  1. They just posted it: Very clearly Max Shreck's Nosferatu, imo. It has to be the DE/Uni Monsters house, albeit this version isn't "technically" Dracula.

  3. Yes it has been decided...unfortunetly by universal who hasn't let us know just yet. We will know in a few days lol...

  4. Not so much the theme as it is the main focus of marketing. An over arching theme is still very possible but it may only be targeted to the fans on the more fanatic side such as us. Either using our forum or through LT.

  5. "it's not of this world..." and "it's time He comes home" E. T. Is totally our Icon!!!! Someone had to do it. True spec: Not of this world makes me think of Terra Cruentas, or Mary's Mirror world. Then with the capitalization of He, I feel we should know who He is. And now I'll I can think is it better not be that damn clown.

  6. Sounds like it could be the beginning of our storyline!

  7. Two of the clues so far, in addition to the pic. The foolish will not only suffer the consequences, but they will see the house for what it truly is…A horrible place where imagination and reality have combined to create a living nightmare. By day all is normal, but as the darkness of night falls, the creatures guarding this sanctuary come alive to protect this sacred place from intruders.

  8. What if, and I'm going out into a place where i may sound ridiculous, what if we as the fanatic following fan base that we are get an unprecedented amount of control of the event through these "games". I'm not sure how and I know it ties in with the SZ's. I mean in 2008 we got Lt and that felt like an awesome treat for all of us that are HHN fanatics. What if its something different this year, maybe LT will be involved , maybe not, but I can help but feel it will be centered around us, as a fanbase and a team.

  9. This may mean very little to anyone since it's coming from a first time poster (I was, however, active on The Vault for some time before some unfortunate occurances), but I heard some interesting info from a friend at the parks earlier this week that coincides with all the "digging" and "buried" clues. Someone he knows that works in Entertainment did a video shoot with Universal where he was buried alive and had to crawl out. Could be either for the commerical, or possibly queue videos, or maybe something entirely different. Anyways just figured it was interesting considering all the clues about digging and such.

  11. I thought of this too, but I have to imagine if they used Michael in an icon sort of way, they'd have him pop up somewhere in the marketing. Plus, he feels out of place with this event's theming. Maybe the Director is coming back, after being in Singapore and Hollywood (albeit not the exact same director)? Plus, he would tie into the event more thematically. It's a stretch, and more than likely not, given the other clues. But hey, you never know. My interest has definitely been piqued though. I can't wait to see what they've got in store for us!

  13. LOL You beat me to it. Was just about to post it. It looks like this is official confirmation for the last three rumored houses then. I am INCREDIBLY curious now about the monsters house. Max Shreck's version predates Bela's onscreen presence. Dare I hope that they're going back even further to the silent era of German Expressionist film? If we see Edison's Frankenstein, Count Orlock, Der Golem, and Dr. Caligari/Cesare in this house I will totally flip out! It would certainly fit in with the DE style, as well as make some awesome minimalist sets. Don't tease me like this Universal!

  15. That would be awesome! It almost matches a shadow from the movie.

  16. This DEFINITELY goes with the Poltergeist/Insidious kind of Victorian house we've been pondering on....very cool I like the idea of "imagination and reality" being combined...nightmares coming to life, in a way (minus Freddy, of course).

  17. Hmmm... If I were to enter and win, I wonder how quickly I could get a flight to Florida...

  18. Right Zombies and TWD are the marketing push... So you could call that the "theme" I guess. You really wont see anything in the advertisements that isn't TWD. I imagine that will be a little confusing to the uninitiated who were drawn into the event with TWD only to find that there is only a house and a SZ that deals with it. There is more to the event obviously, and very shortly we will find out about the interactive content for us "fanatics".

  22. I'd love to see a mad scientist icon at some point, or something like dr. Phibes . . . or maybe a hero instead of a villain, like a van helsing or kolchak but as much as I love icons, I still enjoy the event without one. Even without a cohesive theme it's still a blast. I guess what I'm really saying is that I don't expect an icon or main theme at this point, so I better get ready to like this year for what it has rather than be disappointed about what it doesn't.

  23. Honestly if we could of had Darkness as an Icon, I would have been happy. He was underused in my opinion.

  24. Have you checked Publix? The one near where I live (near Disney) sells Magners. If not, there's that one grocery store in Crossroads near the Downtown Disney Entrance that sells it as well

  25. I'll reiterate... There will still be interactivity in an official capacity. Or, in otherwords, there will be games. So have no fear... Regardless of whatever this Ifrit business turns out to be, there will be an official payoff. Patience, my friends. Update is the 30th, and I suspect all of your worries will dissolve shortly thereafter.

  26. If I had to throw out a guess. It's just to pass the time, all in good fun. Some people will enjoy it either way, fact or fiction, or if we already knew the outcome. Sure we'd all love something new that we don't know, but we'll get that next week!

  27. Why, Is there something going on? I jest, of course. And on the plus side, it's only 11 for me, so I have one hour less to wait.

  28. I'd love to, but in my old age, that might be difficult without caffiene or booze Perhaps that means I should just start drinking earlier than usual next Wednesday.

  30. Or it could be The Greek letter Rho which has several uses, and in Greek numerals represents 100. With the combination of easy as 1, 2, 3 in the clue, I'm more inclined to lean toward my original guess. Abc is as easy as 123. Meaning our missing letters should be placed in their alphabetical order. So instead of Abc being 123, HOR is 123. The use of scrabble tiles suggests to me that the numerical equivalent of the letters gives the hint toward the number of each letter needed. So 1 H, 2 Os, and 3 Rs. This is where my dylexia comes in handy again to create the word HORROR. That's how my mind sees this particular puzzle.

  31. With the kidzone being used I would love to see a show being done in the Barney theatre with a scary kids theme sort of a "hey kids my name is Carney come on in and see us perform human sacrifices to the I Love you song" type of feel
