brianbyrd88 Posted October 10, 2013 Share Posted October 10, 2013 Green Spruce Post Office Bill Wayne Patterson, a once loyal and dedicated mailroom worker, is bitter… Bill worked for 22 years both in mail delivery and in the mailroom. However, in 2002, Bill’s employment and his passion for logistics were cut short when he was terminated after being falsely accused of mail theft. The past decade has been tough for Bill, especially after the place he called “home” was shutdown in 2004 because of toxic black mold and structural issues. Working odd jobs ever since, Bill never found another passion and his former career became his obsession. His anger towards the public has grown, as he views people as being unappreciative of his former craft. The location that was once Green Spruce Post Office has since been the site of prostitution, vandalism and vagrancy. This once well maintained facility nestled in a remote location has turned into an overgrown and forgotten part of the city of Bloomfield’s history. The windows are broken; vines cover the exterior, and rumors of the facility being haunted by the ghost of a former employee who was gunned down by authorities after he pulled a gun on his co-workers persist. On October 31st, 2013 Bill is reopening Green Spruce Post Office; the public is invited to celebrate this reopening with him, as Bill promises a “new take” on shipping. In addition since the location is now under private management, he is dedicated to lower prices by taking a few “cost-cutting” measures. The haunted house is half outside in the driveway and half in the garage. We have all had time as scareactors at HHN in the past.
