well im trying to think of locations a cryptid might actually be sighted in y'know, a house doesn't fit that much. but hey, you never know.

Well maybe a tunnel scene could fit in i guess.

By the way here's a cryptid monster that could fit in the tunnel scene: https://cryptidz.fandom.com/wiki/Toronto_Tunnel_Monster

Here are some haunted house ideas i had in my head

Mark Millar's The Unfunnies in 3D!-Welcome to the the messed-up world of The Funnies where sex, violence take place in this chaotic world of Troy Hicks himself!

Criterion's Creepy Collection-Come and see the scenes of the famous films that are on Criterion's Collection DVDs from an experiment gone wrong in the Criterion's Collection secret labs.

When the Nightmares Came-Come and take a look at his past and previous killings before he even corrupted the Trope Pantheons itself.

Another idea! Another sequence to Run. Feel free to add any ideas!

RUN: (T.B.A.)

In the near-future, there have been multiple kidnappings and homicides  throughout the entire world, worrying people each and every day, as well as leaving investigations cold for law enforcement, especially INTERPOL. The reason? The dark web. The dark web... a string of websites where any sicko can find anything illegal  he or she so desires,  if they have the right payment. But what about kidnapping? And living out your sickest fantasies? The dark web has got it... and the game-show RUN connects to the dark web entirely. Bigger and deadlier than ever before! Let's say there's a person at work you totally despise, or it could be someone that was cleared of any wrong doing, but you know is  guilty for their atrocious crimes, Or a wife or husband that has been highly unfaithful to you, or you just want to relieve some stress... go to the dark web, look for the RUN website. Provide the information about that person, name, age, height, etc. and when you provide the payment, the organization of RUN will kidnap that person requested from the client. You won't have to get your hands dirty. RUN will notify you that the person you wanted kidnapped  is ready at the participating RUN game show participation of the year. You, the client fly out to that country where the RUN game show takes place, go to that remote location provided to you. Then, you get to dress up as anyone you want (to conceal your identity and to terrify the victim) as well as choosing your choice of weapons. If you want to inflict pain on your victim, they have special rooms for you, or if you love a challenge, they will have the victim run throughout the building the game show is hosted in and you, the client can go hunting. And if you feel lucky, your victim can be given a weapon to fight you off.  This year's RUN will take place in a dilapidated Ex-Soviet Military Base, within the nation of Belarus. If you want to participate in hunting your victim, you've come to the right place. Or if you want to watch, RUN will be filmed 24/7 live from your computer.   And the best part? You won't get caught by law enforcement. Both national and international. Guaranteed.

THE HORRIFYING CURSE OF WINDY GULCH

Life can be tough in the old west. As of late, the gold rush is winding down, a mysterious drought has killed off the livestock, and everyone's having a hard time getting enough food to eat. What they did to survive was horrible, but what it did to them was even worse. As they ate the flesh of their first victim, a mania awakened in them - they needed more. Over time, as they devoured more, they became deformed - pallid, lipless, hairless, their eyes rotting away in their skulls, their teeth pointed, fingernails razor-sharp, rapidly losing weight, their spines growing unnaturally long. The entire town went mad, demanding flesh, and any wanderer who dares enter Windy Gulch will do just fine.

When guests wander into this scarezone, they're surrounded by the typical trappings of a Western set with a dark twist. The building fronts are in heavy disrepair. The horses just died while tied to the hitching rails, years ago, with very little flesh still on the bones. There's a tree filled with nooses - all of them are filled, but the occupants seem to be refusing to die. The prison is covered with skeletons - each wearing a sign stating the crime that sent them to the chopping block. A snake oil wagon is on one end, with the salesman trying to pitch cures. On various posters around the town are the rules - not standard rules, but odd decrees that would be found in a cult. The music has an ominous country bent to it - stuff like Johnny Cash, Colter Wall, Brown Bird and Tom Waits, without the lead vocals. The lighting is a cold, moonlit blue.

SCARACTERS:

  • The Townsfolk: ...I think you get the idea. Western characters turned into these... whispermen-esque freaks, with a horrible, greasy frog-like texture to their skin, black spit on their yellow teeth, and decaying bodies. Some have taken damage, the black scabs around their wounds still have a moist quality to them. Those who don't just rip people apart with their claws will use knives, axes, busted bottles, pickaxes, shovels, scythes, sickles, hammers... the like.
  • Stiltwalkers: ^
  • The Butcher: One of the townsfolk, the butcher looks the part. He carries a cleaver, and will sometimes be seen dragging a body around.
  • Wanderers: People who thought they were just passing through town. But then they broke an obscure rule and were dragged to the stockade, where they'll either die of starvation or be selected by The Butcher.
  • Dr. Miles Pellingway: The medicine man. He stands atop his cart, trying to sell his wares and survive the madness.
  • Odder Townsfolk: I guess there'd be, like... some "saloon girls" who might have been attractive before the curse set in. Maybe a coal miner with a blackened lung hanging out of his opened chest cavity. Kinda want to throw in a Ned Kelly character just because - maybe the curse made him strong enough to rip a feeding hole into his helmet.

The Tragic Kingdom

Dreamerland, USA is a fairly popular theme park, where Ringmaster Dreamer and his fantasy friends entertain kids. And to be fair, it's a pretty amazing theme park. The creators of the park strive for an authentic feeling - but there is a big difference between "lifelike" and "real". An angry spirit has taken the form of the Demon Queen, and has laid a curse upon the park. Enter, if you dare, the deadliest park on Earth.

The Tragic Kingdom is a scarezone parody of Disney theme parks, without trying to be too malicious or copyright-infringing. Like, from what you can see of main street, it seems pretty cool, posters for neat rides, the scent of food stands (that they actually pipe in from below-ground - it's a marketing tool and a clever one at that), and ads for live shows. But that was before. Now, the park is only a shell of what it once was, and the company is trying to shut it down, so it looks like a Disney park that's gone to hell through no fault of its own. And that's not even going into the damage that the cursed characters have caused.

SCARACTERS:

  • Ringmaster Dorian Dreamer and Daffodil Dreamer (Mickey and Minnie Mouse): The park mascots, they're dressed as a ringmaster and a hostess, respectively. But unlike their inspiration, they are not cute mice. The posters around the scarezone indicate that they were once humans, but due to the curse, they've turned into feral were-rats.
  • Demon Queen (Maleficent): A mix between the scorned fairy and The Horned King, the Demon Queen stands above the street, cursing things and delivering ominous speeches.
  • Empress Snowflake (Elsa): A frostbitten queen with cold, dead eyes. She wanders the streets, threatening to slaughter whomever and turn them into her minions. She carries an icicle as a dagger.
  • Little Snowflake (Anna): The Empress's younger sister, accidentally slaughtered at a young age. In desperation, Snowflake tried to bring her back, only to reanimate the corpse as a twisted form of its former self. Now, the body decays, many of the sores and injuries have been turned to ice, and her teeth have fallen out, replaced with blood-stained icicles in a blood-covered mouth. She carries a pickaxe.
  • Mermaid (Ariel): The little mermaid asked to be human, so she could have a soul. She was given legs, but never found a man. As the sea hag tried to turn her back into a mermaid, the soulless shell attacked and killed her. Now, the Mermaid is a hideous freak of nature, a gill-man-like feral creature that can only think about violence.
  • The Beastess (Belle): Once, a witch punished a young princess by turning her into a hideous monster, a spell that only true love could break. On her 16th birthday, a prince happened upon her castle prison, and... it had to be true love. Alas, it was not to be - the townsfolk stormed the castle, and killed the prince in the chaos. In a rage, the Beastess slaughtered the villagers. The Beastess is a different take on a Chimera - feline face, goat horns, batwing-like hands with falcon-like talons, and wolf feet - wearing the tattered remains of a fancy dress. She carries the skeleton of the prince, and attacks anyone who dares get close.
  • The Lost Leader (Peter Pan): When a child dies, their soul is guided to Heaven by the Lost Leader. It's a sad, tragic job, but he's been keeping his head held high - but you can only take so much. The Lost Leader looks like a mix between a bard and Papa Emeritus, and carries a blued steel dagger. He carries a little lantern, claiming it to hold a fairy he considers his friend.
  • The Pirate King (Jack Sparrow): The Pirate King once found a cursed treasure, that turned him undead. And no matter what he tried, he cannot get rid of it. Now, he wanders the streets, a rotting corpse, attacking with his rapier due to his age-clouded mind.
  • Stitchdoll (...Loosely based off of Toy Story): Stitchdoll was a little doll made from a burlap sack that loved his owner very much. It was a heartwarming movie, perhaps you saw it. But sadly, the curse has gotten to Stitchdoll. He's falling apart, and he hasn't seen his owner it, what, 25 years? The loneliness is driving Stitchdoll to kill. Now, he roams the street, armed with a knife, hoping that the attention he's bringing will get his owner to notice him.

    • Von Bone (Hatbox Ghost): Von Bone was once an affluent figure, in life. Sadly, his life was also in France during the revolution, so it ended with the guillotine. Now Von Bone wanders the streets, headless, though still fairly jovial. He carries a box - and the box can drop his decayed head, something of a bungee gag.
    • The Galactic Tyrant (Darth Vader): Galactic Tyrant has it rough. He was told he could be a legendary hero, but the other knights scoffed. As he worked his way up the ranks, he made a deal with a vizier to ensure the safety of the galaxy - only for the vizier to kill the king, destroy the other knights, take over the galaxy with an iron fist, and turn Galactic Tyrant into the slave and political figurehead he is today. Tyrant takes a lot of Vader's scarier traits, and takes them to an extreme - you can see his rotten flesh in the tears of the costume, his goggles, respirator, and picklehaub are fused to his flesh, his limbs are robotic, and he carries a rusted chainsaw sword. Also, his breathing is grosser, like someone with a lot of mucus in their respirator.
    • Yeti (Expedition Everest Yeti): It's a yeti. I'm only including the Yeti due to the stories that the old Yeti animatronic at Expedition Everest actually DAMAGED the ride while it was running. As such, the Yeti carries a piece of steel from a roller coaster's supports.

Great idea! However, a useful note: Belle and Peter Pan (Beastess and Lost Leader) are public domain. The other characters that are parodied are copyrighted.

I mean, the inspiration is supposed to be visible, but at the same time, the characters are "legally" different, such as with the many Scary Tales houses. Plus, parody is protected by copyright law... though I don't know if this is parody. And it wouldn't work for Stitchdoll (Nothing like the inspiration at all) and The Yeti (ancient Cryptid).

Also I've read before that Peter Pan's copyright was extended because the plays raised money for a children's charity or something.

Oh hey, the website's back!

Another Icon Idea:

THE JUDGE

Some people seek authority to make the world a better place, and some people seek authority to become more powerful. Judge Ezekiel Rothburg only sought power - using his position for personal gain, and to bring ruination to those who crossed him. As his power grew, so did his ego - he committed acts that he destroyed others for, excusing himself because "I'm the judge!". Eventually, he even gained a cult of followers, who became his jury and executioners.

It all came crashing down, however, when he targeted the mayor of his town. Trying to kill him over some criticism, Rothburg only angered the citizens - the police decimated his followers, and the townsfolk dragged Rothburg out into the streets and gave him some justice of his own.

That should be the end of the story, but as his soul rotted in Hell, he started forcing his way up the ranks again. Not wanting to deal with his crap, Lucifer eventually decided to "promote" Ezekiel to Hell's Judge - which was really just a meaningless title and an exile from Hell.

With little more than his followers and some Demon Guards (...actually more like Hell's parole officers), Ezekiel Rothburg has returned to Earth. Watch what you do and say, for one slip-up and The Judge will have his way.

---

The Judge is the corrupted spirit of a small-town court justice. He and his followers all look corpse-like, with the judge wearing his robe and wig, carrying his gavel. His followers dress like people from the 30's-50's, but faded, with blindfolds covering their gouged eyes. And the Demon Guards are robed figures, carrying swords.

The theme of the Judge's HHN would be Crime and Punishment - like Lady Luck's is about making wrong choices, and The Usher is about broken rules, The Judge's houses will all feature the stories of people who committed a crime/sin, and follow with the retribution. For example:

  • Nightmare on Elm Street: Freddy Krueger killed children, only to be mobbed by their parents.
  • The Mummy: Consistently, the Mummy is a character who committed an illegal act, and was punished by being turned into an undead killing machine.
  • The Purge: All crimes are legal for 24 hours - but participating in the Purge means you're just as likely to be killed as any victims you've planned.
  • Chucky: Charles Lee Ray was an asshole who was shot by the cops. Now he's stuck in the body of a doll that sometimes becomes mortal - but he's grown to love it!
  • Ghostbusters: Do they have a permit for that power-sucking "containment unit"? Shut it down!
  • A Halloween Carol: Victor's past catches up to him as he dies in a church.
  • CC: Unheilige Nacht: Those who end up on the naughty list have quite the unpleasant surprise ahead.
  • Windy Gulch: They ate people, and now they're soulless abominations.
  • Many more, these are just some ideas.

Notably, he would not share a year with District of Corruption: Capitol Punishment - he's already got the dark side of the law covered, so the two together would be excessive.

Alongside an Icon house, he'd also have a show - Court is in Session - where several people are damned for minor crimes in a show trial. Between cases, the Judge will call forth performers, to show how affluent he is - he's one of those jerks. At the end of the event, for the last show, the tables are turned when The Judge himself is put on trial, and dragged off to Hell, possibly forever.

Here's another Icon Idea i have right now

Ultimate Nightmare

We all know what happened when the Nightmare Creature almost won in the Trope Pantheon Wars in which the Dream Creature fought him and won, right? But what if he won that battle between him and the Dream Creature? Well in this alternate reality he fused himself with the Scarlet King, Khrone and Hajun and therefore defeated him and won the battle and transformed the Trope Pantheons into something nightmarish along with its inhabitants in which are members of the houses of the Trope Pantheons and ruled it like a tyrannical king

However one day he decides to open a portal to the real world in which in this world he is defeated by the Dream Creature and goes to Universal Studios for a little chaos and turns out that chaos was opening terrifying alternate realities along with his own alternate reality in which he won and defeated the Dream Creature...

Basically the houses in the events are mostly terrifying alternate realities and the list goes as follows

It's Icon Scare-Zone will be Pantheonz and it might or might not be a park-wide scare-zone and if it were to have a show, the show would basically be about his very own cult looking for volunteers (in which are actors/actresses) and have Ultimate Nightmare to sacrifice them to gain new powers and during the final hours, the cult would be betrayed and killed by the Ultimate Nightmare and then the Dream Creature would show up and a battle would ensue between the both of them and the battle would end with the Dream Creature being victorious

There's not even really enough to list what happens in this idea for a list.

SHOW IDEA:

ACE OF KNAVES COMEDY CLUB

Opening a comedy club in Gotham City is ill-advised, though not outright foolish. Theming it after the clown who's been terrorizing the city for years, however, is outright stupid. Naturally, the Clown Prince of Crime himself has found out about the club, and has decided to crash the party, have a little fun!

Ladies and Gentlemen, get ready for tonight's entertainment!

Obviously, this idea is for Six Flags Fright Fest, or a hypothetical Horror Made Here reboot. The venue is hidden behind a facade of a classy, if tasteless, Joker-themed comedy club. The building is colored in purple and green, with Joker memorabilia in the windows - there's a vintage collectible motif, with playing cards, figurines, posters, plastic masks, and the like. To the side is some Graffiti left by Joker's underlings. As guests enter the building, however, the dark side of the show becomes visible. The ticket taker is dead behind the box office counter, Smilex'd, and a Joker goon will interact with guests.

Inside the venue, the Joker theme continues. Statues of the man himself are on the sides, alongside props such as giant playing cards, theater masks, gags and pranks, all along the purple-curtained walls. As guests take their seats, the show begins.

The main show is basically Joker's Insult Emporium. The Joker (I envision a Mark Hamill-style take on the character) will insult guests and give dark anecdotes about what he's been up to - I have a few ideas that still need fleshing out if they're to be used, but one involves Joker murdering a man in front of his coulrophobic girlfriend, and the other involves Joker getting his kicks by giving another Arkham inmate a toothbrush taped to a radio as part of a dare. Then shouting that said inmate has a bomb. About all I've gotten with that second one is that Joker laughs while the guards beat the guy up (probably Edward Nygma or Jonathan Crane), but the first is basically complete - and pretty messed up. Should still probably be tweaked, though.

It's also possible that other characters are brought in. Harley Quinn, Ventriloquist and Scarface, a Jim Carrey-esque Riddler, possibly the owner as he dies to laughing gas.

Obviously, this would require actors who not only somewhat resemble the Joker, but can put on a good Joker voice, improvise, and get into the Joker mindset.

Day Of The Dead

We are walking passing by chainlink fences on both sides of us, zombies shaking em violently, one of the zombie Dr. Teeth sticks his head into an open hole of the cage to get close to guests with a good scare, entering  into a room that resembles the one in Sarah's dream, we see a wall with a calender on our right and zombie arms pop through trying to reach towards us, are then rushed and  enter into the underground facility and in the middle of the zombies getting in, alarms are blaring and zombies popping from certain areas, we found ourselves walking down halls as we get jump-scared by Rhodes and his men as well as Dr. Sarah, John and Will popping out of certain areas as we make our way towards Dr. Logan's lab, and the many subjects he had been working on and we also see a zombie on the table that looks towards us and tries to reach out as his guts hit the floor and groaning and Logan scares us out of the room as we are then moved into the next room where Bub scares us with shaking his chain at us violently, as we proceed, we also see what is left of Capt. Rhodes as the zombies are eating him alive, and some zombies jump scare us into the next room which is deep in the mine where the zombies lurk and the survivors are desperately making their escape, after finally getting through these cave like areas, we find ourselves making it out but not before we get one last frightening scare by Bub.

Tried to do my best to give it a good walkthrough, my mind is drawing blanks, especially while I'm here at work.

Zombies Approach/Capturing Zombies - John Harrison

(i got bored)

gorefield

note - this will be a 3d house, mostly because everything in the haunt will look like it's from the comic strips.

facade - Jon's house .there will be a projection of gorefield attacking odie shown through a window.

scene 1 - living room ,this room wouldn't have any scares, but you can tell something has gone wrong. bits and pieces of dead skin hang from the furniture, large paw prints on the walls and ceilings, and empty chef boyarde lasagna cans.

transition room 1. a simple hallway with claw marks everywhere.

scene 2 - kitchen. here you actually start to see the chaos. now you see a large pile of chef boyarde lasagna cans in a corner, and something can be heard moving in the fridge. you walk up to it, and the door then kicks open. a bloodied up Gorefield comes out from the fridge and hisses at you (animatronic, alsp this is probably the closest one that'll look like Garfield).

transition room 2 - another hallway, but this time there's various destroyed furniture everywhere. you pass by a door to your left, and Jon will come out from it and try to swing a bat at you.

scene 3 - dining room. now here's when things get disturbing. on the table is Lyman, and he is seen being devoured by Gorefield legs first (animatronic). he tries to push the thing off him, but the thing just bites down harder. as you are distracted by this, Liz will come out from the other side and try to shoot at it. however, he gets dragged away by a tentacle, as you enter into the next room.

transition room 3 - another hallway. on a wall, there's various scribbles of possible attempts to cure Garfield (most of the cure ingredients are lasagna ingredients). behind a hole in the wall, you can hear scuttling from it, and something large moving. you walk away from it expecting a scare, but instead a mutant Odie will pop up from the hole next to you, barking and snarling but yet yelping in pain (animatronic).

scene 4 - bedroom. the room is mostly destroyed, the bed sheets are riddled with paw prints and claw marks, and a large piece of dead skin lies in the center of the room. you start to hear the scuttling again...and a whiskery voice simply saying "Jon" over and over again. you look around wondering where it's coming from, but you can't seem to find it...until you realize it's coming from above you. you look up, and a spider legged Gorefield is seen on the ceiling (animatronic). it drops down to you, and stops mid-air and simply laughs evilly at you.

transition room 4 - this hallway is different, the walls are orange and black. you then realize...the hallway is made out of gorefield flesh. the flesh seems to move and pulsate at some places (various areas of fabric with actors from behind it pushing the fabric). as you keep on walking, various actors disguised as pieces of flesh run towards you and chase you out of the room.

scene 5 - garage. this will probably be the largest room in the haunt. in the center of the room is a 15' ft tall Gorefield. with various tentacles whipping around, it'll roar and try to bite at you. suddenly, Jon comes out from behind you and shoots at it, as blood sprays onto you. he urges you to run while you still can, as you exit the maze.
