While I'm quite confident in my drawing ability, and I sketched out every idea I had, I really feel that going with a write-up and letting the pro draw it was a smarter way to go. Besides, I probably a better writer than artist...Anyway, I went with an Invisible Man design. I had really cool Hunchback and Renfield designs I did as well, but Griffin felt like the right choice. I'm had a really hard time choosing between the two invisible men and the aztec version of the mummy but i eventually choose the mummy. She looks great, but it'd be nice if they posted a short backstory/ description for all of them. Honestly i want all of them at the event. I made him a Hollywood star on the red carpet (he wore a white tux and bow tie that had drops of blood all around the shoulders and the neck. Only I submitted a write-up versus a drawing because, surprise, I knew the best drawing would likely win rather than the most creative.EDIT - That said... I agree with Legacy and I don't know why but the invisible man that is winning reminds me awfully alot about the demon from Sinister. Legacy yours actually does sound better than any of the finalists. I really liked what my friend submitted which I thought was great. He made a whole backstory on how Doc. Frankenstein has survived up to now in modern times. He has been killing people for parts of their body to exchange them for his to not age and stay alive. His face was rotted away with many scars. It looked like a combo of Leatherface and a zombie. He had syringes on his neck and still had the same hairstyle. He had a long white bloody lab coat and his boots looked like the ones that the invisible man finalist has. To top it of the doc carries around a chainsaw to kill his victims. Needless to say, I chose Dracula's Bride. I thought she was the scariest looking one. As for the Invisible Man, I'm not too sure why it's winning. I don't find that scary. StraightEdge Posted July 4, 2013 Share Posted July 4, 2013 (edited) The Invisble Man drawing is so basic, it's a nice drawing but he point of voting is to see which one of those drawings would look badass/scary if they were brought to life. The Aztec one would be scary. I think the contest needs a little more creativity and freedom. Not just have it tie into classic monsters but anything and anyone. The ones that can't be brought to life at HHN obviously should just not be picked but the best ones that could should be able. Lets see if 2014 has the contest again and allows a little more freedom. I like the helmet smashed on his head. I'm not sure what this has to do with Frankenstein... maybe if it was like Jekyl and Hyde thing. I don't know if this is possible to make but the idea is pretty damn cool lol Proper, which makes him creepy lol This would be AWESOME if played by a dwarf haha Love the red hair. Reminds me of the Flasher, but with no face! Never imagined a female Phantom... very cool! Same as the Phantom... a female Creature. Very cool idea. I just love how classic this looks. FREAKIN INSANE. I love this one. This is one bad ass lookin mofo Simple, but cool. Weird enough that I like it My guess is this is someone recently mummized since they have guts spilling out. Not sure if it all makes sense, but I like the imagery. Might be too detailed to work on a scareactor. Same here... it's a bit much. Very well drawn, but only equally as grotesque as some of the other hunchbacks. Seems more plausible to create though. I like the tentacles, but that unfortunately is probably what makes it unable to work (scareactor might trip on them, idiots would step on them, etc).
