My HHN Sleeve (work in progress)

Recommended Posts

I've been going to HHN for the last 13 years coming down from Massachusetts every year and I have wanted to show my love for the event in the form of a tattoo. I committed to doing a sleeve when I found an excellent tattoo artist who specializes in horror, Julio Rodriguez who works out of Hope Gallery in New Haven Ct. My decisions on content are not based on trying to have an overall summary of HHN, but are my personal favorites. I do have plans to continue HHN content on to my chest and back, so much of what people will take as major omissions may come up later. I only have so much area and flesh, but I'm working on it and I'm quite pleased with the results so far. As you will see from the pictures, I'm only about half way complete so I'll post more pics as I get work done. Please let me know what you think. Enjoy!

Well, thank you every one. Julio is certainly the man. I'm quite happy with his work and look forward to future sittings. I'll be sure to update this thread as time goes by. Here is a link for more of Julio's work;

WOW!! That is AMAZING. I love it! Can't wait to see it when it's all done. I'm excited for you. I'm too chicken to get any tattoos, plus I don't think my boyfriend would appreciate it. The Jack one's awesome. I can't wait to see how Mary's turns out. Keep us update with plenty of photos.

Why would your boyfriend care? It's your body and you can do what you want with it. I would never tell my wife she couldn't get a tattoo. I want to see the Mary one too.

Hello everyone,

Here is an update on my HHN sleeve by Julio Rodriguez. I had a sitting on Friday 3/4 and sat for 4 1/2 hrs to get Bloody Mary started on my tricep. Please note that this peice is not done and alot more detail, color and highlighting needs to go into it on 4/5. Until then, here is a link for an updated folder of pics. Let me know what you think.

Wow, is that amazing. I'm from the New England area as well (Connecticut boy) and got my Terra Cruenta tattoo (down my spine) at a local joint. If i knew there was such an artist in my state, i would have gone to him. That sleeve looks amazing!

Hey gang,

I had another sitting this past Tuesday and here is the link for the folder with the new pics. We finished up Bloody Mary on my tricep and then started work on my bicep. I only added pics of Bloody Mary as the bicep work is still incomplete. Let me know what you think.

I never understood people's fascination with tattoos, but that having been said, this is a really good piece of work.

That's actually quite amazing. The detail in it is beautiful, especially in Mary. Great tattoo artist, whoever they are.

And I think it's really neat that you got a tattoo of it. Tattoos are so important and I like to see someone openly display their love for something, weather it be a person, movie, event, etc.
