The 2012 HHNH Event Creation Competition: Game 2: Round 1

Unless you are familiar with the rules and guidelines, and even if you are, please read the following to be up to date on how the game works. Thank you!

Hello all, and welcome to GAME 2!

In the last game, both Grindhousehero13 and StevenforTmrw (who will also be judging this round) advanced into the finals! Traditionally, and from here on and out, it won't be that way and there will be ONE winner from now on. But it was our first game so we're still working out the kinks. But they both deserved it and put in a large amount of dedication into their events. So there's still only 4 games, it's just now there will be FIVE finalists (unless one of them wins again). 3 spots left to get into the finals. Read below for more -- some of the changes have been underlined.

For those not familiar:

This is a competition to see who can create the best event for Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights 2012 (if you're an Orlando native, you can still play; just get familiar with the park). Like any competition, there are rules, guidelines and regulations. I'll try to keep it short in effort not to bore you! Make sure to read all before SIGNING UP into the competition and/or posting your event.

1. How the Game Will Be Played

There will be 4 games, each with two rounds. Each game's rounds are the same.

Round 1: All players submit their event based on the guidelines. The judges will then grade each event. The top winners will then be placed into the next round.

Round 2: The players who have passed round 1 will then be put in a poll to be voted for by the general public. Their work will be featured for easy access and reading so one can make a clear vote.

Finals: Whoever wins round 2 will than be the winner of that game. They will then be put into the finals where they will go up against the winners of the other games. The finals will be based off of votes as well.

Think of it as like a tournament: round 1 is entry level, round 2 is the semi finals and the finals are... well, the finals.

During the finals period, a list of categories will be placed on a ballot in which all voters can send in their picks. The events eligible for the categories are ONLY the ones that have at least made it into the semi-finals for all four games.

2. Entry

- All entries must cover the entire event. From the mazes, to the shows. Each must be listed clearly and have a location.

- One-shot ideas (JUST a single maze, JUST a scarezone) will not be able for competition. If your event is in anyway not up to par with the guidelines, you will be notified of what changes need to be made by the deadline date. If the guidelines aren't met, the event will be disqualified.

- You can enter into a game with only ONE event.

- You can play as many games as you like.

- If you win one game, you can still play other games but only with a DIFFERENT event. If you somehow win more than 1 game, your chances in the finals will be much higher.

- If your entry doesn't make it into round 2 (semi-finals), it can be posted in the other games if you wish but remember, you still only get one event per game so it'd be wise to make improvements on it. All events that made it into the semi-finals or higher must be discarded thereafter.

- Your event can be something you've already created or something new or mish mashed ideas as long as they're YOUR OWN.

3. Guidelines for Entries

- There must be at least 6 mazes.

- All the mazes in the early entry period must have a paragraph (5 - 10 sentences) description. If your event makes it into semi-finals, the description for each maze must be extended to at least 2 paragraphs in treatment form (what we see, smell, feel, the who, the why, where and when from the moment we enter the maze).

- There must be at least 1 show.

- All the shows in the early entry period must have a paragraph description. If your event makes it into semi-finals, the description for the show must be extended to at least 1 more paragraph in treatment form or a rough outline (Bill and Ted doesn't need a description of any kind if you decide to have it in your event; we all know what Bill and Ted is so just give it a fancy name!)

- There must be at least 5 scare zones.

- All the scarezones in the early entry period must have a paragraph description. If your event makes it into semi-finals, the description for the scarezone must be extended to at least 1 more paragraph in treatment form or a rough outline with the types of characters, props, sets and music we will see, hear or interact with.

- There must be a Terror Tram.

- The Terror Tram must have a paragraph description in the early entry period. If your event makes it into semi-finals, the description of the Terror Tram must be extended to at least 2 paragraphs in treatment form.

- All the rides in the early entry period need to be listed, whether they're related to the event or not (clarify). If your event makes it into semi-finals, the description for the rides you decided to change must have at least 1 paragraph in treatment form or a rough outline of the changes.

- All events must have a rough marketing strategy (icon, billboard type, commercial type, etc.). If your event makes it into semi-finals, elaborate on the marketing strategy in further detail.

- If your event makes it into FINALS, you can decide whether or not to elaborate on your event or leave it as is.

- Feel free to add any extras to the event not listed.

- Pictures, maps and drawings WON'T earn you extra credit in order to be fair. Feel free to use them to help illustrate your point but ONLY if you make it into the semi-finals or higher.

4. Judging

There are 3 judges who will pick out of the entry pool of events to pass on into the semi-finals.

All the events will be judged on a scale of 100.

1. Creativity (20 points - Creativity doesn't mean you can't use movie properties, it's just how they're utilized and placed in the event within the theme that makes it creative and interesting)

2. Originality (10 points - Ideas that aren't copycats of events we've seen before; try to do something new and exciting)

3. Theme (10 points - How cool is the theme? Is it something that would work at HHNH? Is it represented well in the marketing plan?)

4. Mazes (20 points - Don't think quantity, think quality of the idea of the mazes. If you have 20 mazes and they all suck, you can score low. If all of your 6 mazes sound amazing, you can get a perfect score.)

5. Shows (10 points - Once again, think quality of the show. Having just Bill and Ted might hurt your chances of a perfect score, I won't lie. How big of an audience can it attract? How often can it be on a night? Will it favor well with guests or will it just be a waste of time?)

6. Scare Zones (15 points - How awesome do the scare zones sound? Sometimes something simple is just as effective as something elaborate.)

7. Terror Tram (15 points - A new location might make yours be favored but if the idea is just the same as the old Terror Tram, it's still only as good. How plausible is this location? How can the trams get there, unload and load up again? Is the drive too far and can it take up too much time? Will any of the other attractions on the Studio Tour be accessible during this time?)

Each judge will then send me their scores for each event in one long message. After they're all tallied, the winners based off the accumulation of total points, will be announced immediately as to who will be going on into the semi-finals. Judges can post the scores in the forum for all to see if they wish (I will post mine though) or if a player asks to see their scores, then that will be given.

5. Voting

If an event makes it into the semi-finals, it'll be open to be voted on. Judges can say what they think should win, if they wish, but their vote is counted as one just like the rest. All the players in the game can vote as well, just not for theirselves.

During the finals, a ballot with all the categories to be voted on will be put up. Readers will then be able to vote in the poll but also list their favorites on the ballot of who they think should win. Whomever with the most votes, wins for that category. Categories will be listed at that time since they're still being deliberated.

6. Off Limit Areas

As is the rules of the park now, there are some areas off limits that you can't create in or on.

- Colonial Street (also known as Wisteria Lane - - this area is constantly used for filming)

- Elm Street (constantly used for filming)

- New York Street

- Courthouse Square

- The Lost World set (not stable enough to be considered safe)

- Sound Stages ("all" are being used or could be used at any moment; try to think of more creative areas to put mazes!)

- The Simpsons on-ride video (feel free to mess with the queue though)

- Any stages that would prohibit them from being used during the day (so try to stick with shows on the stages instead)

- Harry Potter World doesn't exist yet and wouldn't in 2012, so obviously, do not put it in your event and whatever it bulldozes over to make room for won't be affected yet either.

7. Deadlines

Deadlines will be enforced to the best of our control. In order to keep it a "think fast" competition, deadlines will be quite soon for each game.

8. After the Finals

If the game is popular enough, the game can continue after a winner is announced for the Finals. The game will then be changed to accommodate certain aspects of the event with "specialty" events. Right now, the next four games are standard events. After the finals, the "specialty" events can focus on certain tasks or scenarios that can be made up based off of the winning idea of the year. Here are some examples off the top of my head:

- Universal is demanding a more "kiddie" event at the last minute. Make an entire section of the park for kids 12 and under that includes mazes, shows and it's own scarezone(s). If you must (and you will), sacrifice old ideas in order to please upper management.

- Knotts is winning the Haunt battle for Southern California this year. In the middle of the month, come up with changes to the event (whatever the winner of 2012 will be) that are cost effective, would take little to no time to create and/or think of a quick new strategy plan in effort to steal back customers.

- All of the movie property ideas have fallen through. Come up with similar styled original ideas to replace them.

How many are in the semi-finals for each game depends on the amount of players (3 if 6 players or less; 4 if 8 players or less; 5 if 10 players or less). Ever since the semifinals, I have been planning this event. And here it is.

I present you...

Halloween Horror Nights 2012: Here Comes the Bride...

Icon: Angela DeMort aka The Bride aka The Angel of Death

Icon backstory: Angela DeMort is a stunning Southern belle hailing from Carey, Louisiana descended from a long line of Southern Aristocracy. Wishing nothing more than to find her "true love" she was determined never to marry until she found her Mr. Right. Her father had arranged for her to meet ten of the wealthiest men that he can find. However, she found nine of the suitors to be an unpleasant bunch:

John Schmidt had a tendency to "lose his head."

Julius Browning was a lecher.

Christopher Mortis was a superstitious phasmophobe.

Bobby Caine was obsessed with Death.

Gunther Ravensclaw was a hoarder.

Vernon Loomis was a penurious cheapskate.

Dean Gecko had a violent personality

Trevor Williams was a cowardly panophobe.

Daniel Carter was a rugged outdoors man.

But then she was introduced to Roman Shuster. Both fell in love with each other and were soon to be married. However, the nine vengeful suitors devised plan to ruin Angela's wedding after being rejected by her. After spreading rumors that she was an unstable person, the suitors convinced Shuster to call off the wedding as she was waiting for him in the aisle of the White Creak Chapel. After being jilted, something delicate in Angela snapped, soon she took brutal vengeance on her suitors and massacred all the guests in her wedding in a very gruesome matter. Afterwards, she was never to be found, and was rumored to look for her groom til the end of time...

But the story doesn't just end there, Roman had regretted jilting Angela many years ago, and had obsessed over ghosts stories concerning a ghostly bride roaming the hills of the now-abandoned White Creek Chapel. With the help of the Legendary Truth, Shuster sought out to contact Angela's spirit so he could ask for forgiveness for abandoning her. This act of atonement only angered her tortured soul, and after being conjured up Angela took bloody on Shuster, by ripping his heart out for "breaking hers." With her spirit now awakened, she has taken over Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights intent in finding a new groom...

Each maze is indirectly connected to 9 of Angela's ill-fated suitors, some set in different periods of time and locations.

John Schmidt, Angela's first suitor, was beheaded by an ax. His great-grandniece Molly went to Hatchaway Camp, where she herself was beheaded by a "counselor."

Julius Browning, Angela's second, was torn apart by vicious dogs. His great-grandnephew, Harry, was found mutilated by Delta Iota Epsilon Sorority. He was found holding a pair of panties, possibly as part of a Initiation ceremony.

Christopher Mortis, Angela's third, was literally "scared to death." His younger brother, Vincent, became a paranormal investigator and had dissapeared in the English countryside when he was analyzing Hellgate Hall.

Bobby Caine, Angela's fourth, was drowned. His nephew, Allen, drowned in a ship leaving Isle de Destino, home of the famed vacation resort Destino Paradise.

Gunther Ravensclaw's, Angela's fifth, body was never found but what remained of him was his torn off jaw. His uncle, Professor Hans Ravensclaw, who was last in the his private laboratory study, he also mysteriously dissapeared.

Vernon Loomis, Angela's sixth, was stabbed with a butcher's knife. His nephew, Sam, later become the psychologist of the notorious serial killer Michael Myers.

Dean Gecko, Angela's seventh, had his blood drained. His grandsons, the Gecko Brothers, eventually patroned the Titty Twister.

Trevor Williams, Angela's eighth, was impaled by a tree branch. His Grandson, Ash, eventually battles the Evil Dead.

Daniel Carter, Angela's ninth, was pushed off a cliff. His Granddaughter, Sarah, was one the few people who survived an encounter with the Crawlers.

Roman Shuster, Angela's tenth, was killed by Angela's ghost. His cousin, Boris, led the Legendary Truth investigation about the Taluca Lake Urban Legend Murders.

Angela will briefly appear each in the queue videos for the following houses:

Their will also be Angela "Easter Eggs" in every mazes. Pretty much, Angela's personal items (bouquet of flowers, wedding invitation, etc) will appear in random places within the maze. Occasionally, Angela herself will have brief appearances in other mazes beside her own.

I shall explain more of these in details during the maze treatments.

Mazes

1. PsychoScarepy: Hatchaway Camp (WWW arena)

Synopsis: Escaped inmates of Shadybrook Asylum wreak havoc at a summer camp after they are unwittingly hired as counselors. Set in the mid-'80s

The murderous inmates of Shadybrook Asylum have yet again escaped incarceration and now they have their eyes set on the idyllic Hatchaway Camp. Under the guise as the new camp counselors (whom they gruesomely murdered), the inmates are going to teach these unhappy campers of an important lesson about SURVIVAL. So pack your sleeping bag, survival knife, and chainsaw, because at Hatchaway Camp, you won't be going back home!

2. The Initiation: Sisters for Life... and Death (Stage 34)

Synopsis: The girls of the Delta Iota Epsilon Sorority (now opened for new pledges!) are revealed to be bloody-thirsty banshees on the night of their Graduation Party. Present day

Housemother Crowley and the sisters of Delta Iota Epsilon (DIE) are almost too gorgeous to be human... because they are shape-shifting banshees from Hell!

Now they're hosting an exclusive Graduation Party, where it's going to turn into a night you'll never forget! Danger lurks, in every corner and dormitory. These man-eating sisters are more than happy to give you tour of DIE sorority and show off their collection of countless victims. So think twice before you go that panty-raiding party, because the DIE sisters don't take too kindly to unwelcome visitors.

3. The Haunting of Hellgate Hall (Stage 34)

Synopsis: A paranormal investigator and his team spend a night of terror in England's most haunted and accursed mansion. Late-'60s, early-'70s

May 11th 1969, Professor Vincent Mortis and his team of psychics and paranormal investigators explore the accursed grounds of Hellgate Hall. By the 13th, they were never seen again. Relive the last terrifying moments of Prof. Mortis and his team, as they delved deeper into the walls of Hellgate, and even deeper into its madness. Beware of the the dangers that await in the bedeviled Halls of Hellgate. Encounter the malicious specters and entities that inhabit the abandoned corridors of the Hall, and tread through the haunted grounds of the Hellgate Cemetery.

4. Dead Paradise: Sun, Fun, and Slaughter. (JP extended)

Synopsis: A luxurious island resort (Destino Paradise) is plagued by the walking dead. Present-day

A luxurious island resort transforms into an island of carnage when a mysterious virus mutates the inhabitants. Now the corpses of the hapless vacationers and the resort employees have reanimated in an all-out war between the walking dead and the human survivors. Tread through the ensuing bloodbath with the survivors of the un-dead apocalypse and into the jungle where the smell of barbecue and putrid flesh fill the air. Now there are no more rules, it's just sun, fun, and Slaughter!!

5. Dementsions: The Other Side in 3D (T2 extended)

Synopsis: A scientist opens a portal to different dimension that houses unspeakable horrors. 1950's

Doctor Hans Ravensclaw has discovered a scientific break-through, a portal to another world and different dimension only known as the "Other Side." But in opening this gateway, Ravensclaw unwittingly unleashed horrors beyond all imagination. Now as our world and their collide, otherworldly entities and demons roam every shadow and crevice. But that's only the beginning...

6. Rob Zombie's Halloween: Evil Unmasked (Stage 37)

The residents of Haddonfield don't know it yet... but death is coming to their small sleepy town. Sixteen years ago he was committed to Smith's Grove, now Michael Myers has escaped from the mental institution and makes his way back to his hometown intent on a murderous rampage.

7. From Dusk 'til Dawn: One Hell of a Night (Stage 29)

The "Titty Twister" is under new ownership and is now opened with new staff of alluring dancers who will quench the lustful desires of their vicious patrons. But at this nightclub, there's more to worry about than the murderous cut-throats who patron it, because the staff is revealed to be a new breed of vampire who set out to make you their new sacrifice.

8. The Evil Dead (Shrek Extended)

In a quaint cabin in the woods, a group of fun-loving youths stumble upon on an ancient relic known as the Necronomicon. After they unwittingly release the evil spirits within the relic, all hell broke loose. With the cabin being haunted and the youths transforming into vicious "Deadites" the only thing you could do now is run.

9. The Descent: Terror in the Shadows (Stage 29)

A goup of cave explorers attempt to charter the cavernous Appalachian mountains, however their expedition has taken a gruesome turn after they stumble across the breeding ground of the Crawlers. Now it's fight for survival as you attempt to escape the twists and turns of the tortuous caverns and avoid the dreadful fate of many others who dared to enter The Descent...

10. Til Death do Us Part... (Icon House, Mummy extended)

For the nearly half a century, the doors of the White Creek Wedding Chapel have been closed since the fateful night Angela DeMort went on a horrific killing spree. To this day the abandoned chapel has been sight for apparitions and paranormal activity. Now the restless spirits who wander the halls have risen because Angela's back for vengeance. With the halls echoing the terrifying screams of her past victims, Angela will make this night a living hell.

Scarezones

1. Here Comes the BRIDE (Entrance)

Angela DeMort has come to Universal Studios to invite YOU to her unholy matrimony. Her alluring bridesmaids (go-go dancers) welcome you as the insane groomsmen of her twisted past lurk the streets.

2. Doomsdayle High: School's Out... FOREVER (New York Street)

Tragedy strikes the town of Sunnydayle after a school bus from the local high school swerved off the road and into a toxic dump. Now the mutated corpses of the students have risen from the dead looking for prey to satiate their cannibalistic bloodlust.

3. Camp Hatchaway: Teenage Wasteland (Central Park)

The remains of the Hatchaway Camp is now laid desolate with the corpses of the campers... but tread lightly because the maniacal "counselors" still roam the campgrounds intent on making you an Unhappy Camper.

(FYI: Since I heard that Western Street is being torn down in place for a Central Park Area, I decided to use the latter.)

4. The Village of the Forsaken (French Street)

Witches and their occult followers wander the deserted streets of the Village, looking for a new sacrifice...

5. The Unholy Ones (London Street)

In a distant future, demonic possession is genetically engineered into a biological weapon, but all hell breaks loose after a disasterous accident. Now as the world is being ruled by the Possessed, the fate of humanity lies on the hands of the Unholy Ones, a group of renagade excorsists who will stop at nothing until they slay every demon.

6. Til Death... (Icon Scarezone, Lower Lot)

The Bride is in the backlot and she has found her new groom to-be. Witness if you dare the terrifying nuptials in her wedding scaremony!

Terror Tram - The Legendary Truth: Don't Look Back...

A psychopathic serial killer is terrorizing the Taluca Lake area. After committing a series of bizarre murders based on notorious urban legends, the Legendary Truth Collective have brought it to themselves to investigate the murders, bringing along a film crew to document their search. Unbeknownst to them, investigation team as well as the film crew have become the newest targets of the murderer's twisted game...

Now it is up to you to survive this living nightmare where urban legends come true! So you better believe in urban legends, because what you don't believe can kill you!!

Two of your favorite stoner slackers have come here to Universal Studios in their attempt to find an In-N-Out joint but instead stumble upon the most notorious slashers in horror film history!

The students of Doomsdayle High welcome you to Halloween Horror Nights by performing a Pep Rally that'll send you screaming in terror!

4. Angela's Wedding Scareamony (Lower Lot)

Angela performs her long awaited wedding scareamony...

(Note to judges: This event is a combination of the best ideas I could possibly conjure up from my twisted mind, so for those who think they all are "repeats" from Game 1, let me just tell you that it's a new and improved version of it. Thank you! )

O... M... G. SO FREAKING EPIC. I hope that makes it to the finals as that is such a great contender. I got goosebumps just by reading it. That storyline is amazing as well. Very detailed and I love the way it fits with every maze but it doesn't INTRUDE on them by forcing itself to be necessarily apart of the mazes too boldly. I'd say more but it's not grading time yet!!!

I'm posting my event now. It's HHN 12 because the 86' event combined with 97'-00' and 06-present equals the 12th year of the event. For the mazes like Tim Burton and Edgar Allen Poe, I consider those movie mazes, not originals, from a marketing point of view.

Each house is connected to Amy in different ways, either Direct or Indirect.

Halloween Horror Nights XII: She's Here

Icon: Amy Barlow- In 1946 Amy Barlow was a little girl who lived near New York City, she was traumatized by her parents murder when she was just 7. At age 9 she lived with foster parents at a new home in a small town in Oregon. She lived in a large mansion where all her dreams could come true. That is until her Schoolteacher told her parents about how she had beaten a bully at school almost to death. Her parents then took away all priviledges for her. Well, that pushed her over the edge, Amy then exacted revenge on her parents killing them at the stroke of midnight on October 31st 1948. Only the police found out, and put her into Shadybrook Asylum for the criminally insane. Once Amy grew up, the inmates had decided they had enough of her violent rampages, and they killed her. But her soul never died and she wasn't very happy about being killed, her revenge is coming, this October to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. A group known as Legendary Truth has been investigating the events at Universal Studios and have linked them to Amy Barlow, who is all grown up and has decided to try to take over the park. Legendary Truth is trying to make her re-live various portions of her life, to send her back to the afterlife, starting at her very own birthplace, and you are caught in the middle. So try and escape Amy's nightmare of a life, and see how long you will last in this hell!

Houses

The Skoolhouse: The Curse of Amy Barlow [icon House] (Jurassic Park)- Amy Barlow was born in Hawthorn Hospital in 1939. Some say this is the year evil was born, others say it was when the devil first came to earth. As a child she went to the School right outside of the hospital, it was a small school, but all the kids made fun of her because of her parents death. After she had enough she burnt down the school completely to the ground. But now, the school magically reappeared this Halloween, but nobody knows how. The entire complex is now standing, the Hospital, the school house and even the cornfield in the back, and it's your turn to explore, beware for Amy doesn't like visitors in the Devil's Playground.

Nevermore: The Brink of Insanity (Wild West Venue)- As a child Amy had no friends. Her only friends were books, especially those written by Edgar Allen Poe. As she went Insane she believed that his stories were real, and guess what, they are. And Amy's taking you there, where there is no escape, and the only thing that will save you is Insanity. Good Luck!

Tim Burton's: The Hallow in 3D (Soundstage 37)- Amy's foster parents used to tell her stories of a mythical place called The Hallow, where the stories and traditions of Halloween are born. After Amy was admitted to Shadybrook Insane Asylum, she found this place was real, and she's inviting you to visit this horrific place, imagined by the one and only Tim Burton. These aren't just stories anymore.

Shadybrook: Die! Die! Die! (Waterworld Warehouse) As a patient of Shadybrook, Amy was an enemy. She even killed many patients that lived with her. One night, the inmates decided to plot against her to kill her. But something went wrong, her physical body died, but her soul remained, and she continued to torture the Inmates of Shadybrook. Amy also possessed the doctors so they would also torture the patients. Shadybrook has gone from a peaceful mental hospital to a living nightmare, and you're invited to come and play with Amy!

Paranormal Activity: Reborn (Tram Warehouse)- The home Amy Barlow lived in before she burnt it to the ground has been reformed, almost by magic. This leads some to believe that is haunted. The owners of the house say a little girl named Amy lives there as a ghost and that she has been trying to kill the residents. Legendary Truth investigated the house and found high amounts of Paranormal Activity in the house. The owners have asked you to see the activity with your own eyes, because you won't believe what this house is capable of.

Halloween: Where Evil Hides (Shrek Queue)- When Amy was an adult she was killed in Shadybrook Insane Asylum. One of the inmates who plotted and successfully killed her, was a patient named Michael Myers. Amy's ghost then decided to haunt him, and to get inside his head. This drove him even crazier, when he was transferred to Smith's Grove, Amy still continued to haunt him. He then vowed to stay silent to get rid of her. When that didn't work, he went on a murderous rampage now known as the "Babysitter Murders". Now the town of Haddonfield is living in fear, and there is only one reason for fear in Haddonfield. He's Back!

Terrorland: Happily Never After (Soundstage 34)- Amy Barlow loved amusement parks. Her Dad would take her every Sunday, but after his death, she couldn't stand them anymore. Merryland was a fun and happy theme park with Fairy Tale characters from all your favorite storybooks, but Amy changed all of that when she caused a death there. The park was shut down after that. But mysteriously, the park has reopened, but only at nighttime. Legendary Truth suspects a spirit is haunting the grounds of the former amusement park, and there is only one way to find out. Visit this hell yourself!

Terror Tram: Wake Up, It's Only A Nightmare

Amy is here on the Universal Backlot to turn her nightmares into reality. So come and find out what lies inside Amy's mind, and I'll tell you. It's not something you want to see.

This is just a rough description, the treatment will be posted if I make it to the Semi-Finals.

Whoville (Killy Wonka)- A story Amy loved is now become one of her Nightmare's. Where Killy Wonka is using people as his main ingredient in his chocolate.

Bates Motel (Horror Movie Scare-A-Thon)- All of Amy's favorite Horror films have come to life, in her sick and twisted mind. And now you're able to live (or die) through them.

Hill (The Wolfman 1940's)- As a child Amy loved the Wolfman, in fact she would watch it so much she would have dreams about it, and now you'll have nightmares from it, if you make it out unscathed.

Bates Mansion (Norman)- Same old, Same old.

WOTW (Reign of Terror)- Amy knows that in the future the U.S will experience it's second Civil War, where nuclear strikes are used on the U.S by the U.S. This resulted in a post-apocalyptic warzone where you have to fight against the undead and contaminated. An event known as the Reign of Terror will occur with a long period of horrible murders from Cannibals. Now you come in, and the soldiers are hungry. See how long you'll last.

Scarezones

Fear Comes Alive (Entrance to Blues Brothers)- The monsters that haunted Amy as a child have come to life here at Halloween Horror Nights. Now it's your turn to face your fears, and there is no escape.

Dante's Inferno (NY Street)- Sin City, NYC. The devil has come back to earth to reclaim NYC and torture all those who dare enter this hell. The Big Apple is now The Big Hell Hole, so don't cross the Brooklyn Bridge and enter this nightmare.

(Relation to Amy- She grew up near NYC)

Wizard of Claws (Western Street)- Amy's favorite movie has become her nightmare. Sadly we ARE in Kansas and the Wicked Witch has found her way here and turned everything into a living nightmare, bloodthirsty Scarecrows and cannibalistic munchkins, not to mention her monkey minions who will do anything for meat, and I mean anything.

The Swamp (Lower Lot)- A local power plant has been dumping toxic waste into the town swamp here, and somehow it got into the drinking water, contaminating everyone and turning them into bloodthirsty zombies from hell.

Alien Attack (T2:3D area)- As a child Amy had an encounter with aliens. Now, Researchers at the Franklin Institute of Technology have unlocked a portal to a different dimension. But they can't close it. Aliens from this dimension have transported from this portal to our world where they are planning to take over. End transmission

Horror Hall of Fame (Area in Front of Shrek to Studio Tour)- Come see this Amy's Horror Inductees such as Zombie Scarface, Norman Bates and many more, only at the Horror Hall of Fame Scare-a-monies, this Halloween Season. First come first bite.

Streets of Blood (Baker Street)- London, Whitechapel 1888. The gruesome Jack the Ripper (Amy's Great Grandfather) murders have just begun. And you are caught in the middle. Remember what you can't see will hurt you, so stay out of any alleyways.

Reign of Terror (French Street)- The French Revolution, started by Amy's own ancestor Robespierre, has begun, and the Reign of Terror is here. But for some reason, it never ended, it keeps going on until their is nobody left to kill, except for you!

Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure (Castle Theater)- Say hello to your most excellent hosts through the year's pop culture screw ups. But be warned Steve Jobs has returned from the dead and is back to make this world an Apple world. Will iBill and iTed be able to stop him from this chaos? Probably not. But come and see them try, iwill be there.

Slaughterworld (Waterworld)- The polar ice caps have melted, and Al Gore was prepared. He built a floating city called an atoll where people can find refuge. But the only people there now are Barrack Obama, Justin Bieber and a few other pop culture icons. See who will last the longest, here in Slaughterworld.

Gory Gruesome and Grotesque Horror Magic Show (Animal Actors)- Join the league Magic Wizards through amazing and sometimes death defying tricks that will have you laughing at every turn this show takes. Come prepared that this show is not for kids, or squares.

Rocky Horror Picture Show: A Tribute (T2:3D)- Frankenfurter has created a man, with blonde hair and a tan, and he wants you all to come up to the lab to see what's on the slab. So travel with us to the planet Transexual in the Galaxy of Transylvania, for this Time Warp through the galaxies.

Rides

Simpsons Ride: Presents the Treehouse of Horrors- Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie are back this Halloween presenting their own special edition, the Treehouse of Horrors. All your favorite Treehouse stories come to life in fabulous 2D for this special one of a kind ride, only at Krustyland.

Revenge of the Mummy the Ride- In Egypt an archeiological dig has awoken the spirit and tomb of Imhotep, and he's mad. So board a special Mine Car to silence this demon once and for all, or he'll silence you.

Jurassic Park in the Dark- Think Dinosaurs are scary? Wait til you see this, when the power went out at the Jurassic Park complex. The dinos are out of there cages and are hungry for fresh meat, and you seem to be the dinner special.

Tranformers: The Ride- Go through the Transformers film series for the first time ever at a Theme Park, but watch out for Megatron, and his evil force of decipticons.

Coming in September 2012, Universal Studios and AsylumSB bring you an all new Halloween Horror Nights: Nightmares Beyond Imagination, a horror filled event of movie-themed properties, terrifying original mazes, scarezones, shows, rides and all new Terror Tram! "We are going to be expanding on our horror brand with some surprise partnerships" states AsylumSB/HHN's Creative Mastermind Juan Mulder. "Use your imagination"!

(In other words, I will posting my event soon.) On a serious note, this is just round one?! Awesome job. When reading the entries, I get the Orlando HHN vibe with their history of thematic stories and "sequel-worthy" mazes.

Alright here is the idea i decided to go with. Not my most original or as original as the other great ideas/events on here, some might get mad with the icons haha, but here we go:

Halloween Horror Nights 2012 presents Freddy Vs Jason: Winner Kills All

ICON: Freddy Krueger and Jason Vorhees, two of the most iconic slashers in horror movie history. We all know of their legendary reign of terror that they have done individually, but what happens when they meet face to face? This year at Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights horror icons collide and are fighting over who gets the glory. After a few years of his last known prescence at Halloween Horror Nights, and after learning of Halloween Horror Night's increase in guests over the years,Freddy Krueger feels it is time to make a return. Problem is, almost everybody is sick of him being at HHN. Nobody wants Freddy to return for a long while. Big mistake as far as Freddy is concerned. Freddy, angry over the people who dont want him and are forgetting about him, resurects Jason Vorhees from his watery grave in an attempt to make people remember and to take revenge on them. Severall crew members were reported dead after these known events, and many say they see a figure in a hockey mask at those scenes. As Jason keeps killing, Fredy gets angrier. Freddy wants to be the "star" of the show. He wants the spotlight all to himself, and he feels Jason is stealing his thunder. Now Freddy prepares to end Jason's series of murders so that he can have all of the Halloween Horror Nights guests all to himself. Jason, however, wont back down without a fight. Freddy and Jason are fighting over who takes control of HHN this year, while you get caught up in the middle of it. Each has brought their own piece of Hell with them. (other mazes) One thing is for certain: whoever wins, we die.

SCAREZONES

1. Place Your Bets (Entrance): Enter the "Battle of Evil" as dead go- go dancers welcome you. (One is a victim of Freddy, one a victim of Jason, more on that if I advance)

2. Smells Like Your Spirit (New York Street): The steets of New York has been overrun by cannibal witches looking to add to their collection of souls. If they like what they smell, then you can kiss your soul goodbye. Just hope you taste as good as you smell.

3. Battle at Western Street (Western Street): Freddy and Jason are not the only ones battling. Two cowboy posses who were killed in battle long ago have returned to finish what was started. (At times, guests get caught up in a live battle between the two gangs.

4. Night of The Beasts (London Street): Best be careful walking through these streets. Even though these "beasts" have been caught and on their way back to town for research, you never know if the men escorting them have secured the chains, restraining the beasts from a bloody rampage , tight enough. An attack is possible.

5. Prepare for Battle (Lower Lot, before icon house): Freddy and Jason minions are all that stand in your way to witness the clash of two horror icons.

MAZES

1. Freddy Vs. Jason: Winner Kills All (Icon House, Mummy Extended Queue): Enter the battlefield of two notorious killers. With blood,guts, blades, and dead bodies everwhere, you make your way through this "dream battle." Make a few bets, and maybe some predictions. Not like it matters though. Even if you win your bet, you won't be alive long enough to celebrate it.

2. Jeepers Creepers: What's Eating You (WWW): Its been 23 years since the last known killing of The Creeper. Now he is back and looking for fresh meat. Will you be able to survive his bloodthirsty rampage? Or will you fall victim and become a part of The Creeper's legacy.

3. Mythical Mayhem: Seeing Is Believing (JP): Ever wonder if all of the myths and urban legends you were once told to were real? This will answer your questions. Encounter legendary creatures such as the Yeti, the Mothman, evil orcs and more. There will be no doubt in your mind after this once in a lifetime experience.

4. Are You Afraid of the Dark? (Shrek): Afraid of the dark? Then you won't want to enter this terrifying experience. Walk through cemetaries, mourges, catacombs and more creepy environments and encounter terrifying creatures with your only source of lighting is your flashlight. (Each guest is given a flashlight at the entrance)

5. Thir13en Ghosts in 3D (T2): Enter Cyrus's estate, prison to 12 haunting ghosts. Most ghosts dont want to hurt you, however there are some exceptions. Walk through the infamous glass house in an emmersive 3D environment. Be sure to watch your back and stay alive, you might just end up joining the ghosts in their prison.

6. Pirates: The Undead Sea (Waterworld Warehouse): pirates have risen from their graves and are looking to raise more hell than ever before. Make your way though lands the pirates have taken over, then onto the ship that was the site of their demise. Make your way through the seas and try to stay alive. The captain of the ship is always looking for new crewmembers.

TERROR TRAM: Tale of Two Slashers

Board the Terror Tram, Universal's signature attraction. Here you will learn why Freddy and Jason have returned and why they are fighting over all of you. Walk through cabins, boiler rooms and scenes that only seem possible in the dream world. There are even dozens of fans in the backlot that have set up an area supporting either Freddy or Jason. Neither have cared too much for "fans" though. So who do you have, the slicer or the dicer?

SHOWS

Horror Hunters (Castle): Join a group of hunters as they take on the forces of evil in the world. From vampires to Kardashians, watch as these hunters try to make the world a better, and smarter, place.

RIDES

The Simpsons Ride: Join Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, and the rest of the Simpsons characters as they have an adventure as only The Simpsons can. Also, enjoy Treehouse Of Horror Clips as you wait in line.

Jurrasic Park:In the Dark: The lights are out at Jurassic Park. Fight your way through bloodthirsty dinosaurs as you venture through in complete darkness.

The Mummy : Ride fowards and backwards in this adventure through terriyfing mummy's and the infamous Imotep (correct spelling? lol)

I also have a ride I created that is based on a popular movie franchise, but I am not sure if I can do that...Judges?

O... M... G. SO FREAKING EPIC. I hope that makes it to the finals as that is such a great contender. I got goosebumps just by reading it. That storyline is amazing as well. Very detailed and I love the way it fits with every maze but it doesn't INTRUDE on them by forcing itself to be necessarily apart of the mazes too boldly. I'd say more but it's not grading time yet!!!

Scarezones:

Hell for the Holidays(entrance):Sam has not come alone. He has brought with him crazed and insane chainsaw weilding minions. Wander through a whimsical yet terrifying world where something lurks around every corner.

Carnage and Chaos(ny stree): The m3T virus has escaped the b.s institute of biology, and is spreading across the big apple. The virus has caused inoccent citizens to mutate into cannibalistic monsters. Carrying chainsaws,They will stop at nothing to get their meat.

Gargoyles(french street):the terrifying statues of paris have mysteriously come to life. They stalk every corner blending into their enviorments and flying over the night sky.proceed with caution, you may never make it out alive.

The exicuted(baker street): poor prisoners......persicuted off of false accusations, left to rot in the fields of Englands country side, but now theyll get their revenge. They have come back from the dead and vengance is theirs

The Wendigo(western street): the vengful cannibalistic spirit of native american folklore has arrived, and is looking for fresh meat. But just remember those who enter are bound to get eaten

Time to play(flinstones to tram):the toys and play things you knew as a child are back, and theyve changed. No longer do they like imaginary tea,but now they love the taste of human flesh.Theyre here....and they want revenge

INDUSTRIALS(lower lot):the human race have been over thrown and is now ran by human/machine hybrids. they no want to make more of their kind, but to do that they need to "borrow" parts from us.Its harvesting time....and nobody's safe.

Due to the irresponsible behavior during the halloween season, Sam has turned the backlot into a world of halloween practices and punishments.

Sam and Co.(whoville): Sam has conjured up some friends using the essence of halloween

Wedding reception(bates motel): a newly wedded couple has decided it would be "cute" to have their wedding during the halloween season.But Sam is not worried he has asked some friends (villans from the movie)to take care of the problem.

Coven of blood(wilderness path): the children of the night have risen from their slumber and are stalking the forest and blackwell village for fresh kill.

Deads and Demons(WotW):The rules of halloween have been direspected for the last time! Sam has allowed the spirits of the underworld to rise and reak havoc across the world.

Folklore of fear(jurrasic queue): Night has taken over, and the villagers of brimington have locked their doors. For the creatures we thought were imaginary have taken over and are ruling the evening as they roam the village looking for fresh kill. the sun has fallen, the full moon has risen, and the fog has rolled in. Your fate is in their hands as you enter a realm of fear and horror

Shifters(Mummy queue): a portal has opened releasing creatures that are able to change their form into any figure they like to. Theyve taken over the city of Killem, looking for a delicious meal. You cant trust anyone as you walk through this city of terror and confusion.

Carnivore:the taste of flesh(WWW): Journey through the playa del sol rainforest, where a Cannibalistic tribe roams lusting for the taste of human flesh. The sights and sound of this beautiful place have faded away, leaving a realm of torture and rotting flesh. Be warned........for non have escped the wrath of the ungoli tribe.

American horror Story:The Harmen Estate(Stage 29): Experience the horror established by years and years of deaths in one Los Angeles home. The horror and Anguish of the Harmen family is now your problem as you roam this house with the spirits trapped in it stalking you at every corner. Your gunna regret it.......your gunna regret it.

The Reapers:underworld of anguish(HoH): The grim reaper's realm is a world a horrid sights and souls,and now you get to walk through it. Roam the underworld as him,his captured souls,and minions lurk aat every corner scheming and preparing to steal your precious soul.

Enter a house of spirits .........where nothing has stayed the same.

The Ring:She never sleeps(shrek queue): Samara has cursed a whole city with her wrath.How you ask? With a simple vcr tape .Witness the horror as one by one citizens are killed off with their faces streched open and their skin turned pale green. Their deaths only brought apon only by a peice of plastic. Be thankful for your life, you may only have seven days to live...

I've deleted my character bios, I just thought it was too much work than necessary, so I didn't think they were needed. Not to mention, they gave a lot away from my mazes. I might include them in the maze treatments but it'll be more of a summary of the characters plight than a full-blown story, since the mazes can explain themselves well enough. I like rully want Round 2 to come by soon because everyone's event looks super awesome, can't wait to see their treatments! And I really really really I can't wait to show my treatments!!
