They haven't cut us down a zone. Last year, 6 named zones. This year 5 named Legions and The Iniquitus. So 6. The Walkers were never fully "revealed". We got a name with no description, that wasn't on the site for long. What is being lamented is a possibility based on spec and incomplete data. We've heard there are going to be scareactors at the front of the park. Some who have said they don't appear to be apart of the Vampires or Rat Lady escorts. This could make a 7th area. Also considering the theme mentioned on the survey and the Walkers shown in the commercial, maybe everyone is jumping the gun a little. Maybe Universal couldn't list the Walkers as one of their legions because of AMC. That doesn't mean zombies won't be in the streets. The street experience is described in terms of the legions on the map. The map also doesn't mention the Rat Lady or her escorts. Until it is confirmed through someone saying they are no longer cast as a "walker" or a "walker" is not seen at the event, I think the best bet is to wait and see.3 points

My head feels like it's going to explode even when I just read the random posts on that page sometimes. I wonder how some of the posters manage to figure out how to even turn their computer on considering how completely moronic their commentary truly is....2 points

If he's a superfan due to being on facebook and making lots of comments, I wonder what they consider any of us!2 points

Just to clear some of this up, I've heard that the walker horde is still part of the event, it's just not listed at all.2 points

While obviously I think everyone has their own opinion before the event even begins, there's no reason to think that just because the Walker legion was removed from the website that that will be the downfall of the event and be the catalyst for future cuts. This event isn't even remotely set in stone going into opening weekend, not by a long shot. It is continuously tweaked the first several weeks of operation. So don't something like the Walker legion being removed from the website be a red flag meaning anything at all. Go with the flow...this year is going to be an amazing one and in two weeks we'll all see why2 points

Except that we have no idea how much planning there actually was for it. All we have is a graphic without a description that was taken down in a couple hours. Is it also possible that they put them in the house in a mob scene? We really just don't know. Personally, I'm done worrying about the event. It's very clear this year is blazing a new direction, and I'll hold off on an opinion til I'm there to see it myself.2 points

I don't think he's a ploy, sadly enough. lol His page was made in 2009... that would be a lot of planning for something Hal Geluck-ish. And yeah, I don't really read the comments on the HHN fb too often, but decided to today... And will probably decide not to tomorrow.1 point

I guess if the rest of us didn't have to work all day long, we could be on Facebook 24/7 posting comments and be considered "superfans" too...1 point

Seriously... this whole thing irks me. HES a "superfan" ? I don't even know the guy! I hope its a plant... another failed maketing ploy.1 point

So perhaps, as opposed of sticking together as the other legions will, they'll disperse in-between the other legions to alleviate "dead space" in between the marked-off areas? Perhaps merging with Iniquitous?1 point

I was in the park yesterday for RTU. Mostly all the stuff DTF posted. But I got a pic of the Alice Cooper facade, not the whole thing but you can see his face like in the designs. I'll post it when I get back home tomorrow or so.1 point

I'm a bad HHN, the only year I have a shirt from is 1996. I may have to just suck it up and deal with the red gel lettering this year because I actually do like the design for this and since I'm a major fan of The Walking Dead, I'd love to have one. I'll just make sure to not put this one in the dryer.1 point

I'd like to see a house shirt with a picture on the front instead of words. I love the shirts from the 90's that just have a big image on the front and "I Survived" with the year on the back. And when are we ever gonna see a scare zone shirt... obviously not this year. D'oh!1 point

Guys, a zombie horde is not going to make or break this event. There's still a dedicated house, and plenty of other things to make for a great experience. And the consistent theming of the entire park is very intriguing. I too am excited to see how all this plays out with a graveyard growing up into the very park itself.1 point

I love how it went from everybody screaming the sky was falling and we were getting like 4 houses and no scarezones (OK, that's an exaggeration) to everybody being so happy when they announced the houses, back to the gloom and doom from a pre-release map. Having said that, I'm actually quite excited for this year. The 2007 "the entire park is a scare zone" was a let down, but being the sucker than I am, I'm thinking they might pull it off this year. Having no Icon or Theme for the houses doesn't bother me...but it appears we're getting a THEME for the zones (perhaps even a late icon or icons if they play up a leader for the zones). Others have said the Cemetary props all over are getting redundant, but I like it. If the props are as good as the ones in the pics so far, and they continue to add to them, and then have the wheeled out ones and make the entire park a resurrected cemetery I think that would be amazing. Especially if they have props and fog in places that there are no scareactors, that would be an awesome red herring and let your guard down for the next area. I've always been one of the few who enjoyed just walking around the zones more than the houses (OK, houses kick ass...but you spend about 30min a night inside them where you probably spend about 2 hours in the Scarezones...I think that's my subconscious reason for that claim). Trying to tie IPs and various proprietary houses together with an overarching theme doesn't seem to work for me...but to tie together the other 90% of the park with a singular theme excites me. Of course, I was singing the praises of 2007 (I know, the IPs were to blame) so I might be the first one in line to bitch about the zones in the event that they suck....but still holding out hope we have a unified park and scarezone theme that blows me away1 point

1. Silent Hill 2. Gothic 3. Walking Dead 4. Alice Cooper 5. House Of Horrors 6. Dead End 7. Penn & Teller To be honest there is not much between my top 5. Dead End I just don't know enough about to form an opinion. P&T is easily last for me even though In Between was my favorite house last year. I'm not a fan of them and I just can't get excited about it. If it wasn't 3D I wouldn't care at all but maybe it will surprise me.1 point

Spoke for just a few seconds with both Penn & Teller at the meet and greet after their show last Saturday evening in Las Vegas. They confirmed with simple " yes" answers, when asked that they will appear at HHN. Didn't mention when and din't have an opprotunity to ask any other questions. Secomd time seeing their show in Vegas. If their maze at HHN is half as good as their show, we are all in for a special treat.1 point
