But isn't that the entire point of this thread? To let people overthink, overanalyze and speculate about every possible clue provided to them, regardless if it's from Universal or not? And if everyone being guillable is an issue with these hints, then who is to say everyone isn't guilty of the same for every single supposidly "legit" clue that has been posted here previously. Seriously sweetie, you need to lighten up some...it's a Halloween event, enjoy it for what it is.

Or it could be The Greek letter Rho which has several uses, and in Greek numerals represents 100. With the combination of easy as 1, 2, 3 in the clue, I'm more inclined to lean toward my original guess. Abc is as easy as 123. Meaning our missing letters should be placed in their alphabetical order. So instead of Abc being 123, HOR is 123. The use of scrabble tiles suggests to me that the numerical equivalent of the letters gives the hint toward the number of each letter needed. So 1 H, 2 Os, and 3 Rs. This is where my dylexia comes in handy again to create the word HORROR. That's how my mind sees this particular puzzle.

O.k I hate to beat a dead horse and all, but if the entire point of speculation was to weed out the fact from fiction, this thread would be completely and utterly pointless. Since no one can absolutely, positively verify that the information they have posted this far is precisely what we will be seeing, doesn't that negate every single clue given to us up to now? I mean if we're trying to weed out the truth from fantasy, all the speculation and clues on this page could be labeled as guesstimates since no one can give up the ghost so to speak in regards to exactly what is spot on. Whoever this source is is just helping amplify the fun of guesstimating and speculating. Even if the info they are providing is pointless in the end, who really cares? It's all in good fun. And isn't the point of the event for everyone to get excited? Even if this is someone just having fun, it's not hurting anyone. Heck if anything, I think it's amped up people wondering exactly what to expect for this year. Visiting this site is a way to pass the time, so it really shouldn't make a hill of beans as to whether any of the info provided is spot on or not. I mean come on, you of all people know how things work with this event. I haven't read a single one of these new clues, but others are having fun with it...what the heck, let them enjoy it regardless of what the outcome is.

I'll reiterate... There will still be interactivity in an official capacity. Or, in otherwords, there will be games. So have no fear... Regardless of whatever this Ifrit business turns out to be, there will be an official payoff. Patience, my friends. That doesn't hurt my feelings at all. A year without an icon is just as good as a year with one. Actually, without one I think it allows the creative minds at Uni to go in different directions and not feel that they are boxed into focusing on certain concepts surrounding the icon and their backstory.

I think the point Chris is trying to get across is that it would be nice to know if we are only passing time. Reviewing posts, you can see the hope for an icon, a backstory, the comeback of LT, an overall theme. If passing time is the point, speculating on little details, then just let us know.

Has there been anything new up til now? Nope. I'm 100% sure that it's someone from this board working with largely the same info as us, and I've been working more on the mystery of who it could be than what they're doing. But has it been a fun way to kill some time until the reveal next week? Absolutely. And sorry to be blunt, and no rudeness meant, but I think you've kind of missed the point here. Speculation is just that. To speculate on what we might see based on the little info we have. Not to figure out the event ahead of time. There are people out there like Dr. Jimmy who like to drop clues here and there to fuel speculation, but if it was to disclose everything, then they'd just come out and say it. Who cares if we're right or not? I don't. I'm still going, and I'm still going to have fun. Right or wrong, everything's going to be revealed next week anyway. Just enjoy the ride. I considered that. If it is, he's added a new layer to his trickery, since he's also been leaving big clues in other places lately, and was doing his videos before. It doesn't seem to fit his MO, but it's not outside the realm of possibility.

Until I see more from ifrit, I will see this has just away to past the time. What bothers me, is if this is not an inside source, and we are just going to receive information about details (like how many nurses will be in the SH house), why not just say it? It gets everyone's hopes up that there may be more to the event. That we may get the interactivity that we have been craving. I agree that speculating, over thinking, over analyzing can be fun. I love it, but it would be nice to know what the payoff is. And if the payoff is just little tidbits, fine just be honest about it. We can still play. As for the clue, I'm going two combine specs. Does anyone remember Mr. Hawthorne's full name? R. O. H. could be for Mr. Hawthorne's full name.

I hope that all of you have come to the realization by now that these "clues" aren't coming from UNI... and are just looking at this as something to "pass the time". The wording & the entire process pretty much gives it away. They're toying with you're gullibility and know you'll over-think every "clue" sent your way. So just keep that in mind. While Universal may be celebrating it's "100th year anniversary", don't expect the lagoon show to be "100th year" based, due to the fact that its only been 99 years as far as Universal's horror movies go... next year will be Universal's 100th year of horror... And as much as i'm looking forward to a lagoon show being confirmed for HHN, I have this dreaded feeling its going to be 2006's "Sweet 16: Director's Cut" 2.0 ...unfortunately. I'd personally prefer to see something original like HHN 1995's "Crypt Keeper's Revenge: The Knights of Hell" lagoon show... which there seems to be very little footage of, but the footage seen on the generic HHN drawer archives site (can be found on Horrornights.be), it was definitely "original" compared to a movie-clip style lagoon show. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Now for something completely different... Like last year, RTU (Rock The Universe) has gotten special treatment with Universal's 'newest' coaster. What am I talking about exactly? Well... take a look for yourself. If you ask me... since this will be the 2nd year that Rockit is open during HHN, I would say that some special HHN related tracks are required. If RTU can get special tracks for their event, so should HHN. Now obviously, Alice Cooper would be a given, but I wonder if maybe we could see something for HHN this year... although its probably unlikely.

I know some people are against IP houses, but looking at the facade with the rock on one side and the jeep on the other and looking ahead you see the Silent Hill sign through the falling ash and suddenly you jump when the siren goes off, and you're not even inside the house yet. This house should be awesome and I can't wait.

Not trying to be a downer here, but seriously.. No that really isn't the point. The point of speculation is to speculate & weed out the fact from the fiction. But the fact that this whole instagram thing is only being toyed with on this forum and not any others should've been the first red flag. Not to mention that nobody else received this mysterious link to instagram, which anyone who remembers last year, it was a select group of people who got the link for the special clue tweets via twitter. Like Dr Jimmy said before, what is embedded within the clues is more or less real. But as others have pointed out, these clues are not offering up anything "new" that we don't already know. If there was something NEW actually being spewed forth and not just a rehash of whats already been "unearthed" (another 'clue' that wasn't even hinted at until Dr Jimmy made the reference recently in posts) regarding the event, people shouldn't look at this instagram as a source of "info". Don't need you all to get excited only to realize it was for nothing other than just someone else's "fun".

In 2010, I remember the website updating around 10:30-11PM the night before the official reveal day. Maybe we'll get lucky like that this year and not have to stay up till midnight or later.

You know how that goes, if this is an inside source, they can only say so much. And I think when it comes down to it, anyone who has any remote knowledge of the event and these sites understands that until you see it with your own eyes, don't completely count on it or believe it. I take everything I read, regardless of the source, with a grain of salt until I step foot into Uni on employee preview night...and heck, as we all know, things change throughout the event. So what we might not see at EP or opening weekend could pop up at a later date. I think regardless the payoff will be another amazing event

I'm the opposite, the heavy leaning on TWD almost made me rethink my trip being HHN-centric in the Fall. But the recent talk about the possibly inventive scarezones and the possible return of LT(even though this one may not be happening) have made me change my mind.

Ok so looking at the new clue this is my idea. We have the word horror right? The tiles are on a hole that's been dug or dirt that has been disturbed.... so maybe the clue is... ........ A new horror has been unearthed...... Speculate away!!!

Spoke for just a few seconds with both Penn & Teller at the meet and greet after their show last Saturday evening in Las Vegas. They confirmed with simple " yes" answers, when asked that they will appear at HHN. Didn't mention when and din't have an opprotunity to ask any other questions. Secomd time seeing their show in Vegas. If their maze at HHN is half as good as their show, we are all in for a special treat.

Ahhhh I got it! After scanning that QR code a message appears that breaks down his code. So he's telling us don't expect to see any icon advertised (x's on the icons faces on the tv). Which means it'll be just like 2004 where there was technically an icon but it wasn't one that was advertised per say
