then it will be good,

There is an article on the Orlando Sentinel's website covering the Walking Dead house. At the end of the article they talk about the ending scene being the barn, but then they say something that caught my eye.

The barn, with burning smell, ends the house — unless you count the hordes of walkers outside in the new free-form scare zone at this year’s HHN.

Ill let you guys ponder.

This is so confusing, didn't they transfer actors originally in the walker horde to other positions?

they also said on facebook to one of the posts that, there Will Be a Walker experience Outside of TWD house

I have no idea what they meant, but it goes along with this new story about the Hordes of walkers outside that the article is talking about,

that was not long ago either,

this makes it sound like we are getting in fact a zombie horde outside, yet it will not be listed in the maps or even announced

What if they switched the Warriors to NY area, and the Walkers to SF?

If not, oh well, i'm just glad we're gonna see some walkers outside the house :3

when I read that the warriors were going there, it did not make much sense, why would you end a zombie house with a dragon warrior scarezone

and the news story talks about a roaming horde, their answer on facebook was about a roaming horde too, so I don't know what is going on

I noticed this as well...and obviously considering how the episode "Beside the Dying Fire" ended it would make perfect sense. The barn burning down behind us as we enter into the hoard that was swarming the farm as everyone fled the scene. ;)

I'll ponder this in the best possible scenario... B)

Dont know if anyone saw the last 2 photos uploaded by Designing the Fear? http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=453232984721601&set=a.444794398898793.105102.170325193012383&type=3&theater

Somehow I dont think that a bus or a car is going to fit into the whole 'warrior setting'. I think we will be seeing a horde of walkers outside disaster for sure!

TOTAL pipe dream and most likely NOT possible....but since the event hasn't started yet and it's all about speculation:

The RV always looked like it was stuck in an odd spot in the Disaster queue. Like even in pics/vids from last week, it looks just stuck there with nothing like fake trees or anything around it. Imagine if they wheeled it out prior to the event (not each night, they just haven't done it yet) and put it out there. With characters from the show on the roof with shotguns or whatever (this didn't really happen on the show, so it's creative liberty and flies in the face of the 'licensensed characters in/outside of the house' argument) fighting off a horde of zombies that swarm the RV. The crowd of us gather to watch, and then the zombies "notice" us and come running. That would be AWESOME. The characters climb down, stomp around with shot guns firing every so often to scare the $#!+ out of you, then climb back up on top and it starts all over again.

It's like a Scare Zone and a mini-show all in one.

<<Totally uniformed wishful thinking speculation over>>

“We have literally hundreds of people cast as walkers” says show director Patrick Braillard “You’re going to see a horde of walkers at certain times completely surround you.”

Found that on behind the thrills.

That's awesome....

Was wondering if when they do the shift changes, instead of marching all the scaractors back to the "rest area" in a conga line, if they'd just let them loose on the zone with a provision to be back to the rest room in xx minutes. Would be awesome to have "random" influxes of people...and for the shift changes times that inevitably leak to help you schedule your time in the zone!

You're not TOO far off, Oysterhead. The cast changes for both the zone and the house play an important part in providing a true zombie horde experience.

Because of how the streets are done this year, there's little worry about exiting The Walking Dead into a horde of Yakuza.

I'll give you a hint: the locations given for each "zone" don't mean what they look like they mean.

When do you guys think we'll get some info on the times for cast changes? That way we know what time to hit up this zone to see the 75 walkers.

As of now we know that it's every 45 minutes

As long as you know when the event opens, you'll be able to do the math.

but math is hard

lol, this sucks, I don't want to miss them, I know it might be easy to predict,

but when you are there in the park, a lot of times you are in a rush to do everything and you forget about times, a lot of times I wanted to see Bill and Ted and I just forgot to get there on time, in Universal between Lines and bathroom breaks and dinner breaks, you just forget lol,

I will probably have to just get there and wait until whenever it happens
