  1. I'm really glad you're enjoying it - that's the best part of HHN, just being able to enjoy it! I have found over the years that my ultimate enjoyment comes more from actor interaction than the sets. Not that I don't love great sets - I think Uni is the best at that. If you get both, what a treat! But if I have to choose, I'll take the actors every time. As always, my runs on Thursday were sheer delight. I got to open and close my night in this house, so I had great bookends for my evening. I still say the white suited gentlemen are some of the most polite you will find anywhere. And talented - combining courtesy and scream inducing scares is not an easy task! I've noticed that our Black Widows are becoming VERY good at taking advantage of the timing of the strobes - it's slightly reminiscent of HOH or DE when I'm going through, and suddenly find a spider lady RIGHT in my face. Mom and Dad are always good, but now that I know the showman is behind the window, I keep getting distracted by that as well. Ah, my jock - how many more delightful ways can we greet each other? Also, just be aware that when thumb wrestling with an arthritic - you're gonna win Helzo - your timing is impeccable, sir. Keep that up and you'll end up ripping the tonsils right out of my throat!! Great work, love seeing you! Alice - you already have my heart, you don't need to keep digging more out of that poor coma patient. And my finale showman - your charisma and energy is first rate, top notch. I just love the interaction we have at the end. Really, I could just move into that room - you could store me right by the guillotine. A few crackers and daily Nightmare, and I'm good. Love to you all! On a more serious note, I'm quite distressed to hear our good doctor was attacked and taken to the hospital. If he does not read these boards, please extend my concern and best wishes to him. I hope everything is 100% okay, and if I'm able to make it on Sunday, to be able to interact again. Complete bullcrap for something like this to happen. Everyone - please take care!
  2. Did a run here Thursday about 7:15, and I'm not really sure which cast I got. Whichever it was, I got a great 1-2-3 attack from Siegfried, Roy AND Elvis. So it was a good night. And props as always to the clowns at the end - always good to exit a house with the total shivers. And I finally got a whiff of the aroma at the buffet. Even if the offerings are radioactive, you still need to check the expiration date. Sarmoti!
  3. Two great runthroughs on Thursday, got to see both casts. I had previously said that the darkness in the house was working negatively for me, regardless of if it was day or night. I was wrong. I got to do a night time run on Thursday, and I was finally able to pay attention to the sets and actors, instead of worrying about running into the folks ahead of me in line. Special shoutout to Frankenstein's monster on cast B - your greeting never goes out of style, regardless of where I find you. Also props to both sets of finale actors - each seems to have a different way to implement their group scares, but both are very effective - and fun! I also feel really bad in the Mummy area - the go-around for the duck room comes out BEHIND the mummy at the end, so I have to always interrupt him to get around him. But the cast B Mummy was kind enough to shoot me with the air cannon. A lot. A whole lot. And I liked it... You are all classics!
  4. This doesn't surprise me - as much as I love going inside to get terrorized, I also tend to feel oddly secure in the houses. I think maybe we all have each other's backs - they probably know if anyone screws with my scareactors, I will mow their ass down with my tricked out manual four wheeler. And it's good to know that the fella that has my back also carries a machete
  5. Yes, they're responding pretty rapidly to email requests - emailed them about my Triad earlier, and I have the badge now. Hopefully that will help bring a few more 5 visit badges tomorrow.
  6. RIP Mongo. Never a pawn - you were a king.

  7. I'm probably talking out of my bum here, which is my second language. But - I think so many of us were anticipating it so much that it would have been impossible to totally live up to that. Parts of the house toward the end also feel a bit lightly populated, at least to me. I've been advised that this house has the largest population in the park, so the not-so-warm bodies are there. I don't really know the answer - spacing of actors? Size of some of the rooms? I've never worked a house, so I really don't know that any of my ideas have any merit. Still - my most recent run was the best yet. The actors in this house really do bring it! Each night I go, I encounter more and more aggression, which I personally really enjoy. Maybe if I disconnect from TWD and take the house as its own entity, I can greater appreciate what we do have here. And I really do love that door. Seriously. If I can't dismantle the AC house and take it home, I want to dismantle that door and take it home.
  8. I may be misinterpreting what you mean here - if so, please forgive me. However, in defense of the hospital (since it's my favorite room), there is a really good scare that takes advantage of the distraction provided by that wonderful Dead Inside door. Like any house, though, not everyone gets every scare (trust me, I invented bad timing). That said, thank you for your review and thoughts about your experience!
  9. Due to the lines and no Express Pass for the night, I didn't get to hit this house last night. HOWEVER, I was in the queue for AC when one of the casts was crossing into their house (I THINK it was cast A, but not sure). These folks gave 100% to us in line, in character (that chef is for real gonna slice my throat). Brief encounter, but I had to say good job, even in transit!
  10. I've tried to put my shout outs from last night in the individual topics, but wasn't sure where to put this. So... Much applause to the younger of Rat Lady's escorts. We had multiple en route encounters last night, and it is ALWAYS such a treat to share greetings. If you are visiting the Rat Lady, watch this escort as he slowly paces throughout the crowd. The creep factor is spot on. While I suspect we may have had encounters in a previous incarnation - well, heck, I just don't know who or where that was. REGARDLESS - great fun as always - thanks, and look forward to more nights!
  11. It must be made of the hearts of the most recent bell tower intruders. Ranch dressing has been supplanted in favor of Honey Mustard
  12. I didn't get to spend as much time with this legion last night as I'd hoped. However, I do want to acknowledge the two-faced beast over by MIB. Or is that an Iniquitus? I'm so confused. Nonetheless, it was great interaction topped off by a great in my face scare. Kudos!
  13. Had a great time watching this legion in multiple locations last night. FINALLY got to interact a bit with the hooded Master - a long overdue pleasure! I saw on FB that Gloria Estefan was one of the vampires last night. I truly don't know if we interacted or not, but there were SO many of the ladies on the attack last night, I just had a blast with them all! And... I could swear I saw Angel in Central Park. Who I don't remember seeing before. But thoroughly enjoyed the exchange and soulful glances. So... if I can't have a minion, or a conquistador, or a warrior for Christmas - I want a Christmas Angel.
  14. I FINALLY got to spend some time watching and interacting with this legion. Holy crap, Michele was right. These guys are everywhere - crawling, jumping, totally in everyone's face. They are going to weigh 16 pounds by the end of the event, they are so energetic. Special mention to Senor Caliente, who targeted me multiple times as I was headed through New York. Headed through New York to the bathroom - it was a miracle I didn't experience a premature pee. You really can sit and watch these guys for hours. And they have extremely hot breath. In case you were wondering. Thanks for a great night gentlemen, you are a blast!
  15. The ladies were completely ramped up and insane last night, to my delight. My biggest shoutout is to the one that offered to saw off a new pair of legs for me, then proceeded to rampage into the street in search of new limbs. I'll buy a hat to take off to you!
  16. Such great fun last night! I felt SOOOO bad for the ballerina who was expecting candy from me this time - and I didn't have any more! I really did get some, and it really did get eaten *cough* me *cough*. Also the young lady who keeps accusing Dr. Jimmy of poisoning her - one of the best performances ever! It's really tough to watch a little girl cry like that. Even when she does decide what she really wants is "FRESH MEAT"!! And the witches and vampires and all those with Nightmares shout outs - happy Halloween yet again!
  17. A really high intensity run through last night! The gargoyle in the very first room throttled me roundly - and the best reaction of all was the guest freaking out behind me! Had several close encounters in those first couple of rooms, and thoroughly enjoyed them all. I was finally able to provide the condiment of choice to the guardian of the belltower - hopefully that will provide safe passage throughout the rest of the event. Scares were very on point last night - and house is lovely as always. Kudos to all of you, I look forward to my next trip!
  18. I spent a long time last night watching this horde, and just had the best time. The walkers provide a good variety of scare action, and the reactions of the guests are just priceless. One of them was so freaked out she actually ran into me sitting there! I assume she was okay, she got up and ran off . Can't forget the numerous growls and bites from an all too familiar walker that I was trying to keep my eye on (and often failed). And after that time - I think that this walker is in the street? Or maybe her sister - if only I had a door knob for her to rattle. Great work teams!
  19. Had my best run yet through this house last night right after opening. The opening hospital scene continues to get more aggressive, really a highlight. And that dark haired walker in there takes a chunk out of me every time through, I swear. Got lots of extra aggression in the store and changing rooms, and the tag teams were spot on. I'm noticing more smoke and burning smell in the barn now (although I do miss the horse poo). And I'm getting extremely curious about the walker in the barn that seems to know me better than I realize. Now if only I can time myself better for the sheriff walker, I'd be quite clam happy.
  20. I find I'm running out of new things to say in praise of my experiences in this house. So, since it is Welcome to my Nightmare - the cast genuinely makes me Welcome every time I'm here, and I just may end up checking in and not checking out. The usual suspects know who they are - plus last night the ops gentleman in Feed my Frankenstein that gave me hand hearts after I gave hand hearts to Alice. Hand hearts to everyone! (Just leave mine beating in my chest please). Save a white jacket for me.
  21. I agree with everyone else here - I had my best run yet last night through this house right at opening. The scares are really getting on target, and the finale is just insane in its goodness. I'm getting some major fondness for Frankenstein's creature - and is that Igor in close proximity to him? Couldn't quite tell, but love the interaction! I still wish I could soak in more of the sets that are there, but I still am overly concerned about crashing into the guests in front of me. Another great night!
  22. October 6, 2012. In serious contention for personal best night of HHN ever!

  23. I'll put my shoutouts after I get 19 hours of sleep, but I did want to put one out there now. The ceiling gag happened to the person right in front of me, and I whined something like "I always miss that scare". Our ceiling scareactor (helzo, I think it was you), was kind enough to pop right back down again to allow me my scare. Now that's service!!
  24. Did Triad again tonight - erm, last night. Saturday. Still didn't get the badge, though. Did get my 5 times through Alice Cooper, though.
