  1. Being in the Hollywood section of Universal in between Mel's and Horror Makeup Show will always remind me of HHN now because I spent so much time there last year in the amazing Fear Revealed scarezone.
  2. I love the idea of claustrophobia in a house, and even though I've heard they were a capacity nightmare, I'd love for them to bring the inflatable walls back. But unfortunately it's hard to do small spaces because the houses need to be wheelchair accessible. This still could be compensated for by hanging extra stuff in your face (which they already do). The descent was a great movie too. Lots of jump scares that you don't get in too many movies anymore.
  3. That's how I feel as well. I'm worried that with all this hype and talking about "A New Era of Darkness", we're going to find out what this year is and people are going to be let down. I still have faith in A&D and won't make a judgement on the event until I actually go to it myself, of course.
  4. I'd love to see them use IOA since I've never experienced the even there before, but I don't think it will be put in IOA or in both parks again unless some majors things change. As it's been said a bunch of times before, they can't use Seuss landing OR Potter, which basically makes the half of the park closest to USF useless. since Disney owns Marvel now that might pose some problems too. The only parts of IOA even usable anymore are Jurassic Park and the tiny remains of Lost continent. We all would love to see scarezones in Jurassic Park again but it just doesn't seem logical.
  5. I like a few hints and clues, and I do like knowing the theme a month ahead of time, but I try to avoid reading walkthroughs or scare spoilers before going. If someone finds a blueprint, I will look at it and speculate though, because it doesn't really give much away.
  6. I really hope not, but there's no way we will know until we start going through the houses. I was one of the people that was really bugged by the open ceiling houses as well, and most of them last year were like that. It was just more noticeable in the soundstages because the ceilings are so much higher. Unfortunately, we may see this again this year, because there are certain advantages to building houses this way, such as saving money by using the same lights for more than one room.
  7. Wow, I guess if Disaster is like that then the rest of the houses at the very least must have the floorplan all layed out at the very least. Construction is definitely happening..we just aren't seeing aaanything.
  8. stalk stalk stalk

  9. I finally set my background to something custom!

  10. Harry Potter was mentioned both times in the last two years if I remember correctly, and I think it was specifically because of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. While it may not be one of the show's main jokes, I wouldn't be surprised if it was mentioned again this year.
  11. Honestly I think we can have a realistic serial killer house with an original story without having to use the names of real murderers. When designing the house the creators are going to take inspiration from real life events anyway.
  12. You consider the paranormal to be under the reality catagory? Then in that case I'm all for the reality side of things 90% of the time. Things like Catacombs and War of the Living Dead are the most interesting to me when it comes to scenery and immersiveness, however when it comes down to what actually scares me and makes me jump in the night when walking down a dark hallway, it's all the paranormal that freaks me out. We all know monsters, aliens, vampires and werewolves aren't real. But what about ghosts, demons, and other things spiritual or paranormal? Because if you can't see it, how do you know it doesn't exist?
  13. Having my 21st birthday a month before opening weekend reminds me of how much fun I'm going to have at HHN this year.
  14. I can still make you that wallpaper if you want. Just send me the picture of Jack and anything else you want included in it

  15. It still could happen. You never know.
  16. I know that Aiello is no longer going to have as much of a connection with the show anymore because he is moving up higher in control of the event as a whole. But as far as I know B&T should be returning as usual, with a different writer.
  17. The first picture is the Cats n Combs/Chucky tent, and the second pic is the spawning/Havoc tent. I can never get the names right on tent 1 and tent 2. Also the picture was taken from the simpsons building, if that helps
  18. I visited the parks on Wednesday, here's a few pictures for you guys. All pictures were taken from guest accessible areas. (Click on the thumbnails for really large versions) Also, we have proof that construction is about to begin in the Jaws queue!
  19. Whenever I run my fog machine and I smell the fog (which smells exactly the same as what Universal uses) it reminds me of HHN. Plus pretty much any time I'm in Universal at night it reminds me of HHN. Btw Cody, I love how your sig and avatar match the orange Staff icon. That looks awesome!
  20. The Terra Cruentas symbol? I searched and was surprised I couldn't find anything on google. But I do have a picture of it that I took in the VIP lounge last year. EDIT: That's what I get for not refreshing the page before I reply...
  21. Are we going to be getting codenames like we did last year? Like a word or two for each location that doesn't give anything away? Or does that happen later? Once we get something like that we're really going to have something to speculate on. eww
  22. If anything special does occur, it usually would be on the very last night of the event, during the last set, often in the scarezones. In 2005 when the Terra Queen was sacrificed, that must have been something that was planned out ahead of time, but the scareactors will often go above and beyond or have more fun on the very last night to go out with a bang. This is a video I recorded in Fear Revealed on closing night to show you what I mean: Also, if you and your friends want to maximize your experiences, you should order a Horror Night Nightmares T-Shirt They make scarezones 10x more fun
  23. I've known about HHN ever since that Halloween Horror Nights special aired on the travel channel, the one showcasing the year with the caretaker, probably back in 2002. That is why he is my favorite icon, because I've always associated him with the event the most. Then, in 2005 when I owned my first annual pass to Universal, I got the flyer in the mail advertising HHN and I really wanted to go. It had the storyteller on it and I still have it. But it wasn't until 2009 that I finally was able to go, since my parents wouldn't go with me and they wouldn't let me go up by myself until I was 19.
  24. I hung out with him for a few hours at one of his shows down here in Fort Lauderdale, and he said at the moment he is still open for all of October and Universal has told him he can book shows during that time if he wants since they currently don't have plans to have him back. As a fan of Brian though I'd love to see him back at HHN. ...and now back to the speculation on the post above ^^ which I'm sure more people care about than what I just said.
