  1. ^that is a completely false accusation for the house. The Bloody Mary tie-in was only known by the fanboys, not the general public. DE's execution was unique and actually made a zombie house that WASN'T "generic" or boring. The house probably got more scares than say Zombiegeddon in 2010. And as for saying something doesn't fit because it may lack detail compared to the other houses is a little odd considering the level of detail that went into the houses in 2008. To say it "doesn't fit" is rather premature considering it & everything else for the event hasn't even been revealed yet.
  2. Common misconception. Nazermans still exists, BUT it is used as a green room for Blues Brothers and the rest is used for storage. Starbucks & Ben/Jerrys is located in the building next to Nazermans divided by Sting Alley. The location that Dr Jimmy is hinting at is the parade building.
  3. Okay first of all.... capslock... not necessary 2ndly... "In the beginning" the 7th house was located in SS44 which is now i pile of dirt with holes & a huge crane.... 3rdly... a good number of the mardi gras floats were parked under the parade pavilion and covered with tarps... several months ago. lastly... They always had the extra room inside the parade building, it was a matter of having to shift around the contents inside so that they sill had enough room for the Superstar floats to exit/enter the building.
  4. "Don't Open! Dead Inside!"

  5. Just because i'm an ass.... I figured i'd post this Screamscape Update - (2/13/12) Screamscape Update - (2/16/12) Here is that Penn & Teller article http://www.insidethe...lebrity-survey/ Penn's Tweet on Twitter: As you can see, Screamscape posted the rumor of P&T back in February. Then 'Inside The Magic' posted an article regarding a survey that included both Alice Cooper and P&T. Then of course we have the actual tweet from Penn himself about their meetings with Universal. And just for kicks, here is a random article claiming that we were getting TWD as a house along with Alice Cooper... http://acomicbookblog.com/2012/04/walking-dead-prison-themed-maze-coming-to-universal-studios/ That article was initially uploaded on April 24th. But Screamscape reported the rumblings of TWD on April 20th. (4/20/12)
  6. Why exactly is it a waste of a house? seriously, i'd love to hear a fully detailed explanation on why you think this. As far as i'm concerned, with that type mentality, any of this years rumored houses could be considered "a waste of a house". "Ugh TWD!? Really? MORE zombies?... what a complete waste of a house" You really seem to have a very limited and very narrow point of creative view towards things like HHN. You probably are one of those that have it in their mind that if something isn't directly horror based, it isnt scary or it doesnt belong at HHN. How about broadening your horizons a little and expanding your skewed vision to thinking "outside of the box". I guarantee you that if HHN limited itself to your way of thinking, the event wouldnt be on its 22nd year... and Knott's wouldn't be celebrating its 40th haunt event.
  7. TNA is in SS21 and they have bleachers set up along with room to stand around. During Grinchmas at IOA, they use SS20 for the show. They have the stage set up and again, stadium style bleachers for seating.
  8. Peter... that is the original event description... it reverted back to that yesterday. The zombie related description was only on the site for about roughly 10minutes
  9. why does it have to be "infected by zombies"? why does ONE house (and a briefly seen description) have to define the theme? why couldn't the "theme" be "Fog world"/"other world" via Silent Hill? The "theme" (if there was one), could be just about anything...
  10. ^this was confirmed back when the house permit showed up. Scene 1 - Hospital Hallway Scene 4 - Rooftop From the video announcement, there was concept art of the store with zombies outside of the doors. That was from Season 1, so i cant remember if that scene came before or after the rooftop. on top of this we have Season 2's "barn" I'd say that the dead horse from last year's Nightingale's house will show up in either Scene 2 or 3, or somewhere close to the barn scene.
  11. Most likely a "Penn & Teller Presents".... however they could have a queue video (which can be done even with sprung tents, we saw it in 2006 & 2007). And if there was supposed to be something inside the house, it could be via videoscreens (Bloodengutz last year comes to mind) or porjection cameo (Bloody Mary inside the crypt scene of The Hallow)
  12. That's because you're not thinking outside of the box. And how is reset time any different than the multitude of victim show-scenes we have seen year after year? So yes, i CAN actually imagine the reset time because it has been done over and over again at the event before. And guess what, scareactors DO stand there and repeat the same thing over and over and over if that specific role calls for them to do so. Therefore what you just said only proves that you haven't paid attention to what goes on at the event.
  13. 2007's New Line Cinema (NOES, F13, TCM) like Legacy said 2009 - SAW, My Bloody Valentine, Chucky Here's The THING.... while we may have had houses based on the same properties, they were nothing like each other. Each were created by each event's own creative team. So if anyone visited both events in either 2007 or 2009 and went through NOES, F13, TCM, Chucky, or SAW.... they experienced something completely different and unique despite it being the same source material.
  14. 1991-2003 = ZERO "theme". Sure you had an icon in 1995 & 2000-2003, the events didn't have an overall theme. 2004 was the start of overall "themes". Some would include 2004 into the "no theme" category as well. So really you're only looking at 7 out of the 21 events having had an actual overall theme. What does Hollywood having movie houses have to do with anything? Their event has more or less featured a "theme" when the event returned in 2006. (2006 - director, 2007 - carnival, 2008 - nightmares, 2009 - movies etc etc). The two biggest movie-house based events for Orlando were 2007 & 2009, which... wait for it... had a theme and all but 1 or 2 houses were movie houses
  15. Oh so its a dumb idea for someone of celebrity status to come in and create an original house? Hmmm... funny. It has worked for Hollywood since 1998. Clive Barker (1998, 1999, 2000), Rob Zombie (1999, 2000), WWF's The Undertaker (2000), Alice Cooper (2011). Oddly enough, you have no idea how good or bad a house would be if Penn & Teller (or anyone else for that matter) were to create it. Just because you don't like the idea of it happening, doesn't mean it isnt true.
  16. And your proof would be?.... Next you're going to say that P&T don't have history with HHN... specifically not in 1992 at HHN Hollywood with a show called "The Bad Boys of Magic"...
  17. Here is the concept art seen in the video posted above...
  18. because the barn, the rv, the two house scene names (Scene 1 - Hospital Hallway, Scene 4 - Rooftop) on the permit (all of which are everywhere on the internet for millions to see) wasn't making it obvious already? And the description said zombies.. it said nothing about TWD, so therefore AMC can't have any say about it being promoted when TWD wasn't even mentioned.
  19. ^what is posted above is not the "updated" version. Here are the three event descriptions they have done & the dates they were "updated" on the official site. Updated: June 4th, 2012 (initial teaser site) Updated: July 16th, 2012 (Silent Hill Anouncement) Updated: July 17th, 2012 (zombie horde 'announcement') This particular description could briefly be seen in the "Event Overview" section which is in the "About" tab located on the upper right corner of the official website. The reason why i said briefly, was because that they changed the event description back to the original one so that it does not mention the zombies. Now why they wouldn't have just made it the version that mentions Silent Hill is beyond me. You'll notice though, this 3rd version doesn't even mention Silent Hill.
  20. Many Mardi Gras floats are parked under the Parade Pavilion and covered with tarps. From my understanding, they apparently only use the one garage style door for the Superstar floats & its in the back. There is also empty space in the center for float maintenance. The rest of the floats are shoved on the HHN side of the parade building. The interior is huge. Keep in mind, they also have Macy's parade floats as well. I would be surprised if all of the MG floats were parked under the pavilion. Eitherway, thats 3 parades, and only one of them is "active" on a daily basis. The permit for the 7th house has been filed. They did it internally by using the already existing SS44 house permit. The fee has been paid, the permit has been reviewed, so now we're just waiting for the new one to show up and them to start construction. Despite SS33 being on the rehearsals listing, they have no reason to delay house construction there because VIP/special event dinners can go elsewhere, but no construction has begun inside. And like previously stated, people have been CAST (NOT "casted") in B79 which is the parade building. However, it has been said that there has been no house construction in there yet. Most likely because they'll need to figure out spacing. Keep in mind, rehearsals don't start until Sept 3rd. So they have roughly 1 month & 2 weeks to get a house built & fully themed.
  21. I was referring to the THING creatures they used. Specifically the THING animatronics & costumes. So yea, I found last year's house to be very successful with what they created. And I experienced the house from EP night all the way to Halloween, so i have no problem giving it praise where it succeeded. I even had a few good scares some nights. My point is, i have faith that they could do wonders with a RE house, just like they'll do wonders with the SH house. The success of SH as a house will open new doors for HHN, including creatively.
