It reminds me of a Far Side panel where God was participating in a game show, winning hundreds of points to -5. The author says that even if the human contestant had any points it would have meant he'd beaten God to the buzzer at least once, and someone would have gotten mad.

I'm a fan of (the first) Insidious and (the first) Sinister, but yeah, Blumhouse sounds terrible.

Very first review (well, tweet) I've read of (our) Shining was very positive. IDK, is it just me or was this house not really that talked about, in favor of AHS and Blumhouse (neither of which i have any interest)?

I would say that no one would be sad if Blumhouse got scrapped, but I'm concerned about them finding somewhere else for the actors hired for it if it does. Hey, Legacy did say that the houses this year would especially rely on cast, so Blumhouse scrapped = more actors/house? Trying to find a silver lining to Irma.

I suspect they were waiting for this announcement before they announced the originals. Since they were supposedly having trouble w it, that would be the reason for the delay.

Will anyone in the know be able to tell us what happened behind closed doors with the "Soul Collectors?" And will the drama have an effect on the actual event quality? Everything I've heard about the houses themselves sounds great.

Sorry to sidetrack, but they BETTER not replace MIB with a ride based on a beat for beat Toy Story ripoff.

At least it takes place in multiple rooms. I'm betting the twins are going to be a mirror trick.

Yeah, it kind of felt like they threw Lair of the Banshee together at the last minute. ER looks like it was an outstanding scare zone, and I look forward to TrT this year.

Did you not see Legacy saying how good the houses will be this year? I know you filter out anything positive but yeah. Your first year was 2004 (the era where EVERYTHING was perfect ) and there wasn't really a cohesive theme, plus in your wishlist at the beginning of the thread, you said please no clowns or zombies. So other than the obvious reason, I have no idea why you hate the idea of Soul Collectors. Oh and if they did Tales of Terror this year you'd complain to no end about Storyteller being slapped on by marketing over Terra Cruentas. I agree with you about PC though. Everyone, left and right, is offended by something nowadays. Also JungleSkip says there's another shoe waiting to drop. Very worried it's a non-screen ride. If it's not MIB or Mummy, I can rest easy. Hope to god it's T2.

Someone on IU said that B&T might be closing because political jokes would be unwelcome at a time when the country is so divided. See, that's EXACTLY why we need political satire in the first place! But I digress, since the most recent variation of the rumor is that HHN would be affected.

Do you know this? THANK GOD. I'm thinking/hoping it's T2. Fits the criteria--wouldn't affect HHN, it's not ET or MIB. And it's fairly dated. It'd cause some to be disappointed but it wouldn't be really that severe a s-storm. When it comes to the Hollywood area, I much prefer Horror Makeup Show.
