  1. Haha, that's weird that it's just...there on youtube, but thanks.
  2. Boy, do I love me a Michael house. Haven't seen the film, but I plan to.
  3. Since I've hit my reaction limit for the day due to catching up on 2-weeks of threads, thanks.
  4. Houses Carnival Graveyard - Sounds game changing from what the designers have been sharing. Dead Exposure: Patient Zero - I know people have been talking down this one, but I'm still just so damn pumped for it. Halloween 4 - I just love Michael houses. Slaughter Sinema - I love the idea for this one, and everything they've shown has me excited, but could end up being more of a comedy house than a scare house. Seeds of Extinction - Seems to have some serious scare potential. Blumhouse 2 - Sounds like the concepts with HDD could be interesting, and the Purge section actually being designed for the Purge won't hurt. Trick R Treat - Been there, kinda did that. Prob will be way better in a house though. Poltergeist - Still haven't seen the film, but I like when they do legacy IPs. Prob will go up when I get to watching the film. Scary Tales: Deadly Ever After - Meh, might surprise me but Scary Tales isn't really my thing. Stranger Things - Don't really like the show, so if it's a house focused on showing off the scenes it'll be a snoozer. The Demogorgon is the literal only thing I'm at all excited for. Zones Killer Klowns from Outer Space - Still haven't came down from the orgasm this announcement gave me. Revenge of Chucky - Same with Carnival, the premise isn't the most interesting but the designer talk has me hyped. Twisted Traditions - Nothing that new or interesting, but recent scenic work has me pumped. Vamp '85 - Should be fun, but could be executed poorly. The Harvest - Stupid fucking photo-op zone: Round 2
  5. That wouldn't make sense, as the first scene seems to be
  6. Wow, they’re really going in and trying to become a big player in the haunt scene. Competition is good. Let’s see if they compete.
  7. I disagree with every opinion you just said about those two houses, which hilariously proves our point, doesn't it?
  8. I wouldn't assume your own opinion on a house based on only the projected opinion of another's. Different strokes for different folks.
  9. At the moment I'd say Carnival Graveyard, not from the official promo but from the descriptions it has been getting from Legacy and the designer on Twitter. Sounds like something next-level for HHN.
  10. Not sure about Evil Dead or HoH but Purge and Hive were both overlays of IP houses that fell through, Scream and The Conjuring respectively. The Shrek house doesn’t seem to be that kind of house, just one that wasn’t certain to be built until pretty late in planning this year’s event.
  11. Yes. According to Legacy, it was between a second show and a 10th house in Shrek. It was obviously a pretty late decision as earlier marketing this year stated 9 houses.
  12. The "Rust in Pieces" subtitle isn't what I'm referring to, I actually quite like that bit. However, I think when people see the big, bright carnival letters portraying "Carnival Graveyard," (The most prominent feature of the logo) they will immediately think that this is just another clown-or circus-based house, although it seems this is much more. It consisted of mostly raw footage of the abandoned park, and while it fit the mood, the two other originals announced so far got much more complex trailers. Also, you're very right, that screaming guest clip was worse than usual, and honestly it was the main reason I made the comment about the trailer. I don't think including footage from the house is realistic nor necessary, the 3 good trailers used either re-used stock footage, past years' event footage, or completely new footage.
  13. I’d love a dual-run house, any thoughts on the reason they haven’t been done in a while?
  14. The main London land from King’s Cross to the old Amity bathrooms is clearly not allowed to House a zone, as it would disturb the theming of the area. However, the waterfront path that features no Harry Potter or even London theming seems to be more of a gray area as to whether they can place a zone there, but I think it’d be fine as it isn’t really part of the London theme, it’s more of a bypass path.
  15. Oh yeah...I could see that for the area around F&F but London waterfront and FFL aren't close enough to the lagoon show for that to be a problem.
  16. Theming wise (gif of American psycho “maybe...I don’t know) but attraction wise... (gif of yeah it’s gonna be a no from me dog) gifs don’t always work on mobile. This year’s scarezones are gonna feel like that, but for various reasons I think it’ll be better during 29: 1. Universal now knows that everyone hates F&F so A&D (or whoever is in charge of zone planning)’ll be able to put a zone in front of it. 2. If FFL is closed by then the area in front wouldn’t have to worry about the show’s crowds. 3. If this year’s zone management feels lopsided they might finally try to use the London waterfront bypass path, a perfect place for a zone that could actually feature a set. Who was 25’s icon again?
  17. This looks great, seems to combine the huge scope and great details of Dead Waters with some more experimentally open ideas. Might not be the scariest, but this sounds like it’ll have an atmosphere you can slice with a knife. Name’s a bit generic honestly, I was hoping for something other than literally “Carnival Graveyard,” and the trailer is tied with TrT for the weakest, but those two things have no real influence on the house’s quality. Looking forward to this one, but not sure where to put it on my hype list at the moment.
  18. Well, for example, last year most felt that Dead Waters was felt “too short,” and that was in...a soundstage. I see where you’re coming from, but location doesn’t affect a house nearly as much as you would think.
  19. Pretty sure @Legacy said it’ll be in a sprung.
