Ridesandstuff
HoH from 2006? At the time it was Van Helsing, so technically it's not an HOH overlay, but a Castle Dracula overlay. Edited July 30, 2013 by Ridesandstuff
ferox
Oh man, I wish that's what I meant. But no. No classic monsters were seen in this movie.

ferox
Yes. It is TCM. Saw is the Law to be exact. Buuuut just because I'm not going to call this solved until somebody can connect Saw is the Law to "Lillian."
Ridesandstuff
Lillian and Bela Lugosi would often visit lake Elsinore in CA. Elsinore is also the name of a street in TX?
ferox
No, but that's a good guess!

ferox
Nope. You're gonna have to look a bit deeper in the movie than the title. The hints I gave before might lead you to the right place to look in the movie.
Mr.HHN
HOTC connects with TCM because Ed Gein inspired Leatherface.
ferox
I was thinking along the lines of Rob Zombie ripping off Tobe Hooper in general, but yes. The 2011 house was HOTC. Now...Lillian. What does Lillian have to do with the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre?
ferox
My favorite scare of this house was from the hitch-hiker. Most of the room was dark and he managed to pop out of the darkness right into my face as I was standing in the middle of the room. Why am I telling you this? There's a reason. ferox
I know there are other Lillians out there, but when I thought of the codename I was just thinking of Lugosi. Edited August 7, 2013 by ferox
ferox
The codename has something to do with something that was said in the movie. There's been a lot of guesses relating to locations...I guess there's something there. Maybe not a state or a town though. Something smaller. evan4hcokey
Ok, let's see if I got it... So Lillian Lugosi is the wife of Bela Lugosi who was the original Dracula. In the original TCM the character of Franklin (when they picked up the hitchhiker) refers to him by saying "I think we just picked up Dracula"????
ferox
Bingo! Well, close enough. The actual line I was looking for was when Franklin described the (then unseen) Sawyer family as "a whole FAMILY of Draculas." Lillian being his wife and therefore family member. In Murdy fashion I'll be explaining every hint I gave. I made a few hints leading to Franklin. One hundred dollars=Benjamin Franklin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin,_California was the city I was thinking of. Also, turtles. Tearing you apart: Chainsaws.Tip of your tongue: Cannibalism."It may be kind of "hard" to find this name. I just hope you all don't think this hint is a travesty.": Sally Hardesty. Hard/Travesty. "If you think that these answers are going to be obvious, it's time to take a hike.": The Hitchhiker. This IP has something big in common with one of Murdys "I really want this one" IPs.: The Exorcist was released in 1974, alongside Texas Chainsaw Massacre.: Sugar Hill. Another 1974 movie. This codename is tricky...I sure hope you can figure it out.: Hope Lugosi. Who was another one of Lugosi's wives. Thanks to all who played! And congrats to Evan! ferox
You can make one up. I got a few good guesses from mine after I think people got tired...but it can't hurt to try.
