  1. This may sound awfully hypocritical of me as I was the biggest source of most of the leakage this year about the event, cryptic as I may have been, but I will be staying away from these forums a bit as there are now way too many things that would, "ahem" spoil too much of the houses for me. Especially such things as actual walkthrough videos! I prefer to wait until I have walked through the houses at the event before I look upon such things. But once the event has actually started and I have experienced the houses and "street experiences" first hand, I will be back posting as always. Oh yes, I will not elaborate any further, but signs have already been seen of some of the fun in games in store for us! Where comfortable shows.... especially on Thursdays... P.S. i will nevertheless thill be posting a bit on next Tuesday, as that day is quite important to me.

  2. I don't know if people are just bored, afraid of change, or what... but it seems like there is a ton of worrying this year over the unknown. Al that worrying and yet it is looking like an awesome year. I just don't understand when people complain that the event has become complacent but then turn around and freak out when things change. Regardless, BTT did not go into HOH so they don't know. Common sense says it would not be a "crawl on your belly" thing. Most likely it will be just like Death Row at HOS. The duck will probably be about 4.5 feet. Plus ther eis a bypass. If they try it and it doesn't work it will mostly like be bypassed anyway but I'm happy they are trying new things.

  3. This is my most anticipated house and everything I'm hearing is making me soooo happy. "Duck and crouch" areas, the one time being only 5ft 1in is going to pay off.

  4. I understand this so well. I got trapped in a tree in The Hallow. Remember everyone, if it's still light out where sunglasses or an eye patch or you may become part of the scenery. The brighter it is outside the darker the house will seem.

  5. Mr. Black, I understand everyone is entitled to an opinion. But you haven't even been to the event and are already so highly critical of things you haven't even seen in person. At least that's what I've seen in the majority of the threads on the forum. Even here, you're judging a costume on a mannequin that will probably look nothing like it does on an actual moving person. I suggest instead of being so negative about things, go to the event first, and then give a review.

  6. I just enjoyed how this went from YEAH! LOVE THIS CONCEPT to silver fish. I feel like I want a costume like this so I can terrify the entire park single handed. Muhahaha

  7. Exaggerating? So you DON'T think we'll actually be going underwater with the Creature...?

  8. I personally think Behind The Thrills are exaggerating the crawling through caves part. Crawling implies going through it on hands and knees and I don't see that happening. I'm guessing we'll have to duck or crouch at most but I hope they made the roof above our head padded lol. Involuntary jumps are going to mean a lot of heads hitting it

  10. I'm sure they will tweak it. I remember the first few runs through the Hallow were so dark I ran into walls, cornered myself, tried to walk out a emergency exit, walked behind the set, and bumped into people in front of me. But they lightened it up on subsequent runs.

  11. From TJ Mannarino in the Behind the Thrills interview: "In a few days you should see something that will bring you to a unique aspect of story or interaction."

  12. That's the thing that made me LIKE the movie. Fighting supernatural spirits with a lead pipe is fun in a video game, but in a movie, that would just seem ridiculous. The movie was basically a Haunted House flick...where the house was actually an entire town. This lady was just Jane Doe and if she started picking up stuff and beating back Hell's Minion's like she was Master Chief that would have been ridiculous. But delivering on the sets, characters, and the atmosphere of the games but having that work in tandem with a story EVERYBODY can related to: A mother trying to find her missing daughter. I liked it. And VERY much looking forward to this house since we know there's the Siren (which is freaky as hell) and the nurses (which are awesome as hell) and hopefully a TON of fog....makes me a happy camper. And I'm not watching any of the previews or walkthroughs, so what I said above might very well be inaccurate, but it's what others have said

  13. I don't think anyone is questioning the ability of the scareactors, I think we were just taken back by a few of the costumes revealed...probably not what we all expected or envisioned. After all these years, I leave my final opinions after I see everything for myself...

  14. The first "Silent Hill" movie, ugh...I couldn't believe I wasted two hours of my life on that POS. Like you said Eileen, the effects were great and I think overall it will make a great house, but the storyline was a snoozer. I have no intention to waste another two hours of my life watching the second film. I will however waste 2 minutes of my life walking through the house

  15. I could see the waterfall effect from Saws and Steam in the Creature room possibly.

  16. The underwater scene could use a hallway with a plexiglass tank with the walls going about half way up on each side. Fill them with water, then have the path go between them and the creature reach out and possibly splash. With the right lighting and effects... This could work great.

  17. If anything, HHN is usually less crowded on Halloween than on a normal night. Especially this year, since Halloween lands on a Wednesday. It's a fun night to go though!

  19. You're not TOO far off, Oysterhead. The cast changes for both the zone and the house play an important part in providing a true zombie horde experience. Because of how the streets are done this year, there's little worry about exiting The Walking Dead into a horde of Yakuza. I'll give you a hint: the locations given for each "zone" don't mean what they look like they mean.

  20. I have confidence in every single horde. Don't make your opinions before you've seen what our men and women on the streets can do.

  23. I don't see what Penn & Teller have to do with scary but they are here this year lol. I understand you dont think the costume is scary but don't forget we haven't seen what face makeup or masks they will be wearing yet. That may be the horror element, who knows?

  24. Personally I kinda of like their costume at least it's original. The reason for the gloves and neck band of course is to hide where the tattoo top ends and help sell the illusion that they are real tattoos. Saying that I don't really mind if Mr Black or anyone else posts an opposing opinion as long as its CONSTRUCTIVE. We all have different views and that's what makes the world an interesting place. If we all agreed then there would be no point in posting and there would be nothing to discuss lol. Let's just keep it reasonable and friendly

  27. Haha, that reminds me of a time at HOS a a few years back. It was very early in the day, and my fiancée and I were the only ones in a house. At one point it was so dark, I literally walked face first into a wall. After about 30 seconds of confusion, a scare actor turned a light on and directed us on our way. Good times.

  34. I agree! I've been to 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011 and 2006 is still the most memorable. I often wonder though if that is because I can still watch it online though. I am the same way, I only seem to remember the Green Hornet and Papa Smurf joke. And in 2010 all I remember is The Count / Twillight joke
