  1. Loving the avatar! :)

  2. Hm. Debating trying to go for Triad again tonight, plus Order of the Four (haven't done that one yet). I don't have Express for tonight, but I hope getting there for stay and scream will allow me to get those seven houses kicked out before the lines get insane. At least I have my 7 in 1 badge. And I hope to support my fellow Strengoit in my own little way. On another note, I despise the Morphan game. So, so very much. After 2 hours of play, I have - 4 wins? I don't think so, Tim. Mayhap next time they can cut down on the animation time by, I dunno, 90%
  3. I especially appreciate this summation, and while we don't quite agree on everything (who does?), I think you've given voice to my general opinion of the event at this stage. I hadn't noticed before about the gore, but now that you've mentioned it I do agree with you on that. Thanks for the overview!
  4. I haven't found the past clown houses we've had to be successful for me (MM notwithstanding). A truly scary clown house would be interesting at this stage. And I don't think clowns are funny. They're scary. I think they are damn scary. Just ask the last folks in Penn & Teller. (Ha! Brought it back on topic! :P )
  5. Walking Dead, was that right around opening? I was right behind someone I thought might be you, but since we've never met I didn't want to do one of those "sorry, wrong person" deals.
  6. Back from Thursday: House of Horrors - my best run through yet. Fabulous double team in Wolfman and CFTBL. Frankenstein's monster got right in my face for an excellent scare. And the finale keeps getting better - EVERY monster in my face, one after the other (and I heart you Phantom!) Alice Cooper - repetitive, I know - but ceiling guy (didn't get me, but got the gentleman in front of me GOOD), the Jock (I missed you too!), Alice in Frankenstein, and my beloved Showman (I applaud you more!). All of you here give me great scares and fun, and I'm having a blast - thanks!! Got an excellent scare from a disturbingly familiar street walker (lol). Just what I needed at just the right time! Also had my best run yet in Silent Hill. I wheeled myself through this time instead of walking, and I think it put me at just the right level to get targeted almost all the way through. Although I was concerned for the Boogeyman that ran straight into the foot rest - I hope that didn't give him a limp! Now if only I can get targeted by Pyramid Head. Actually, I'm now thinking of wheeling myself through all the houses (except the ones that have inclines like Dead End) - not only less painful than walking, but also helps to make one scareactor bait! Events conspired against me last night and I wasn't able to be there. I DO plan on being there tonight, and since I don't have Express for this night, I expect lots and lots of street action. Weather permitting - please! Thanks as always everyone!
  7. I don't want to dis the scanner issue too much - they are trying something new, with the potential to be incredibly cool and fun, and I really want to encourage them to continue to provide this type of interaction and inventiveness. With that said - yes, it is really frustrating and tiring to do all the running around, scanning at somewhat late hours (if you have an important meeting the next morning ) and then reap no "reward" for it. I hope they can exterminate the bugs before the event comes to a close. And also take the issues they've run into this year to create even bigger and better interaction for us 'atics in the future.
  8. I did the Triad starting when HOH opened; I got 25 points for each swipe at a house, but no badge or bonus for completing the Triad.
  9. Last night was the best run through I've had yet here; the cast continues to amp it up. Great job!
  10. Have to edit. All the houses, to me, have merit this year, but I'm sticking with Alice Cooper. Casts continue to ramp up, and the interaction I get here is just fabulous.
  11. For me I'm not sure if it's fandom. I wouldn't have considered myself an AC fan before a couple of months ago; I started listening to his music in preparation for the event, and because of that I've become a fan. But hey, we all have different likes and dislikes. This, exactly. I find over the years that my long term enjoyment of a house comes from the interaction with the scareactors. Havoc had a somewhat re-used setup, but the cast absolutely tore it all up. Forsaken had beautiful sets; but once the cast figured out how to work with those green eyes, that's when the house blew me away every night. That's the experience I have with this house - I'm having such a blast with the creativity and energy of the actors I can't wait to go through again and again. And ladies and gentlemen, it was great to see you all again last night!
  12. As someone who pushes an empty wheelchair, and sometimes wheels herself around, I've had no lack of scares either in the streets or the houses. I do understand the actors' concerns about the young people, though. Possibly it was just a coincidence of timing - but I'll bet you get some interaction on your next visit! Thanks for the review - I enjoy hearing other people's thought and experiences.
  13. While Dead End has moved way up on my list, this is currently still my favorite house this year. This is 10% because I just love Alice so much, and 90% because of the interaction with the scareactors. This gets more fun every time I go through - thanks to all of you working it for showing me so much energy and creativity. I look forward to four more weekends of madness! (And please ask the PTB to turn the music up!)
  14. Because of my arrival times at the event, I'm pretty much always hitting cast A. For you or your tagout- please know my heart belongs to the showman. (And whomever is cast B, I will have to check out as well, because two showmen are even better than one).
  15. I'm not sure if I'll be there on Thursday or not, but Friday and Saturday for sure I will be In Search Of the Warriors in the park. Now that I have a rough idea of when and where they manifest, I need to get my own extended eyeful of what everyone is so excited about.
  16. I don't get nightly Express, but I do get it as part of the FFPPE. I also go early to take advantage of the shorter lines as well. But time is a factor for me, since I usually poop out pretty early, so the additional cost of express over the regular FFPP is really worth it to me. The cost is definitely tricky (I'm one of them that saves up all year for the admission), but over the course of many nights, it breaks down into a small amount per night for me, and makes a huge difference in the quality of my experience. I think the value of Express will probably be different for each of us depending on our situations. And to try to be a little OT, as of Friday night I was still seeing some pretty bodacious lines in Express. I think both sets of queues will give us Nightmares this year
  17. House of Horrors - EVERYONE in the finale got me. Everyone. Love. Alice Cooper - cast A never fails to delight me. Special props to Dad, the jock (we may start dancing soon!) and Alice in the second hospital scene (heart you!) Love love love the finale - I think the Showman may have won our gesticulating contest. And I still say that is the most polite mental patient I've ever met. Also a special mention to the Ops gentleman in Black Widow for always giving me a smile, nod, and pin light on the floor so I don't run over his foot. P&T - poor Chuck had the dry heaves - feel sorry for him. Got nailed in a three way in the slot machine room - I know they're there, and they still startle me. The chef got me - TWICE. And can't get enough of Elvis (I see you too!) Oh, the clown - that clown. So terribly friendly, and yet I'm still cleaning up the pee stains. Really enjoyed my runs through TWD, although I had TERRIBLE timing. Not a blame, just the folks in front and behind me were popular targets. But the energy continues to increase in here, and the actors do a great job of balancing aggression with the general mindlessness that is walker-ness. I so love the hospital scene. Dead End, a couple of great runs. I love how the photographer is always ready for me. So many points to the shirt I'm really losing track. Gothic - always a favorite. In the bell tower - hey, I brought the honey dijon on Thursday but didn't have any takers. I guess I should have saved it for Friday - Friday is two for one heart specials. Also many special props to the gargoyle behind the drop door - you just have the best aggression! In the streets, loved the extended interaction with the ermine collared Vampire in NY. Apparently I have extremely aromatic blood - the creep factor here was perfect! Also got to spend a little more time with my favorite Beast in Hollywood. I just need to move from the fog if I'm going for a photo Rat Lady's escort - between the staring, pointing, and stalking, I'm getting a major creepout complex. I loved running into you again! And I enjoyed watching the Warriors stalking and scaring everyone else. I don't seem to be getting much direct interaction from them, but I've decided they must be frightened of wheelchairs. (Okay... that should do the trick ) The nights continue to get wilder - great job to everyone, I'm enjoying your work so much!!
  18. It did recognize my card at all the houses last night - I was able to confirm that when I got home and checked the website. Maybe your card is hinky? If you're still having issues, maybe it wouldn't hurt to check with rentals again to see if the card still works, or maybe just confirm that it is correctly linked to your account. Good luck!
  19. I've had the least interaction thus far this year from this legion and the beasts. I need to work on my timing and patience a little more, since I really want to catch what sounds like an amazing crew!
  20. The ones that stumble the least are the walkers.
  21. Yes, although I was uncertain if the second one mentioned was "real" or not - I saw no motion as I passed.
  22. Understood and agreed about the Express lines. It is still worth it to me to cut down the time, and we definitely appear to have crowd issues this year. But given the wait times for the regular line, I have a feeling those lines will just get longer
  23. Another one from the AC queue: Disco Bloodbath Boogie Fever from Welcome 2 My Nightmare album.
